Dr. Nowacki has been a longtime Newtown/Sandy Hookresident, graduating from Newtown High School in 1986.From an early age, Dr. Nowacki has always had an aptitude for art, winning multiple local and national art competition awards. Although there wasalso an earlyinterest in math and health sciences,David embarked on an undergraduate degree in fine arts,receiving his Bachelors of Fine Arts in graphic design from the University of Connecticut . Duringcollege, David pursuedspecial interests in illustration and sculpture which further developedhis eye for esthetics, ultimately forming the foundation forhis meticulous, creative and technicalskills in dentistry.While pursuing his undergraduate degree,David also worked part time as a freelance artist for a marketing company developing layouts presented to companies such as Hersheys chocolate. He also worked in the construction industry learning all the trades of home building including framing, finished woodworking and masonry. These jobs and hands on training allowed him the opportunity to further his education andformed the framework for a future career which would combineall of his artistic, creative and building skills into the practice of quality dentistry.
Dr. Nowackireceived hisDMD from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1995 where he also received awards in restorative dentistry and radiologic diagnosis. He then completed a one year general practice residency at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford where he receivedthe top resident award. He continues to maintain memberships in the ADA, CSDA, Danbury Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry with a consistent effort to further his education in dentistry through the CSDA package program as well as courses in areas of interest.
Dr. Nowacki moved back to Newtown with his wife andbeginnings of a familyin 1998 to re-establish himself in the community he considers home. He began with the design and construction of their home in Sandy Hook while still working as an associate at dental practices in Simsbury and Plainville. Dr. Nowacki then designed and built the building at 10 Queen Street to house his own dental practice and also the pediatric practice of his wife, Dr. Laura Nowacki,a prominent pediatrician in town since1999.In 2003, Dr. David Nowacki completed the construction and opened the doors of his own family and cosmetic dentistry practice at 10 Queen Street.

Dr. Nowacki and his staff has been so amazing that we actually moved away for 10 years and we drive 1.5 hour one way to come back to them. That's how amazing they are. Professional, great service, most importantly I know we can trust them.

I agree with all the reviews. I have been going to this practice for 10 years. Every thing from cleaning to a crown and today some bonding has been done gently and done well. I feel cared about and my teeth do too. I prefer the personal, family like atmosphere rather than a big practice where you could feel like a numeber or a faceless patient.

I only recently started seeing Dr. Nowacki and in my 22 years living in the area, he has been by far the most attentive and respectful Dentist I have come across. His staff is wonderful and I'm more than pleased and would recommend anyone in search of a great dentist to see him!

I am 43 and I've been going to David Nowacki for 11 years and it took me 10 years prior to that to find a great dentist that cares about his patients and their comfort. Whenever I have questions he takes the time to explain things in detail. He always returns my calls if I have questions or an emergency. I've never liked any of my dentists in the past and going to the dentist was horrible for me until I found David Nowacki, DMD. I've had routine dental cleanings, x-rays, fillings, a root canal and a crown put on and all of it was a wonderful experience. That is a lot coming from someone who used to despise going to the dentist even just for a cleaning. The staff is amazing and caring and overall it is just a wonderful place. I actually enjoy going to the dentist now, I feel like I can just lay back and relax knowing I am in good hands. I highly recommend David Nowacki and staff, especially if you have had bad experiences in the past with other dentists. He is exactly the kind of dentist I was looking for, for many years and I'm glad I found him! David Nowacki is a skilled and compassionate dentist that I think everyone deserves to experience! Thank you David Nowacki & staff for making me love going to the dentist! You have exceeded my expectations and I am very grateful a dentist and staff like you exist!!
