Born in Red Wing, Minnesota and moving around the nation during childhood, Dr. Darin OBryan returned to Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota Dental School in 1996. He became a partner in a large group practice in Minneapolis where he practiced until 2004. He followed family ties and moved to the South Coast of Oregon with his wife and two daughters.
Dr. OBryan is an associate professor in the OHSU Dental program as well as a Mentor for multiple dental groups in the field. He is Faculty Club of Spear Education and a CEREC Mentor at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry in Scottsdale, AZ. In the spring of 2010 Dr. OBryan became the CEREC trainer for Oregon, Southern Washington, and Northern California. Once a month Dr. OBryan travels to Portland and other areas to train other dentists in the most advanced technologies in dentistry.
In addition to training other dentists, Dr OBryan speaks to dental societies and National Dental classes about the advances in dentistry and his integration of this dental technology into a small town practice. His training of the Cone Beam CT technology and placement of his own implants from extraction to final restoration have been published in national and international dental magazines.
He has completed hundreds of hours in advanced training for cosmetic restorations, implant placement and grafting, full mouth rehabilitations and many other areas of dentistry that are often referred out to specialists.
Active in the Coos Bay Yacht Club on Tenmile Lake, he races a Geary 18 sailboat with his oldest daughter and wife. The coast of Oregon has become home since 2004, and Dr OBryan has continued to become an integral part and supporter of our community here on the South Coast!
Ashlee was born and raised here in beautiful Coos Bay, Oregon. She graduated from the Oregon Institute of Technology in 2008 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene and has worked with Dr. OBryan since 2011.
Ashlee and her husband recently welcomed a daughter to their family this year. She and her family love spending time outdoors with their crazy golden retrievers, working in her yard, and on home improvements. In her spare time, Ashlee is also an assistant coach with Marshfield high schools dance team, The Upbeats.
Rian is a 2004 Dental Assistant Graduate of Apollo College in Portland, Oregon. She has her X-ray and Expanded Functions Certifications, and also has earned her Restorative Certification. She has been with OBryan Advanced Dentistry since 2008.
Rian moved to Coos bay from Vancouver, Washington in the fall of 2008. She loves the area, and all of the benefits a smaller town has to offer. She enjoys working with the patients in our small community and is excited about the relationships we are able to build with the families here in our practice.
Rian is happy to educate and inform our patients about their treatment. By sharing her knowledge and experiences obtained through the continuing education and advanced technology offered by OBryan Advanced Dentistry, Rian is able to help place value in our patients care. She is highly motivated to provide you with the best experience possible in our office.
Outside of our practice, Rian is the Dental Assisting Program Instructor at Southwestern Oregon Community College. She enjoys taking advantage of the resources our beautiful area has to offer, such as kayaking and playing on the dunes. She is also an excellent photographer and floral designer, with some of her work displayed in our office.
Rian looks forward to developing a valued professional relationship with our patients. She strives to provide a warm and welcome atmosphere for your visit. She is eager to establish, grow and maintain wonderful relationships with each and every one of our patients for years to come.
Kaitlin was born in Coos Bay, but spent most of her childhood in Mountain View, CA before relocating back to Coos Bay when she was 12. Graduating from Marshfield High School in 2009, Kaitlin then worked as a Barista for 7 years managing before Dental Assisting became a passion. She is Radiology Certified as well as attaining her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certification. She has been with the practice for 3 years now and loves that she can help educate others about their oral health and treatment needs, as well as building strong relationships with her patients. In her spare time Kaitlin enjoys spending time outdoors, kayaking, spending time with her friends and family, and her Boyfriend with their dog Koko.
Born and raised in rural Minnesota, Carrie graduated from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis with a degree in Computer Science and worked as a programmer and technical writer for a small human resource software company. In 2004, she moved with her Husband, Darin, and daughters, Rowan and Moira, to Oregon. She decided to change career paths and be part of their family dental practice in North Bend.
Outside of work, Carrie is active in The Lighthouse School, where both daughters attend school. Being a part of the fundraising committee for the past three years has given her a chance to go out and meet many wonderful people in our community. She enjoys the natural beauty of the area and spending time outdoors, especially sailing with her husband on Tenmile Lake.
Born and raised in Myrtle Point, Stephanie Moved to Coos Bay in 2004 after graduating. Before joining our team in 2015 Stephanie worked for Wells Fargo as a Lead teller for 9 years, and worked a short time as a dental assistant. Her combination of dental knowledge and customer service made it easy for her to join our team.
Stacey is an Oregon native and was born and raised in Coos Bay. She graduate of South Western Community College in 2011 with a AAS in Medical Assisting. She has worked in a dental front office position since graduating.

