Dr. Bob Nudera grew up in Aurora and attended high school at Marmion Academy. His formal education began atCreighton Universityin Omaha, NE for his undergraduate degree. He continued on to theUniversity of Illinois Chicagofor his dental training, earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Nudera completed his General Practice Residency atLoyola University Medical Centerin Maywood, IL before returning to the University of Illinois Chicago for his orthodontic training and Master of Science degree. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Nudera is involved in various continuing education programs, ranging from Damon and Invisalign programs to AAO lectures and local dental study clubs. His many hours of continuing education keeps him up-to-date with the most current treatment techniques, modalities, and technologies in the fields of not only orthodontics but also in dentistry as a whole.
Dr. Nudera currently lives in Northbrook, IL with his wife, Lina, and their two sons; R.J. and Luke. When hes not at work, Dr. Nudera enjoys spending as much time with his family as possible, especially doing outdoor activities such as running, biking, and skiing. In the evenings, he can also be found lost in a good book.
Dr. Jim Nudera grew up in Aurora and attended high school at Marmion Academy. His formal education began at theUniversity of Illinois Champaign-Urbanawhere he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He continued on to dental school, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Dentistry from theUniversity of Illinois Chicago, as well as his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. While still at the University of Illinois Chicago, Dr. Nudera completed his orthodontic training and Masters degree in Oral Science. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
In order to stay up-to-date on current techniques and be aware of future advances in both product development and future orthodontic techniques, Dr. Nudera continues his education through courses in Invisalign and the Damon System, as well as through participation in local study clubs. This gives him the opportunity to collaborate on current cases and future treatments in all facets of the dental and orthodontic fields.
Dr. Nudera currently resides in St. Charles, about five minutes from our South Elgin office location, with his wife, Kim, and two daughters, Kaitlyn and Kelsey. His leisure time is spent with his family, though he does enjoy a round or two of golf!

I had a last minute emergency, my bottom permanent retainer popped off and they were able to squeeze me in quickly. Everyone was very friendly from the minute I walked in, and they had me fixed up in less than half an hour even though they were busy. I cannot express enough my appreciation for the quality work and frankly wonderful staff. Thank you!

I just had my first appointment for invisilign and couldn't be more excited to start. They are very organized, efficient, and answered all of my questions with patience. After seeing the office, getting my scans and xrays, meeting the orthodontist and care team, I am looking forward to enjoying an excellent outcome.

We were recently referred by our family dentist for needed orthodontic work. We had heard great reviews and were excited to start treatment after a quote/recommendation was given to us. I was extremely disappointed that upon trying to schedule the start of the process the office decided that they would no longer be able to to provide the work proposed by them. I would highly recommend people to think twice about working with this practice as they have highly questionable business practices and do not follow through on quotes provided.

We are new to the area and are continuing care from a previous orthodontist. I have always been warned about the difficulty in transferring care between providers but Dr. Nudera and his staff have made everything easy, no stress at all. I have enjoyed the friendliness of the office staff and the ease and availability when scheduling appointments so far. The office is clean and well staffed. The rewards program earning gift cards they offer is a fun incentive for my daughter to participate in. We look forward continuing our care here.

I gave Nudera Orthodontics 5 stars because the staff is great, and in the month and a half I've been here, I can already see a positive difference in my teeth. I really like their point system because it encourages patients to be more attentive of their oral hygiene. I highly recommend them.

Dr. Jim and Dr. Bob did an amazing job on our son's teeth! The difference between when he started treatment and the end result is night and day. All the staff in the office and technicians are so friendly and helpful. Even scheduling appointments during a pandemic was easy. Thank you to the whole Nudera Orthodontics team!!

Wonderful office! Love Dr.Bob and the Assistants. The girls upfront are nice most of the time. Just one in particular that was rude a few times with her demeanor in the past. They can be somewhat helpful but definitely not one hundred percent helpful. But that's ok. Just need a little work up front! Overall, it's a wonderful office with a great atmosphere! =)
