Dr. Tan received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She went on to attend the College of Dentistry and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2006. While in dental school, she became a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, one of the highest honors granted to the nations dental students. Following her DDS degree, Dr. Tan remained at the University of Illinois at Chicago for three years to complete her specialty training in Advanced Prosthodontics.
Dr. Tan further continued her training and earned a second specialty in Orthodontics from the University of Detroit Mercy in Michigan. Concurrently, she graduated with a Master of Science degree in Oral Sciences. She is the only dentist in Hawaii that is dual trained in both Prosthodontics and Orthodontics. Due to this unique background, Dr. Tan has the ability to treat patients presenting with any degree of complexity.
She has also successfully completed the Board Certification process with the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) the highest level of professional achievement. This challenging certification process is voluntary but is a demonstration of Dr. Tans commitment to the pursuit of continued proficiency and excellence in the profession and to the quality of care for her patients.

My daughter taylor has been going there for several months now. Dr.Tan is truly amazing and taylor is always excited to go to her appointments. we scheduled them so that she gets to go to her appointments along with her friend at the exact same time. this ortho is amazing!!!

Dr. Tan and staff are superb. The service is excellent. From quality care, to up-to-date technology and techniques, her expertise and genuine concern for patients is beyond what I expected and my Son's teeth are perfect now. Thank you Dr. Tan and Laura!

My son worked with Dr. Tan for 18 months and she and her office staff were wonderful. Dr. Tan is knowledgeable, efficient, and respectful of her patients. The care my son received was fantastic - we never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen and the office is designed to be a great waiting space for families. My son has a crossover bite top tooth that needed to be corrected/aligned. His dentist recommended Oahuorthodontics. Without any insurance coverage, we were afraid that it would cost a fortune but the price there is very reasonable.They worked with us and offered many options of payment. Dr Rosemarie Tan and her stuff are very friendly and welcoming. The office/ waiting room is modern, clean and kid friendly. We will come back here again when my son needs his bottom teeth braces.

Been coming here for over a year and Dr.Tan and Tiff have been nothing but amazing! Couple of my bottom teeth were super sensitive and painful and I had been suffering with this for as long as I can remember. My dentist, Dr.Lum, and other dentists I went to couldn't figure out what was happening. One of them went so far as to recommend a root canal to get rid of the pain! I was very frustrated and was about to give up all hope. I had a consultation with Dr.Tan and she pointed out right away what the problem was. It was the way my top teeth were hitting my bottom teeth, my bite was not aligned and causing a lot of pressure on some of my bottom teeth. Hallelujah! I finally had the answer I had been searching everywhere for. I had braces on for over a year to realign my bite. I just got them off and I have been cured from all the pain and sensitivity. An added bonus is now I have incredibly nice smile! No exaggeration: Dr.Tan has been a godsend and I thank her and her team for saving me!
