He then went on to complete a one year General Practice Residency at New York Hospital of Queens in Flushing, New York where he gained knowledge and skills in restorative dental and implant dentistry. From there Dr. Shanin went on to earn his certificate in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery from Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center an affiliate of Weill Cornell Medical College, where he also served as chief resident. While at Lincoln his training consisted of the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery including Orthognathic surgery, Facial trauma, Dental alveolar surgery, pathology and reconstruction, management of Temporomandibular Joint disorders, Wisdom tooth extraction, Bone grafting and Implant surgery. It is here that he also received his anesthesia and IV sedation training as well.
Dr. Shanin now practices full scope Oral & Maxillofacial surgery with a focus on dental-alveolar, wisdom teeth and implant surgery. He is recognized by his colleagues and patients for providing a high level of care with a unique sense of compassion. He currently resides in Long Island with his wife and four children.
