I have been going to Dr. Armenti for approximately 10 years and I will continue since I have always received excellent, professional care.

I have been going to Dr. Armenti for 4 years now. I have always had an enjoyable experience up until yesterday. Appointments are booked 6 months in advance just like any other dentist and you receive a reminder in the mail. I have also recieved automated text to confirm my appointment, that I reply to more often than not. I have never been late or missed an appointment. My appointments are booked Saturdays to assure punctuality. I received a voicemail on Thursday asking me to call the office If I was unable to make my appointment. It also stated ways I could reply but if I was unable come please call otherwise they would see me Saturday. I didn't noticed the message until Friday around 2pm. I called the office to confirm and was met with a recording saying the office was closed and would re open on Saturday. At this time I wasn't too concerned, because the message seem to be a courtesy call to confirm and I had never been met with any issues thus far. For context purposes I work in an operating room where you are not allowed to answer your phone and it must be on silent or vibrate for obvious reasons. Which results in an accumulation of messages that unfortunately I don't always get to. I also have a small child that requires special care. Hence the reason I responded a day late. I arrived at my appointment early. Per C19 regulation, you are to call from the parking lot to alert receptionist. I called 3 times and no answer. I went back to check if I dialed incorrectly and I found yet another voicemail left after 4pm by Dr. Armenti himself. The message stated that if I did not return this call, my appointment would be given away as there were people who wanted it and that they only go on confirmed appointments only. This was wierd because the office was closed! So I would have never expected a call back. I checked my missed calls and for some reason this call went straight to voicemail per my phone. I was taken aback. I had never received a message like this or heard of this policy before. I approached the door and waited in the vestibule The receptionist opened the door and said my name in the form of a question. I said yes? She said sorry we gave your appointment to someone else, the doctor has been calling you all week. In which I replied Thursday and Friday? I explained my occupation is why I can't always get to my phone or return messages. I explained that this has never happened since my coming here and that I never heard of this policy. She was very much apologetic but provided no valid explanation. She asked if I wanted to come in and reschedule( we were speaking through a cracked door) which I replied no. She asked what would be a better way to reach you next time? I was in a state of confusion and in disbelief. I replied, maybe email? I totally forgot that they usually text me, which I did not receive. I no longer felt like a valued patient/customer. I felt like I was being punished and shooed away for breaking a policy I new nothing about. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this dentist office. You would think a customer of 4 years with a perfect attendance would have been treated better.

Dr. Armenti has absolutely no patience for children. My daughter has a lose tooth and she was crying and screaming because she was scared. Instead of trying to deal with her he stormed out of the room and seemed very upset and just left us there with no explanation. She wasn't kicking or fighting just a scared little girl. Very unprofessional and can't deal with scared children. I'm definitely finding another dentist.
