Drs. Sean and Stephanie ORourke are true Georgia natives! Having met in dental school after attending Georgia College and UGA respectively, they received their Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degrees from the Medical College in Augusta, GA in 1997 and 1996. They persistently continue to attend the most up-to-date, continuing education classes available. They take exceptional pride in maintaining their leading-edge practice in Cumming, using the latest in dental equipment and techniques. Both are members of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association. They opened their practice in 1999 in Brannon Office Park off of Peachtree Parkway and have seen the tremendous growth in Forsyth County.
While their practice is very important, family and faith matter most. They have two teen children, Patrick and Kate, whom they adore. Most of their time outside the office is spent watching their son, Patrick, pitch in travel and varsity baseball and their daughter, Kate, sing and perform in musical theater at school or at Forsyth Academy of Performing Arts, as well as being active participants in their local church. Of course, we cant leave out their passionate cheering for their favorite national baseball and college football teams!
Dr. Sean grew up in Madison, GA and has wanted to be a dentist since he was 13 years old. He is an Eagle Scout and got the idea to be a dentist from his mentor and Boy Scout leader, who is also a dentist. Dr. Sean enjoys playing tennis and is excited his daughter Kate has taken up the sport. He also enjoys theatre, not just watching, but performing and helping behind the scenes with Kates shows. He attended college with tennis and theatre scholarships before heading to the Medical College of Georgia. He has been performing in community theatre since the 3rd grade, and has been in dozens of productions, with his most recent as Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol at Bulloch Hall located in Roswell, GA.
Dr. Stephanie grew up in Jonesboro, GA. She also decided to become a dentist at a very young age. Her inspiration came from her childhood orthodontist and from the experiences watching dentistry being performed on family at Emory Dental School when she was a young teen. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Biology degree before continuing her education in Augusta, where she met her future husband. When he wasnt making her laugh, he was asking her to do his lab work. She declined, of course. They eventually ended up madly in love and married in 1998. She is passionately involved with her parish, especially her intimate bible study group, Walking With Purpose. When she is not with friends or at her kids multitude of activities, she enjoys reading and hanging out with her shadow - Oliver, the dog.

Listen - I didn't go to the dentist for 10 years - I hate the dentist - BUT I LOVE SEAN & STEPHANIE and now I go on a regular basis - if they can get me to go to the dentist then YOU should go to them - they are super knowledgeable, nice, and gentle with babies like me - plus, the staff is the best - I love hanging out and talking to them - you're missing out if you don't go to O'Rourke Family Dentistry - take it from me - I know :)

The dentist is never the most exciting place to go, but it's exceptionally worse here. I don't typically write reviews, but I wouldn't recommend this office at all. I had been going for a few years, and it has steadily declined. I feel like it used to be better. Now the staff is unfriendly and rude. If you are someone who gets anxiety about going to the dentist, AVOID this office. Wish I would've left and switched to a different office a long time ago.

This practice is amazing! My whole family have been patients here for years. Insurance benefits have always been explained in great detail to us prior to each visit. There have never been any surprises with our fees. The dentists are gentle and well informed. The office is very clean. Assistants helpful and work well with the doctors. Hygienists thorough and explain everything they are doing as well. LOVE THEM!

Dr. Sean makes my children feel comfortable and always has them smiling. I have a daughter who gets anxiety during any visit to doctor offices. She never gets upset or scared when seeing this dental office. They are very family friendly.
