Dr. J. Michael OGara was raised in Reno, NV; he graduated from Bishop Manogue High School and the University of Nevada, Reno before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of Southern California in 1979. Dr. OGara has received a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry as a distinction for his commitment to post-graduate education (a distinction awarded to less than 1% of dentists). Dr. OGara is committed to delivering state-of-the-art dentistry in a gentle caring environment. With 27 years of experience and hundreds of hours of post-graduate education, Dr. OGara is able to create and maintain beautiful smiles in just a few office visits.
Dr. OGara continues to strive for excellence through cutting-edge technology and techniques. He is certified in the use of the diode laser and has received training and certificates in Anxiolysis (conscious sedation) in addition to the use of nitrous oxide to provide the patient with a comfortable and stress-free dental experience.
Dr. OGara has been awarded a Fellowship and completed extensive training at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental studied in Advanced & Comprehensive Aesthetic Restoration (full mouth restoration which is completed by less than 600 dentists world-wide) and in Neuromuscular Dentistry.
Dr. Tricia OGara was born and raised in Reno, Nevada where she spends most of her time with her husband and three children, Brayden, Kylie, and Chase. Their hobbies include outdoor activities such as water skiing, tennis and mountain bike riding.
Dr. OGara graduated from Bishop Manogue High School and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada, Reno before receiving her DDS degree at the University of Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California.
Kayleene graduated from Truckee Meadows Community College Dental Assisting Program in 2006, which is when she started her career with the OGara Dental Team. Kayleene is the Operations Coordinator for the practice. The most rewarding part of her job is ensuring the best possible experience for our patients. She loves comforting patients and watching them leave the office with a confident smile. Kayleene enjoys music, singing, camping, spending time with her very large family, and making awesome memories with her husband Adam and their two adorable boys Cole and Cooper.
Roberta started her dental career in Sacramento, CA in 1985. After working as a California Registered Dental Assistant for several years, Roberta switched gears to dental office management & consulting. In 2006, Roberta made the big leap and moved to Nevada in search of a calmer lifestyle, while still commuting to California to work for nearly two years. Roberta has been with OGara Dental Care since 2009. The biggest joy in Robertas life is her grandchildren! Roberta also enjoys travel, concerts, wine tasting and exploring new dining cuisine.
Staci joined the OGara Dental Team in 2020, she is a Practice Administrator and the Social Media Ambassador. Staci enjoys interacting and build relationships with our patients. Staci was born in Santa Cruz, CA. Staci enjoys the outdoors, camping, fishing, photography, collecting hydro flask and loving every day.
Amanda started in dentistry in 2006 working at a pediatric dental office. She graduated from Truckee Meadows Community College with a degree on dental hygiene in 2012 and began working with OGara Dental shortly after. She loves every aspect of being a hygienist, especially being able to educate and help patients daily with all their dental hygiene needs. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband Chad and daughter Brooklynn. They enjoy being with family and friends enjoying the outdoors, skiing, mountain biking, going to lake/camping and everything this area has to offer.
Patti is a Native Nevadan, she grew up on a farm in Fallon. She has been in the dental field since she was 17. Patti has three children. She loves to ski, garden, camp, go to music festivals and travel.
Heather is a Nevada native who loves to travel and explore with her husband and son Emerson. She graduated from TMCCs dental assisting program in 2013 and had worked with team OGara ever since. Heather also enjoys camping, hiking, boating, and reading.
Noel has been working at Dr. OGaras office for the last 2 years and is still going strong. Noel was born in El Salvador, but has been in Reno for the past 29 years. He enjoys, photography, bike riding, and traveling in addition to spending time with family and friends.

I've Been a patient of Dr Michael O'Gara for 35+ years. He and his staff are extremely professional. Mike is a super nice guy and truly cares about his patients welfare! Always a pain free experience. He goes out of his way to explain the treatment you are receiving. Special Kudos go out to Amanda... she has been my dental hygienist for a decade. I actually look forward to getting my teeth cleaned

I have been with O'Gara dental for some time they are always friendly and ask if I am having any issues, a lot if patient do not like getting there teeth cleaned, but I look forward to a good cleaning take care of your teeth so you won't have to get more involved care, thank you O'Gara dental.

I have been seeing Dr Mike for years. He is very nice and genuinely cares about his patients. He always asks to make sure you are comfortable during procedures and has a great bedside manner. He tells you what he's going to do and what's coming next if needed. My hygienist is Amanda. She is super nice and professional. She makes you feel comfortable and we always have a great conversation during my visits. I check out with Roberta mostly. She is very professional and knows the insurance companies in her sleep. She is very knowledgeable and always very nice. I'm glad I chose Dr Mike's office as my dental provider.

This is what professional dental care looks like. Scheduling, payment processing, and customer service are 5 stars. Ditto availability. Had an introductory assessment (1st visit) and received treatment later the same day. Post-procedure some pain is common. Nope. No pain, no sensitivity to hot or cold... so 5 stars across the board for O'Gara Dental. Home run on the first pitch of the game.
