Dr. Wallach completed his dental education at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. He furthered his education with a General Practice Residency at Stony Brook University Hospital where he received extensive training in implant and cosmetic dentistry, as well as complex restorative dental care. Dr. Wallach incorporates his experience in providing comprehensive care with his minimally invasive approach and gentle touch.
Dr. Wallach devotes several hours each month to continuing education to ensure his patients are receiving the best possible care available. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the New York State Dental Association, the 9th District Dental Society, Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry where he is currently pursuing his fellowship.

Dr. Wallach uses digital dental x-rays to capture precise images of the teeth, bones, and joints. Dental x-rays are a very important tool that Dr. Wallach uses to diagnose a patients dental condition. In addition, dental x-rays can help Dr. Wallach

This cutting edge technology utilizes a wand with a tiny camera that takes hundreds of pictures in seconds to capture accurate details in your mouth. This means no more gagging on messy impression material or waiting for materials to set in your mouth. Dr. Wallach will take a simple comfortable digital scan of your mouth in minutes. This information can be instantly shared with labs to create precise fitting crowns, night guards, retainers and many other appliances. Patients with fear of impressions or gag reflexes no longer have to worry about a trip to the dentist.
The IntraOral Camera is one of the leading technologies in modern dentistry. A tiny video camera on a wand-like probe moves comfortably inside the mouth around the teeth and gums to easily and accurately identify problems in their earliest stages.
The images captured from the IntraOral Camera are magnified and displayed instantly on a computer screen. Both the dentist and patient can see the images, allowing an open discussion about the issues and best ways to treat them. With the IntraOral Camera, it is easy to recognize potential problems in very early stages that might be missed during a traditional visual examination.
As with the digital dental x-rays, a patients progress can easily be tracked and recorded using the IntraOral Camera. Before and after pictures can be easily taken and stored in the patients digital health record.
Dr. Wallach is among a small percentage of dentists in the New York region to offer laser dentistry. Laser dentistry offers a number of benefits for patients, including precise treatment, increased comfort and reduced recovery time. Laser dentistry has a number of advantages compared to traditional surgical techniques, including the primary benefit of reduced trauma. Laser dentistry procedures result in less bleeding and swelling, improving patient comfort during and after treatment.
Tooth cavities are easiest to treat when they are caught early. Dr. Wallach uses a powerful diagnostic tool called Diagnodent for early detection of tooth decay. Diagnodent uses laser technology to find decay hidden in cracks and crevices of teeth that would otherwise go undetected.
Micro-abrasion is a newer technique in dentistry that allows Dr. Wallach to prepare teeth in a much more conservative manner than is possible with traditional dental tools. Using a fine abrasive spray, Dr. Wallach can remove tooth decay, tooth discoloration and prepare teeth for dental restorations like veneers or crowns. Micro-abrasion delivers great results for patients who have stained teeth, brown spots or white spots on teeth that are otherwise unresponsive to teeth bleaching.

Dr. Wallach is amazing and so is his staff. I called with a toothache and his staff squeezed me in right away. I'm so afraid of the dentist, but Dr. Wallach makes the experience enjoyable. He tells you what he's going to do before he does it and is very patient. I can't say enough good things. I highly recommend him.

Having lost two well respected - and very careful/gentle dentists - over the past decade, I was searching for a similar professional approach to dental care. Dr Wallach has shown the same care as the late Dr. Ira List, and the knowledge of current advancements in dental technology as Dr. Robert Tracey demonstrated (may they both rest in peace). Recently, Dr. Wallach tackled a difficult repair for me that I believe not many dentists could have handled so well - and pain free! After debating whether to change dentists for over a year, I made the choice to go with Dr. Jacob Wallach in June of 2018. At the time, I knew that I needed to have two teeth extracted, and if at all possible, replaced with dental implants. My former dentist did not have digital X-ray exams or other advanced diagnostic equipment that I thought that I needed, given my more advanced dental care needs. Not only did Dr. Wallach have these services, but, to my pleasant surprise, he was also able to perform my dental implants! This eliminated the need for me to be sent to an oral surgeon. An added priceless bonus with Dr. Wallach is his uncompromising gentle caring personality and chair-side manner. Right from the very beginning of my treatment, he made me feel totally comfortable with absolutely NO anxiety or discomfort. He takes the time to not only fully explain everything that he will be doing, and then makes sure that I am fully comfortable at all times during the procedure. His two dental hygienists also follow his same dedicated level of care and compassion. Now, a year later, my dental implants are complete, and I am proud to say that, for the first time in several years, I can enjoy eating all of my favorite foods once again. All of this without even having to visit a separate oral surgeon!

Dr. Wallach and his staff are incredibly kind and welcoming and go the extra mile to make their patients comfortable. Hygienists Jill and Kristine are personable, very gentle and very thorough. I recently needed my first ever cavity filled(yes I am an adult) and was anxious about it. Dr. Wallach put my fears at ease and even let me use a pair of headphones to listen to music so I didn't have to hear the drilling(again, yes I am an adult). After having not been to a dentist for about ten years I chose this practice based on a recommendation and I could not be happier with my choice. I would be more than willing to send any of my friends or family to see Dr. Wallach and his team.

I needed emergency care and I was able to make an appointment with Dr. Wallach for a few hours later. The office is bright, clean and cheery. The staff is friendly and accommodating and Dr. Wallach is amazing. From the first needle to start the numbing process, to the extraction of my tooth I felt nothing, and I'm a big baby when it comes to the dentist. I highly recommend him to everyone who wants a pain free experience, and a dentist with a pleasant bedside manner. Will definitely be using him from now on!

I am tremendously grateful to Dr. Wallach and his staff and highly recommend this professional and compassionate team of caregivers. I am from California and was staying at my friends' house in Nyack (while they were traveling) when a dental emergency occurred. One of my molars had cracked and crumbled and I spent a terrible night in pain, so I was relieved to be seen right away. Every aspect of the experience inspired confidence. The receptionist and hygienist welcomed me warmly and both took great care of me. Dr. Wallach's calm and friendly demeanor helped me relax. He explained everything clearly, made sure that the anesthetic was fully functioning to minimize my discomfort, and made sure I was OK throughout. That evening he called me to ask how I was feeling and I was happy to report that I was doing great! I received the same, professional and kind attention from everyone when I returned for a followup. I cannot thank them enough!
