Dr. ORourke grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee and graduated from Bearden High School in Knoxville, Tennessee. He attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology. While attending UT, Dr. ORourke worked for and was mentored by Dr. Steve Ollard and Dr. Mickey Crowell at their orthodontic practice in Bearden.
Dr. ORourke was accepted to The University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences College of Dentistry in Memphis, Tennessee, where he received the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. After completing dental school, he attended St. Louis University where he received his degree Master Science in Dentistry. After completing the clinical requirements and his masters thesis, he received the degree of Master of Science in Dentistry.
For over 30 years, Dr. ORourke has provided the highest quality orthodontic treatment in Farragut. His office serves patients from Bearden, Hardin Valley, Karns and Oak Ridge to Loudon County including Lenoir City and Loudon. He is a member of the Second District Dental Society, the Tennessee Dental Association, and the American Dental Association as well as, a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists and the Tennessee Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. ORourke and his wife, Sallye, have been married for 26 years and have three children. Dr. ORourke spends his free time with his family on Norris Lake and at UT football games. He is an avid long-distance runner and has completed 34 marathons, 17 being the Boston Marathon which he trains for every year. On Wednesday nights, Dr. ORourke can be found UNDER THE BRIDGE with the Lost Sheep Ministry, providing routine dental care for the homeless of Knoxville.

Both of my step children went and had their orthodontic treatment with O'Rourke and had nothing less than a great experience. I needed orthodontic treatment so at 40 years old I went in and after 16+ months of treatment I am sure glad I did!!!!! He is personable. He has an excellent staff. They understand exactly what you are going through and help you every step along the way. They LISTEN to you. Before you know it, your treatment is over. Mine flew by! I am going to miss seeing them as regularly as I did. I am extremely happy with the results. It was beyond worth it and I would never recommend anyone else other than O'Rourke and his amazing staff to anyone looking for orthodontic treatment.

It's been years but after having another Orthodontist look at my teeth and tell me my original orthodontist did me wrong, I felt this needed to be said. Dr.Orourke first told me I wasn't a candidate for invisible aligners when in fact, not only am I a candidate but I also was told with my condition I would've been better off without traditional braces. When I asked why Dr.O'rourke told me I wouldn't have been a candidate before, the new doctor said many Orthodontists say this because they don't offer this option and don't want to loose your business. I had braces TWICE; once in high school and then again in college when my teeth just wouldn't stay straight. Both times afterwards my teeth began to quickly shift back. Dr.O'rourke accused me many times of not wearing my retainers when in fact I wore them almost constantly to try and keep my teeth straight after all the pain I went through the second time. Why would I go through having braces a second time just to not wear my retainer? Now here I sit with very crooked teeth again for the third time in my life as an embarrassed adult because someone decided to make money off of my parents when I was younger. If you're considering braces I'd first look elsewhere or get a second opinion at the very least.

Best orthodontist in the world! The whole staff is so sweet. Everytime I go they always ask me if I need any floss or stuff like that! Dr. O'rouke done my dads braces years ago. That's why we picked him because my dad loved him and he knew I would love him! Dr. O'rouke always has a smile on his face and always makes sure his people are taken care of and makes them feel confident! I cannot begin to say how thankful for the confidence he gave me with my teeth! Oh the staff and dr. O'rouke dress up for Halloween and other holidays! In conclusion, I will and forever recommend him to my friends and family!

O'Rouke is hands down the best orthodontist ever. He is excellent at what he does, and the customer service is top notch (one time I had a rougue wire painfully poking into my cheek and he dropped what he was doing to come take care of it, in the parking lot of his office, dressed in running clothes, on a Saturday!). O'Rouke put on my braces when I was in middle school, removed them when I was in high school, and when my teeth moved back as an adult - now a decade later, he still sees me regularly, at no cost, and such retainer visits have substantially improved my smile. He even made special accomodations for me to be ready for my wedding, seeing me every 3 weeks instead of 6 leading right up to the big day! His skill, devotion to clients, and the way he firmly stands behind his work - even after many many years - makes him the absolute best in his field. I strongly recommend O'Rouke to anyone seeking an orthodontist in the area!!