I've had teeth cleaning, three crowns. Very professional team. My wife will be going there. Call ahead of time for appointment because there that good.

O'Bryan Dentistry is a well organized, professionally managed office. The staff members in all categories are pleasant, efficient and helpful. Dr. O'Bryan's conservative approach is refreshing and appreciated. It's nice to go to a dentist's office and be met with smiles and honest consideration for care.

Just a routine cleaning. Went okay, though I am tired of always being made to feel like I am not taking care of my teeth correctly. I brush and floss regularly and have never had a cavity in my 50 years of life. Had x-rays taken. I have a narrow mouth and that thing they make you bite down on hurts. Those things need to be redesigned so that they are more flexible. It would be nice to hear more of: "No cavities! Yay! Good job brushing and flossing!"

Really amazing people in this office. Professional, kind, very good at communication and making you feel comfortable with any procedures needed. A complete, in-house, start-to-finish practice, including a permanent crown while you wait! Cost for out of pocket things is competitive and fair and the quality of care is wonderful. I'm never going anywhere else.

Hands down the best dentist office I've ever visited. Unfortunately, I'm no stranger to dental procedures - beginning just months after my adult teeth came in when I was a child. Through every filing, root canal, extraction, braces, and now implants - has probably made me one of the most experienced dental patients to walk this earth. I'll spare the horror stories and say the level of dignity shown to me by this staff of professionals - both during non-emergency and emergency dental needs is above and beyond the 20+ dentists I've visited over the last few decades. Moral of my story - 'parents' don't let your child suffer through agonizing pain and monetary burden for decades all because you're too busy to teach them proper bushing, but if that does happen, send them here because they will be in the care of the most professional, knowledgeable, and non-judgemental dentists and staff anyone could ask for.

I had a regular cleaning and exam. The staff are all efficient and friendly. The dentist watches for potential cavities and other issues but doesn't push to get expensive work done. I really like the way O'Bryan treats their patients!

Had a very good first visit. I had never had the full head X-ray before, thought it quite funny laying back in the dentist's chair and having my skull looking at me. Was very interesting examining the skull. Look forward to the next visit.

They are proficient with both complicated dental problems and maintenance. They have their own technology, so you don't have to wait for implants, dentures, etc. the staff is happy & helpful and competent. I've had a lifetime of dental problems and can say they are one of the best I've experienced in my 76 years on the planet!

I was throughly impressed with Dr. O'Bryan's knowledge when treating my case especially after seeing two different dentists & being told in short "deal with it". He explained everything that was happening with lots of details & helped ease my mind from worrying. I look forward to finishing my treatment plan with him & any future appointments. In addition to a fantastic dentist the receptionist was super understanding & awesome. It's great to talk with a receptionist who knows what you are trying to explain & is eager to help you. The assistant was able to explain things in detail to Dr. O'Bryan so they could get the ball rolling & not waste time. Such a great experience!

I was nervous about the extraction of my wisdom teeth. But the staff and Dr.O'Bryan did an amazing job and made me feel comfortable. The process was fast and "sweet." I am truly grateful to be a patient of Dr. O'Bryan!

I had to change Dentist when I retired, and my new health Insurance was not excepting at the Dentist I have been going to for years. So, I got the list of Dentist my new insurance would take. I am confused not knowing any of them. But I am blessed and have a niece that works in the dental field. She highly recommended Dr O'Bryan. Was not disappointed, the staff was wonderful. they were gentle and thorough. I myself can HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I just went to O'Bryan Dentistry to have a Crown put on. I have to say that this was by far the most professional experience I have ever had at a dental office. I have 5 older crowns and this one by far was done to the highest standards. Perfect fit and feal the first time, and they can make the crown while you are there with their Ceric machine. Thanks so much to the team that worked on me and I will be in for a cleaning in a couple of months.
