Dr. Daniel Vasquez Balderrama has been in private practice since June of 2004. He was born and raised in Carlsbad, N.M & earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, from New Mexico State University. He attended Marquette University School of Dentistry where he earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in May of 2004. Dr. Balderrama finished in the top 15% of his class while maintaining a mix of family life, work, study & volunteer efforts.
Dr. Balderrama has been an active member of organized dentistry & advocate for patient care throughout his career with memberships in American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association & East Texas Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Land O Pines study club & Academy of Operative Dentistry (an internationally recognized organization that holds its annual meeting here in Chicago every February). Dr. Balderrama holds the distinction of becoming a fellow of the International Dental Implant Association, an organization committed to achieving excellence in implant dentistry through rigorous education & training of its members. Lastly, Dr. Balderrama is a member of Occlusion Design, a dental training center that focuses on education & training of the dental practitioner in the treatment planning & delivery of complex restorative/cosmetic dentistry & full mouth rehabilitations. Dr. Balderrama served on the board of the East Texas Dental Society for three consecutive years. He was twice elected as the East Texas Dental Societys nominee for the New Dentist Achievement Award, by his colleagues/peers in the TDA component society. Dr. Balderrama has participated & continues to participate in volunteer efforts such as the Texas Mission of Mercy program, Give Kids a Smile Day, Alpine Church of Christ Dental Clinic, Mission Marshall, Highway 80 Rescue Mission, & David Crockett Elementary Career Day, to name a few.
Dr. Balderrama has been happily married to his wife since January of 1998 with whom he has a daughter, who he is extraordinarily proud of. He loves spending time with his family, watching movies, supporting the Chicago Cubs, reading, fishing, visiting museums & zoos, & traveling throughout the United States. Recently he & his family have moved to the Chicagoland area, fulfilling his dream of being in the heart of organized dentistry & home of the Chicago Cubs. He & his family are overjoyed with the move & are looking forward to serving the good people of Illinois. Dr. Balderrama believes that it is essential for health care professionals to practice what they preach & to continually attempt to achieve optimal overall health. Therefore, Dr. Balderrama enjoys a constant mix of weight & cardiovascular training. Finally, Dr. Balderrama loves the practice of dentistry & serving the people who entrust him with not only their care, but with that of their friends & loved ones as well.
I am the first smiling face that you see when you walk in. In 2016, I graduated from Aurora University with a bachelors degree in Psychology & a minor in History. For the past 2 years I have been working in the dental industry & I absolutely love it. Outside of the office, I am very active in my community. Theatre is my passion; from acting, directing & singing, you will always find me on stage. I also enjoy spending time with my family & friends, cooking, reading & karaoke. I began my career in the dental field as a Dental Assistant. I had the privilege of building trusting relationships with patients and over time my passion for prevention grew. This passion served as the catalyst for wishing to further my education in becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist. In 2010, I realized my dream by earning a degree in Dental Hygiene from Rock Valley College. I thoroughly enjoy providing gentle & thorough dental care while educating and encouraging patients to practice and maintain good oral health habits. Through the love of my career, I feel that I am perfectly positioned to make a substantial contribution to peoples lives within our community. I am looking forward to using my gift with compassion to help you obtain and keep a healthy beautiful smile throughout a lifetime.
I graduated from Harper College in 1975 & have been in private practice ever since. Through the years I have compiled extensive knowledge in all aspects of general dentistry. Working with my father, whom was a dentist, Dr. Chroust & now Dr. Balderrama, has allowed me to gain unique & ever changing insight into all aspects of patient care. I am passionate about dentistry & continue to grow with the times. I find that this enables me to continually provide our patients with the best dentistry has to offer. Education & promotion of good oral health are my passion. Patient care, individual need, & comfort are my top priorities. I am married to my childhood sweetheart of 41 years, have two grown boys, a daughter-in-law, & 3 year old grandson, whom I adore. In my free time I enjoy gardening, ornithology & sunshine.
I earned my Dental Assisting certificate from Waubonsee Community College & joined Dr. Balderrama in 2017 when he arrived from Texas. I assist Dr. Balderrama on a daily basis by remaining chair side during rendering of all clinical treatment in addition to placing patients at ease and facilitating all aspects of patient care. I am an outgoing, friendly, person who cares dearly for all our patients. I love dentistry & being able to interact & develop relationships with all the good people of North Aurora & the Chicagoland area. I have two children & enjoy spending time with my family. In addition, I love going to the movies. Overall I pride myself on being a sincere & caring person who strives to develop great relationships with everyone with whom I come in contact. I have a strong work ethic & have always believed in treating others how I would want to be treated. I am Bilingual speaking both Spanish & English, which allows me to effectively communicate with & help a broader patient base. I look forward to meeting you & helping in any way I can.
