Our doctors are conservative in their treatment practices, planning for the most efficient and predictable treatment time by using clinically proven, state-of-the-art dental and orthodontic treatments. Little ones benefit from dental hygiene education, preventive cleanings, fluoride, and sealants, while patients of all ages can take advantage of traditional metal or clear braces, lingual braces, and even Invisalign clear aligners.
Our newest location in Westlake Village has been described as a childrens wonderland by many dental publications. We recommend our Peek- a- Boo complimentary visit for children under three years of age. We are available evenings and Saturdays in addition to our regular daily schedule.
Dr. Alami lives in Westlake Village with his wife and three children, and is very active in the community. He attended the University of California, Santa Barbara and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. He attended Indiana University School of Dentistry and subsequently completed a three-year pediatric program at the University of California, San Francisco.
He is recognized as a Fellow by the College of Diplomates and as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and was appointed to the faculty of the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry Residency/Post-Doctorate Program in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Alami belongs to the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, California Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Santa Barbara/Ventura County Dental Society, and the Cayman Islands Medical Dental Society.
He has received many merit awards including publications for the National Institute of Health and induction into the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He supports and participates in many charitable events in the surrounding communities.
Dr. Barry grew up in Thousand Oaks and has spent most of her life in the Conejo Valley. She graduated from La Reina High School and attended Santa Clara University, where she majored in biology. Dr. Barry received her D.D.S. from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and completed her residency program in pediatric dentistry at Loma Linda. Following her residency program, Dr. Barry served as an Assistant Professor in Pediatric Dentistry at Loma Linda while she was completing her Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Barry is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Santa Barbara-Ventura County Dental Society. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Barry also serves on the Board of Directors of La Reina High School in Thousand Oaks.
Dr. Gelman was born in the Ukraine and moved to Los Angeles, CA when she was ten years old. She received her Bachelors degree in biology from the University of Michigan. She then moved to UCLA where she received her dental degree and completed her pediatric dental residency. Dr. Gelman has provided her services for the Give Kids a Smile foundation and the UCLA Venice Clinic.

I brought my almost 4 year old son to the dentist for the first time. Everyone was very friendly and made this experience easy. Teacher Cheryl and Dr. Joey were the best showing and explaining everything they did to my son and letting him touch the dental tools to see how they work before they used them on him.

Had the absolutel best experience possible with our kiddo who has Autism. We had a small dental emergency and Dr. Joey was beyond accommodating making sure we were seen after returning an after hours call. He was so kind and gentle with our son and was very understating of the extra attention needed for his special needs. His assistant Cheryl was simply perfection! She was kind, patient, reassuring and treated our son amazing. The whole office staff was so attentive and Understanding of our situation. They all gave compliments and extra attention to our kiddo!!! I can never thank Oak Park Dentistry in Simi Valley and Dr.Joey enough!!!

All the dentists we have seen here have been so incredibly kind to my son and I. I had a lot of fear and guilt around my sons dental issues due to long term nursing. None of the dentists shamed me and were all very understanding assured me it was very common in breast fed children (something I wasn't aware of ). My 2.5 year old wasn't scared at all and was laughing through his visit! Both offices are very cute and makes the environment very welcoming.

Dr Pedram and his staff are amazing. It was our daughter's first dentist appointment in a while and they were kind, compassionate and most importantly very very good. I can't say enough positive things about this pediatric dental practice!

This is not our primary dentist. We come here for X-rays and fillings or sealants. I've been so anxious every time one of my kids needed fillings but the dentists and assistants get very creative making this a comfortable environment for kids. Cavities are called sugar bugs. The material to do the filling is called "sparkles". When they apply the numbing shot one dentist called it a "car wash" for the teeth. And the kids have glasses and headphones on with a movie so they can't see what's going on their mouth. The staff make kids feel confident and proud during their appointment and after. And don't expect to leave without loads of fun prizes and stickers. I'm very thankful we have such a wonderful dentist office for kids here in Simi. P.S. my kids have all had Dr. Joey for their fillings and have fond memories of him. We have seen Dr. Alami for an appointment and he was fantastic too!

My 3 boys have been going to Oak Park since they were born. The doctors and staff are amazing. They know how to accommodate for kids with fear of dentists, gag reflexes, or any other challenge my boys have to showed up to appointments with. They know how to put the kids at ease to be able to get the cleaning or work done without traumatizing them. I highly recommend any of the dentists at Oak Park.

All the Drs are awesome and the hygienist are the best!! So friendly to kids!! I've been to multiple peds dentist before I settled @ Oak Park. My son had a problem with his tooth and they did their best to see them right away!! Preventative is their priority and I love that!!!

My twins just had their first visit there. Dr Joey and Mari and the rest of the staff were amazing! So great with my kids, made the visit not so scary for them! They sang to them, gave them prizes at the end and were just so nice and professional. They also sent us pics of the visit. Highly recommend Oak Park dentistry!
