Dr. Gottam earned her dental degree with honors from New York University College of Dentistry in New York City, where she also received honors in endodontics. She continues to strengthen her skills and provide her patients with state-of-the-art care by attending continuing education seminars and advanced courses, where she stays abreast of the latest trends and technologies in her field.
Dr. Gottam moved to Texas in 2008, where she initially worked for another private practice before opening NRH Family Dentistry in 2012. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of General Practitioner Orthodontics, and the Implant Continuum, and was honored with a Top Dentist award in 2019.
In her practice at NRH Family Dentistry, Dr. Gottam strives to provide patients of all ages with a comfortable and convenient setting in which she can deliver the highest quality of comprehensive dental care. She is passionate about educating her patients and treating them like collaborators. She believes that informed patients are better equipped to make decisions about their overall health and that they become more invested in their well-being if they feel empowered.

Visiting Dr. Suguna Gottam and her entire staff was a perfect example of 'being treated by others just the way you want to be treated!' The professionalism to the authentic empathy shown by each team member was invigorating! It was a true deliverance of high quality healthcare by genuinely loving human beings. From within my first few moments of arrival, I experienced much attentiveness by lifting spirits displayed by the front office team (Natalie & Vanessa). After glimpsing an interesting animal documentary on the TV screen in the clean and nicely decorated waiting room, I was met by an exceptionally charming hygienist (Zoe), which was soon followed by Dr. Gottam, an extremely gracious and knowledgeable doctor. All of this combined, along with modern tech robot 'Tim', laid a solid foundation for a precious encounter! My visit was to prepare for an upcoming major surgery, as I needed to ensure my oral health was satisfactory. Alarming as it was to find out an area needed further evaluation, the establishment of the interpersonal relationships made brought a tremendous ease within. This is a value that words can't even express! I am so very thankful and excited for my husband to experience as well!

My favorite dentist in decades! I needed a 2nd opinion, Dr Gottham agreed. I never told her what had been recommended. She did her own ex rays and exam. Her results differed slightly, but enough to the better side that I liked her more conservative approch, savimg more teeth or being less drastic, lets say. I felt like she listened to my input and we agreed on a plan. It took about 5 or 6 appointments I'd say, so it was a lot of work... But i felt good about the quality of thier work. She is very down to earth and easy to talk to. She is very prompt to call you from the waiting room... All hygienists are awesome too. They are very thorough, clean and friendly. Best ever, always recommend highly.

Please make sure you are in network because they will not tell you up front. Unfortunately I figured this out after my cleaning and going over the treatment plan. The quoted price was almost 5 times more expensive than in network!

My wife and I visited NRH Family Dentistry for our initial appointment last week. Found the staff professional and friendly. My interaction with Dr Gottam was very positive. She carefully explained to me what the X-ray examination revealed and clearly identified what needs to be done. She was professional, knowledgeable and thorough. She answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. Very importantly, the practice has taken the necessary steps to protect their patients during the current COVID pandemic. The staff at the reception wear masks and are behind a plexiglass barrier. Everyone is vaccinated. This responsible behavior is in sharp contrast to what I experienced at my previous dentist in Southlake, where front desk staff are neither vaccinated nor do they wear masks. The rationale that they provided to me was "This is America and the choice is up to the individual on whether they want to wear masks or be vaccinated." I wish I had found Dr. Gottam sooner.
