Dr. Shany Park received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Harvard University with honors. After graduation, she pursued specialized postdoctoral training and received a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Columbia University. She believes in continuing her education and keeps up with current advancement in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. She is currently teaching at Columbia University as an Assistant Clinical Professor, and at Northwell Medical Center as an attending.
Dr. Park is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, Harvard Society for Advancement of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association and the Nassau County Dental Society.
Dr. Park is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an honor earned by less than a third of practicing orthodontists. This status is achieved only after the successful completion of a clinical examination, after attaining a board eligible status. ABO Board Certification is a voluntary credential that represents an orthodontists personal and public commitment to the standards of specialty practice and lifelong learning.
Nicoles journey at NYBraces started when she was 16! Nicoles hard work has made her our office manager. Not only does she manage the office, she also is our treatment/financial coordinator. Talk about a triple threat!! Nicole graduated from SUNY Old Westbury with a bachelors in business administration. When shes not in the office, you can find her at our nearest taco bell.
Dennise started working for Dr. Park in 2020 and is currently a senior in high school. She is planning to attend Queens College in the fall. In the time she has been working here, shes been helping her coworkers around the clock with a variety of jobs. When shes not at work, youll find her at the tennis court!
For the past two years, she worked as a patient care coordinator. She is currently in her second year, studying at SUNY Farmingdale to become a dental hygienist. She likes to go to the city and try new restaurants and her favorite pastime is going go-karting with her sister. She is always laughing and keeps a positive vibe in our office. If you cant find her here, she is probably in line at the local Starbucks.
Amber is no stranger to the orthodontic world. Her mother worked here for over 20 years and she now upholds her legacy. She graduated from The University of Brockport with a double Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration and Marketing. She started in our office as our Patient Care Coordinator and recently got her dental assisting certification at NCC. She is definitely the energy of the office! When shes not at work, you can find her at the beach with her dog Nala.
Keyris started working for Dr. Park back in 2016 and she is the glue that holds our lab together, or maybe thats her hair. She loves interacting with our patients and seeing their smiles transform! She is currently in school to become a Surgical Technician. You can catch her singing and dancing throughout the office with an iced coffee in hand.

This is a worse experience! My son went to an appointment and been waiting for another hour without taking care of. The patients who came late all done but my son. After an hour, all patients gone, and what they told is still busy. This is very unprofessional and feel like they do not care about their patient at all. Hope this not happening again!

Dr. Park is great. She's patient and very thorough. The staff is so nice and they follow up. Office is extremely clean. My kids aren't afraid to go there, that's a bonus!! :)

The appointments are very seemless and efficient. In and out, very fast. Also, the staff and Dr. Shany are very friendly and nice. They accept insurance but just check your coverage before going.

It's always been a great experience going to Dr. Park's appointment. The office is very clean. No long wait time. I've always been seen on time for my appointments. The entire team is friendly and efficient, from the front desk, to the technician, and certainly highly skilled and experienced Dr. Park. Strongly recommended.

I never thought we would have a dental emergency. My 11-year-old boy snapped his dental space maintainer after a hockey game. He couldn't close his mouse, worrying the wire would pierce his tongue. Before heading to the nearby ER, I tried Dr. Park's number with a slim hope that someone might be available. After all, it was past 9 pm. Surprisingly, Dr. Park picked up the call immediately and arranged a quick visit to her clinic. I never felt such a relief when I saw her warm smile. She quickly removed the broken space maintainer, and we left her clinic at around 10 pm. I always knew I can trust Dr. Park, with her professional knowledge, expertise, and skills. But last night's experience added another layer of trust to her. It is a mother's trust in another mother. I know we made the right decision in choosing Dr. Park.

Dr. Park is SO KIND, and was very informative regarding my treatment plan. The front desk let me know during the consultation what my insurance would cover and how much the cost would be. I am currently 2 months into treatment with Invisalign and I couldn't be happier with how they are looking. The staff is amazing and whenever I come in for an appointment there isn't a wait time! I would highly recommend Dr. Park.

One of the worst orthodontists in NY. Dr. Shany Park is NOT a good orthodontist and doesn't care about her patients. She's arrogant, snotty, extremely incompetent, deceitful, does NOT communicate well with patients or their families or referring physicians. After brace treatment from Dr. Shany Park, the teeth were not well aligned. She raked in thousands of dollars but refused to fix the problem even after missing many months of treatment. Dr. Shany Park is money hungry and greedy, low ethical standards.

Great experience as a first timer. I barely waited to be helped when I checked in. The staff and Dr. Shany Park were all very friendly and helpful. I especially loved how Dr. Park really took her time to explain my son's conditions with me as well as the treatment options. I had a great visit and the doctor's demeanor has really put me at ease so I highly recommend this clinic.
