Dr. Matt ODell is a native of Hurricane, WV. After attending college at Marshall University, he went on to finish among the top of his class and earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from West Virginia University. Upon graduation, he completed his three year specialty residency in orthodontics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and earned his Masters of Science degree.
Dr. ODell became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics after successfully completing all phases of the ABO certification exam. He is one of eight board certified orthodontists in West Virginia and the ONLY one in the Teays Valley/Huntington area.
After working two years in private practice in Chicago, Dr. ODell had the pleasure to return home and join the practice. Since 2013, Dr. ODell has had the pleasure of serving the area with highly personalized orthodontic care. Outside the office, Dr. ODell enjoys all sporting activities, outdoors, and spending time with his wife, Elizabeth Pham ODell. In 2016, His wife opened her new amazing dental practice, Creative Pediatric Dentistry, right next door to ODell Orthodontics in Teays Valley. Now Dr. ODell and his wife are work neighbors!
Dr. ODell strive through continuing education to search for the newest, innovative orthodontic developments to ensure their patients are always receiving the most advanced orthodontic treatment available. They maintain one of the most progressive offices in West Virginia, with locations inHurricaneandBarboursville. ODell Orthodontics offers state-of-the-art digital radiography, impressionless digital intraoral scanning, and many other advanced treatment modalities.
Dr. Choi is originally from Seoul, South Korea and now resides in our lovely state! Dr. Choi earned her Doctoral Degree of Dental Surgery and Master of Science in Orthodontics from West Virginia University. Dr. Choi graduated as the valedictorian of the class and was also inducted into the dental academic honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Choi is an experienced board eligible orthodontist and a member of various professional organizations including American Association of Orthodontist, Southern Association of Orthodontist, and American Dental Association. She specializes in the early interceptive treatment, adult treatment, dentofacial orthopedic treatment, conjunction with orthognathic surgery, cleft lip and palate treatment, sleep apnea management, and TMD management. Yes, Dr. Choi is a knowledgeable doctor whose passion is making smiles and she is looking forward to seeing those smiles right here in our office!
