My journey into Orthodontics started at Duke University, where I studied Biomedical Engineering. I was always drawn to healthcare and found Orthodontics to be t he perfect balance in that I could care for patients while using engineering principles to create great smiles. After finishing dental school at the University of Maryland and Orthodontic residency at the prestigious Mayo Clinic, where only one resident is accepted per year, I am very happy to come home and practice in Maryland.
When Im not fixing smiles, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, traveling, and trying new things and foods. In the past few years, Ive ran a marathon and several half marathons, climbed two mountains in the Pacific Northwest, experienced farm life and farm work, and traveled to numerous countries in Europe, South America, and Asia! I am all ears if you have restaurant suggestions and Id love to hear about your trips as well!

We have had a wonderful experience with Nusmiles. 20 months and perfect teeth. The staff is kind and helpful. Dr. Wu is patient and informative. We will be going back in a couple years when the next child is ready.

NuSmiles is a great place because the staff are well managed, awesome, and kind. Dr. Wu took care of my teeth and was the best (and only) orthodontist I have had. Dr. Wu took the time to start conversations when getting started, and stayed a bit after to answer any questions. I would recommend NuSmiles Orthodontics to everyone.

NuSmiles is a well-managed, clean, and pleasant orthodontics office. Dr. Wu maintained excellent service during the pandemic and his staff and assistants are knowledgeable, competent, and have good demeanor. I have two kids going through Dr. Wu's care. We've been 100% satisfied with NuSmiles and would recommend it to anyone. It is hard to imagine a better orthodontic clinic!

My two kids got braces and they did an excellent job. One thing I like most is they do not waste any time, just work and work. I recommend them to everyone. A+++++++++.

Absolute 5 star experience. The quality of work, friendly staff, responsive. The before and after pics of my son's teeth are unbelievable. Dr Wu was fantastic! I don't think we have ever waited more than a couple minutes in the waiting room!

The absolute best orthodontist I know!! Dr. Wu is so incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, kind, the best chair side manner and such talent with teeth. Along with being a great doctor, he has an amazing staff!!

I heard about this office from Vanessa, whose husband is in the military. She and Dr. Wu were super accommodating for our military family moving in and coming in with braces. Dr. Wu changed up a few things and now my son's smile is looking so beautiful!!! Couldn't be happier! Only a few more visits and we are all set! Thank you Vanessa and Dr. Wu for finishing my son's treatment!! Update: My son's treatment with Dr. Wu was amazing! Now starting my daughter!

Dr. Wu and his staff at NuSmiles are amazing! Everyone is so nice and professional, and Dr. Wu is really good about spending time with his clients to explain things. We are so impressed with the way our son's teeth turned out after his orthodontic work was complete! Never expected them to look this good; totally above our expectation and so happy!

I can't say enough about how awesome NuSmiles and Dr. Wu are. I'm an older patient who never had braces before -- and never had children who needed braces either -- and everyone was super nice and helpful. My issues were fixed even to a greater extent than expected, and I'm very happy!

My son's whole experience for the past 10 months of being under Dr. Wu and his staff care has been amazing. Watching my son's whole mouth change after every visit was incredible. They did a perfect job and now with his braces off the results are more than we ever imagined. My son's teeth look so beautiful. They made my son's experience with braces so nice and they have all been so friendly and supportive. We appreciate them very very much!!!

My son needed braces and we were very careful about finding the right orthodontist. Dr. Wu graduated from the Mayo Clinic, which made us want to try his office. We had a very good experience overall, his staff was very professional and he clearly knows his stuff. I only have one kid, but I would be a repeat customer if I had another and they needed braces.

Dr. Wu is an excellent orthodontist. Staff are friendly and patient with kids. First child had excellent results. Second child just started having braces there. Both of them love Dr. Wu and his assistants.
