My husband and I went to see Dr. Hurst before moving to Cache Valley. Initially my husband was impressed by his thoroughness so he made me an appointment as well. Both of us at the time had zero tooth pain or other issues, but after seeing him he told us we had cavities that needed filing. He even told my husband that because he used to grind his teeth, that he needed to have every tooth filled at the bottom of each tooth. He trusted his opinion on the matter and was in the process of considering it, until after I went in and had a couple teeth filled. The upcoming weekend I was in massive pain over one of the teeth I had just had filled. I ended up having to run into Logan to have him look at it. He said it would now need a root canal. I went ahead and had him fix my tooth. After talking things over we decided to get a second opinion. In doing this we found out that none of the work he had done or was wanting to do had been necessary. He ended up costing us $3,000 in unnecessary dental costs. We also found out that at the time his brother built all his crowns, which made us wonder about his ethics. If you decide to trust this guy I would HIGHLY recommend at least getting a second opinion.

I asked the dr to work within the limits of my insurance so that I would not have a big bill and have had a big bill twice. I would not recommend dr Hirst for dental work. I am now looking for a honest dentist if anyone has any suggestions.

Dr Hurst and his nursing assistans are first class. I had an extraction today together with a bone graft. Not exactly pleasant but not painful. The anesthetic is wearing off but no real pain. Same experience when I had a couple of wisdom tooth out. Plus, I have never had problems with any procedures after the fact. Nice, low key down-to-earth but highly intelligent guy, as are his staff. Highly recommend.

This place is very clean and neat.Dr. Is very nice , he explains everything he has to do to fix your teeth then it's up to you.Dr Hurst is the best dentist I've ever had

Dr.Hurst is awesome! I hate going to the dentist but Dr. Hurst and his staff make it a lot less painful! They do a wonderful job of explaining treatment and creating a priority list. Seriously great place to get dental work done.

The cleaning lady is extremely knowledgeable and professional. With my current gum disease, she did a superb job. She earned 6 stars.

I obviously don't love getting work done on my teeth in a dentist office. In a perfect world, I wouldn't need to but this is as close to perfect as you can get for a dental office. Dr Hurst, his friendly, knowledgeable and sometimes down right funny staff are number one!! I absolutely love their work and their commitment to excellence. You will definitely not be disappointed using NuSmyle Dental. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend.

Dr. Hurst is the gold standard for dentistry. He is incredibly skilled, highly experienced, and continually advances his methods through new technologies. He is a perfectionist in cosmetic work and oral health. My wife and I are both fans of his work. For me personally, he has saved me grief by being proactive and preventing problems before they get bad (and more expensive). I trust his judgement completely. Dr. Hurst's demeanor and good humor make the dentist experience more tolerable.

I have been in too many dental clinics in logan, Utah. I was lucky at the end to find Dr Hurst. I found in him a top of line dentist and brother. I left logan to retire outside knowing that I am losing the only dentist who really felt my pain and need and found a challenge in every tooth he fixed for me. I don't think I would be lucky again to find any dentist like him who has the highest work ethic in logan or any place else. By moving out of the city of logan, I didn't only lose the greatest and best dentist, but also a brother, unfortunately.

I have been going to Dr. Hurst for over 20 years now. When I became a patient, my teeth were a mess and because of that, I really did not like going to the dentist. He worked me through my fears, and over several years worked through all the problems I had. I am grateful for his effort working with me and improving my teeth over the years. Even after moving from Cache Valley, I would rather drive for an hour one-way than look for a new dentist.

During a check-up, I was told that I had 8 cavities, due to financial reasons, I got 6 of them filled and Dr. Hurst told me I needed a root canal while filling one of them. I believed him even though that tooth wasn't causing me pain or anything. Since then, I had a few other dentists and none of them said I had problems with the two remaining teeth. This makes me question if the other teeth actually needed filling and root canal. The work itself was fine but I would recommend that you at least get a second opinion before you get any dental work done there.

Dr. Hurst and his staff are so professional and kind! They provide the best quality care and make sure all of my questions are answered before I walk out the door. Dr. Hurst has great bedside manner and talks you through every step of your procedure so you always feel educated. He is transparent about what he sees on his x-rays and talks you through what your options are in terms of next steps/treatment, helping you to make an informed decision. This practice is very patient-centered and I highly recommend it!

Dr. Hurst is the very best dentist my husband and I have ever had. After moving away from Logan, we continue to travel 100 miles in each direction just to have him do our dental work. He is very knowledgeable in current technologies antiques care to be precise and all that he does. We are very happy with him.
