Dr. Nuger, Dr. Sircus, Dr. Sinada, Dr. Hoang and their staff work closely together as a team. Dr. Nuger has been practicing family and cosmetic dentistry for over 32 years. He graduated college in 1975, with a degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Then continued his education at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry and completed his DDS degree in 1979. After graduating dental school, Dr. Nuger started practicing dentistry in Glen Burnie, Maryland. In 2002, along with Dr. Sircus, the Columbia office was opened. For many years Dr. Nuger was the staff dentist for Maryland Manor Nursing Home in Glen Burnie. Today several nursing centers still transport patients to be seen in the Glen Burnie office.

Dr. Nuger is comfortable providing a wide range of dental services for children, adults, and the elderly. He is happy to provide services for patients with complicated medical histories and if necessary will discuss the recommended treatment with your physician. Dr. Nuger is very patient and at ease during your treatment. He is committed to providing various phases of general dentistry to patients of all ages, with a smile and warm personality. Dr. Nuger takes great pride in the number of patients and their families he has continued to treat for over twenty five years. To him, the long lasting relationships he is able to develop along with providing optimal care to his patients in a warm friendly environment, are the most rewarding parts of his dental practice.

Annually, Dr. Nuger attends continuing education courses that enable him to stay at the forefront of general dentistry. This allows him to offer his patients the finest care and the most current treatment options available. He enjoys advanced courses in implant dentistry, root canal therapy, oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and occlusion (your bite).

Dr. Nuger has been a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Maryland State Dental Association (MSDA), and the Anne Arundel County Dental Society (AACDS) throughout his professional career. He has served AACDS as president, treasurer, program chairman, peer review chairman, and delegate to the MSDA. He has spent nine years on the MSDAs board of trustees, including being the state dental associations president in 2008/2009. Dr. Nuger currently chairs or serves on other state committees such as continuing education, legislative, access to care, and Chesapeake Dental Conference. On a national level Dr. Nuger represents Maryland as a delegate to the ADA and is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists.

Dr. Nuger continues to use his professional skills in the community. He works with Maryland Mission of Mercy and the Maryland Dental Action Coalition. In the office he treats patients through Anne Arundel Countys Gray Area Program and the Maryland Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped.

Dr. Nuger resides in Ellicott City and enjoys activities such as tennis, skiing and bike riding. He also enjoys, along with his family, following the Orioles, Ravens and Terps. His daughter Caitlyn is a dental student in Maryland and finishes her dental degree in May 2013. She plans to continue with a specialty degree in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Nugers son is a senior at Mt. Hebron High School and will graduate in May 2012. He looks forward to college with interests in history, government, psychology, music and tennis. His wife Ann is a dental hygienist working part time in pediatric dentistry. They enjoy spending free time with their family and friends.

Dr. Sircus has been practicing family and cosmetic dentistry for over twelve years. He graduated college in 1996, with a degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park. His Doctor of Dental Surgery degree was completed in 2000 at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry. Dr. Sircus joined Dr. Nuger at the Glen Burnie office in December, 2000. He and Dr. Nuger quickly realized their associateship was an excellent match for forming a partnership, and in 2002, they opened a second office in Columbia.

Dr. Sircus is happy to offer the necessary treatment plans for all his patients: children, adults, and the elderly. These treatment plans are suited to meet individual health care needs. He is meticulous, knowledgeable, and always concerned with your comfort during the dental procedure. Dr. Sircus has a friendly demeanor and enjoys dentistry. He is careful to pay attention to every detail during treatment.

Continuing his education is important and enjoyable for Dr. Sircus. He has advanced training in dental implantology. Graduating from the Columbia University Implantology Continuum, he has continued his training to become a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. The dental implant can be used as single crowns, anchors for bridges, and strong support and retention under dentures. He has participated in multiple study clubs, currently participating in the Progressive Dental Study Club. He stays current with his continuing education requirements. He especially enjoys courses in implants, cosmetic and restorative dentistry.

Dr. Sircus enjoys contributing to our local community as well as traveling abroad to help others throughout the world. This December will be his fifth trip abroad serving in third world countries. He will be part of a full medical mission team to treat medically unreached people for a week. Dr. Sircus enjoys the challenge of being able to provide emergency and preventative dental treatment for these people.

He has been involved in organized dentistry since his graduation from dental school. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Howard County Dental Association. He has also served on the New Dentist Committee for the MSDA. Dr. Sircus is also a member of the Maryland Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped, and is happy to donate treatment for these patients as well.

