Dr. Joann OBrien was born and raised in Plymouth, MA alongside her twin brother, Sean. She attended Sacred Heart in Kingston from kindergarten through high school and received a Bachelor of Arts in Cell and Molecular Biological Sciences with a minor in Human Development from Connecticut College.
Dr. OBrien decided to follow in her parents footsteps and chose a career in dentistry. She graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston where she earned her DMD degree. While at Tufts, Dr. OBrien was awarded the Deans Research Honors Scholarship and conducted research under Dr. Jonathan Garlick at the Center for Tissue Integrated Engineering in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Dr. OBrien was inducted into the Robert Andrews Honors Society and was awarded the Johansen Scholarship Award. She also served as the Community Service Chair and Public Relations Representative for the Student Research Group.
Dr. OBrien completed an externship at the Community Health Center of Cape Cod where she provided dental care to under-served patients. After dental school, she continued her education by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program through NYU Lutheran Medical Center. She provided dental care to patients at the Charles River Community Health Center in Brighton.
Dr. O'Brien enjoys running, spending time with her family and friends, traveling, skiing, and photography. She brings her passion for dentistry and organizational skills to the practice and looks forward to serving the community in which she was raised.
Dr. Idrizi graduated with High Honors from Boston University Dental School. She has been practicing in all aspects of dentistry in the Metro Boston area for over ten years. Dr. Idrizi has recently made Plymouth her home and is excited to join the family.
