Kristofer Popelas, D.M.D.graduated with Honors in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh. He then continued on to pursue his Doctorate degree, again becoming an Honors graduate of the University's School of Dental Medicine. Throughout his time there, he was often awarded for his outstanding clinical and academic achievements. He is a member in good standing with several organizations including (but not limited to) the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Dental Society of Western Pennsylvania. Locally, he is also involved with various civic and community events and organizations.
In 2006, Dr. Popelas openedOak Hill Dentalin the same Township where he grew up as a child. This comfortable and very friendly environment has made him the go-to Neighborhood Dentist. In order to keep their dental practice on the cutting edge though, a great deal of time is devoted to continuing education and research. This allows their practice to remain current with the latest dental technologies and advanced procedures, while still retaining that small-town feel.
While away from the office, Dr. Popelas enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, Mary, and their two sons Benjamin and Parker. He is an avid golfer and fisherman and has a passion for all Pittsburgh sports, especially the Steelers. Dr. Kris (as his patients routinely refer to him as) is very approachable and kind-hearted and always looks out for his patient's best interests.
Kristin, has been a Dental Hygienist since 2000. She loves educating her patients in a relaxed and friendly manner, which in turn strengthens their rapport and comfort level. In addition, her energetic and lively personality is a constant reminder that oral health care can be fun! In her free time, she loves spending time her wonderful friends and family, especially watching her husband Don, and daughter Aly, play ice hockey.
As an interesting side note, Dr. Kris and Kristin are actually brother and sister and opened Oak Hill Dental together in 2006. This has given a brand new perspective to what Family Dentistry really means.Not only are they family, but also make their patients feel like it too!
Kim, has been a Dental Hygienist since 1994. She had a desire to makeOak Hill Dental her professional home after her very first visit to the office. Their up-to-date work environment and great team atmosphere made for a perfect fit. She always has an upbeat attitude and an exceptional way of easing a patient's anxieties. She always enjoys the opportunity to help her patients understand why routine oral care is so beneficial to one's overall health. In her free time, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, and their three children.
Erinhas been a Dental Hygienist since 2016. She knew that she wanted to make Oak Hill Dental her dental home because of their welcoming atmosphere, their compassion towards every patient, and the way the entire staff works together as a team. Erin always has a friendly attitude and has a way of making even the most dental-phobic patients feel at ease. In her free time, Erin loves to be with her husband Scott and four children; Zachary, Anthony, Alexis, and Olivia.
Gloriahas been the head Receptionist here atOak Hill Dentalsince 2006. She handles a multitude of tasks, allowing the office to operate smoothly. Gloria is always there with a comforting smile and is willing to help the patients in anyway she can. While away from the office, she enjoys baking and is very involved with her Church.
Erica has been working in the dental administration field since 2016. She is thrilled to bring her skillset to Oak Hill Dental, where her friendly and calming attitude will fit right in! Always willing to lend a helping hand, Erica will assist with all of the front office duties and will be well received by all. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Casey and being a Soccer Mom to her two daughters Victoria and Alexandra.

The best dentist office in the universe. Dr.Kris is so kind, gentle, quick, knowledgeable, and anything else that makes a great dentist. The girls that work there are the absolute best. They go above and beyond to make you feel at ease and part of their little family. They are so great with kids and adults alike. I love love love them all. Keep up the great work guys!

Absolutely puts me at ease. I love the office staff the DR and the hygienists. Recommend 1000+% I usually hate dentist but not this one! I actually enjoy seeing him.

Oak Hill Dental is the best dental practice in the area. The staff makes you feel at home and are excellent at making you feel comfortable. Dr. Popelas is an awesome dentist and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a smooth experience. Don't hesitate to make an appointment because you will not be disappointed.

Very family oriented. Professional, polite and always there when/if you need them. They are a first name basis type of place that actually cares and gets to know you as a person. I never feel less than a part of the family there.

Oak Hill Dental has become my new dentist after being with my prior dentist for 30 plus years. I can tell you they made me feel so very welcome and completely comfortable. Dr. Kris was a true pleasure to meet, such a knowledgeable and very kind man. Erin is truly awesome at her job!! So kind from the moment I walk in the door til my appointment was over. One incredible staff!!!! I'm thankful to have a new dentist that can care for my teeth totally professional while also feeling that kind personal touch!!! Really means SO MUCH!

I can't say enough about Oak Hill Dental and their staff! There is not one person there that doesn't go above and beyond for you and your needs! Our whole family comes here and my oldest daughter has always hated the dentist, not anymore!! She loves coming in now. I could go on and on about how great they are! Thank You everyone there! You truly are the best!

We absolutely love Oak Hill Dental. I have been bringing my son here for 4 years and will be starting my daughter in the fall. Miss Kristen takes wonderful care of our kids and has made coming to the dentist not a scary experience at all. She (and all of the other staff) make us feel like family and so welcome while we are there. Dr. Kris also takes time to explain things and is wonderful with our kids.

They have been our family dentist for years. And, one by one, our extended family have started going. The kids always look forward to their check-ups. The whole staff is so sweet and obviously care a great deal. Highly recommended!

What an amazing experience. I have grown a Distrust in seeing the Dentist over the past couple years but my first visit to Oak Hill has changed that. The staff was extremely kind and knowledgeable. My Hygienist Kristin was incredible. Not only did she do a great job, she made me feel extremely comfortable being there and made great conversation. Dr. Kris was very professional and definitely knows his stuff. They genuinely make you feel like family. I can't recommend enough.

Dr. Kris and his staff are amazing!!!! From the second you would in the door Gloria makes you feel welcome. Kim gives you the cleanest, nicest smile to leave with (along with the other girls). Recently I had to have a crown. I am such a baby! Dr. Kris made me feel totally comfortable with no pain! That's right no pain at all!

Before going to Oak Hills Dental, I would put going to the dentist off because just the thought of it would give me anxiety from previous experiences. Dr. Kris and his staff are different. Whether it's a phone call or a visit, you can tell that he and his staff truly care about their patients. They make sure that you're comfortable during your visit, answer any questions or concerns you may have - even after you leave, they're just a phone call away and make you feel like family. If I could give Oak Hills Dental more than 5 stars, I would. Highly recommend!

I have never written a review before, but I will on Oak Hill Dental. The dentist ,Dr Kris, is passionate about his work and his patients. He takes the time to thoroughly explain everything he is doing and the options you have. My dental hygienist, Kim , is top notch. The staff genuinely cares about their patients. Your just not another patient to them. From the time you walk in to the time you leave everyone is chatting and super friendly their there doing what they love to do and it's reflected onto their patients. The office is impeccably clean and every season is redecorated. They pay attention to the fine details. February it's Valentine's month you get a red paper bib for your exam. Seasonal flavored polish creams. Time for a x ray up to date digital x ray machine. The list goes on and on about how truly wonderful this dentistry is. You looked up google review to get a insight on this Dentist and the reviews of overwhelmingly positive that should tell you all you need to know , but hey don't take my word experience it for yourself and then you to can add a wonderful review of the best dentist you've ever been to Dr. Kris.

I've been to several dentists' offices and this is the best BY FAR of any of them. You'd be crazy to go anywhere else! Everyone genuinely cares and it shows by how us patients are treated. Not to mention...they have at least 15 different toothpaste flavors!! Had cherry pie yesterday!

I had my 2nd visit with Kristen today and I couldn't be happier. These people are fantastic. The entire staff is very inviting and you are comfortable from the minute you walk in the door. I cannot Thank them enough for the sincere kindness. They are truly a blessing in disguise. Thank you all. Highly recommend you give them a try, you will not regret it.