Dr. Sircus resides in Elkridge with his wife and three children. His wife, Janine, works as a temporary Dental Hygienist in the Howard County area. He and his wife are very active at Grace Community Church in Howard County. Dr. Sircus also enjoys participating in an indoor soccer league every weekend. Together they enjoy spending time with their family and friends.

Dr. Ghassan Sinada, has been working as our associate since the fall of 2010. He graduated from the University of Maryland, Dental School in 2001 and completed a general practice residency at the Baltimore VA Medical Center in 2002. Dr. Sinada continued his postgraduate education with a specialty certificate in Combined Prosthodontics, from the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas. This program was completed in 2005 and then in 2006 he completed a fellowship in Dental Oncology and Maxillofacial Prosthetics at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He is the former program director for the General Practice Residency at the Johns Hopkins University Hospital.

Currently he shares his time between our Columbia office and his private practice in prosthodontics and maxillofacial prosthetics at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Towson, MD. He also serves as Maxillofacial Prosthodontist for the Milton J. Dance head and Neck Cancer Center. As a prosthodontist in our office he is treating or performing implant surgery and restorations, complex crown and bridge rehabilitation, full and partial removable dentures, oral surgery, TMJ and sleep apnea appliances and fabrication of appliances to replace missing oral or facial tissues due to surgical removal as a result of trauma or cancer. Dr. Sinada brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and we are fortunate to have his services one to two days a week depending on his schedule and caseload.

Dr. Christine Hoang is originally from Baltimore, Maryland. She attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County as a Deans Scholar and received her Bachelors in Biological Sciences. She continued her education at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where she pursued her interests and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. During her time at Maryland she was able to serve as a pediatric clerk for two year. After finishing dental school, she completed a general practice residency in York, Pennsylvania which has provided her with additional training in all aspects of dentistry, including oral surgery, restorative, cosmetic dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and emergency treatment.

Dr. Hoang has had the pleasure to serve in many charitable events allowing her to serve and give back to the community. Some of these include Mission of Mercy, Helping Up Mission, and Special Olympics. Dr. Hoang is committed to providing excellent dental care and is looking forward to using her skills to serve our community.

I joined Dr. Nuger in 1994 as the office manager. Starting as an is x-ray certified and a licensed qualified dental assistant I have a vast knowledge of all aspects of the dental field. For the past 20 years I have had the role of office manager in charge of the day to day operations of the practice.

Jennifer I received my Bachelors degree in dental hygiene from the University of Maryland in May 2007 and started working for Drs. Nuger and Sircus in August of that same year. I love working with our patients and look forward to developing friendships with each one. As a hygienist, my goal is making sure our patients achieve optimal oral health through regular dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, as well as education on oral health and home care. My husbands name is Jon, and we have five wonderful children. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, photography and spending time with my family!

Catrina I have been practicing Dental Hygiene since 2000. I absolutely love what I do. Some of the treatments includes: prophylaxis, scalings, debridements, and perio maintenance to give my patients a great pearly smile. Im an advocate for educating my patients about the importance of proper oral healthcare and effective home care. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, especially my nine year old son, mountain bike riding, dancing, and sometime just a quiet evening reading and doing puzzles.

Kim As a graduate of West Liberty State University in 1991, I have truly enjoyed my career of dental hygiene. I joined Drs. Nuger and Sircus four years ago and love getting to know our patients and treating them with TLC. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, friends, and two spoiled yorkies.

Jodi I have had the pleasure of working with Drs. Nuger and Sircus as an expanded functions dental assistant since 2013. I have been in the field for quite some time. I enjoy spending time and talking to all of our patients, existing and new, making everyone feel as comfortable as possible and putting them at ease. Besides spending my days at Maryland Family Dentistry, I have a lovely daughter and husband that I enjoy spending time with.

Jordyn As our offices floating dental assistant, I have a wide range of duties. You can find me anywhere from assisting the doctors chairside, working hands on in our lab, or answering calls and helping patients at the front desk. In my spare time, I enjoy being outside with family and friends.

Lisa I joined Drs. Nuger and Sircus in October 2003, since then I have seen many great changes and additions to our office and staff. Assisting the doctors to serve our patients with a variety of restorative and cosmetic procedures continues to be a career I am proud of. When not in the office (or commuting to and from) I can be found enjoying time with my family and friends. My husband, daughter and I love serving with our church, playing soccer together, and traveling.
