Dr. Alan Barbieri comes to us from a highly successful practice in the Charleston area. With over 30 years of orthodontic experience, Dr. B, as he likes to be called, is a diplomat of the American Board of Orthodonticsa distinction that fewer than 60% of orthodontists in the U.S. have achieved. Dr. B has been board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists.
Novus Orthodontics is proud to announce Dr. Joel Cooper will be joining our practice on January 1, 2021. Dr. Cooper will be taking over the treatment for all of our current patients. Joel Cooper was born and raised in East Tennessee and attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry and the Ohio State University for his professional training. His career has included significant time in academics and private practice, having spent 8 years in full-time education at MUSC and Baylor College of Dentistry and over 18 years of private practice in Nashville and Hilton Head as well as Singapore. He launched the Department of Orthodontics at Cincinnati Children 's Hospital and has been published in numerous journals. He trained as a specialist in both children 's dentistry and orthodontics Dr. Cooper has lectured in the USA, Ireland, Vietnam, Cambodia, and China. He has led numerous dental missions throughout the world including the Philippines, Vietnam, and Costa Rica. But despite his taste for world travel, you will see he is a southern boy at heart and loves interacting with people from all backgrounds, and particularly enjoys getting to know his patients. As he says to us, 'everyone everywhere wants to be proud of their smile, and it is a joy that as a team we can make that happen'. We are excited to introduce you to our newest Novus Orthodontics team member and hope you will enjoy getting to know him too.
Dr. Joseph was born in Charleston and raised in Greeleyville, SC (a town so small that it has no stoplights!). He is a graduate of the Citadel and received his DMD at the Medical University of South Carolina and his Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Rochester in 1982. He has been board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics since 1994 and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Joseph has been in practice since 1982. It has brought him much joy teaching orthodontic concepts to dental residents of Palmetto Richland for 27 years. Dr. Joseph specializes in traditional metal braces, ceramic braces, Invisalign and TMJ therapy.
Dr. Joseph has three adult sons and is married to his wife Janet, who has two daughters. Their children recently blessed them with three grandchildren and two on the way! He loves spending time with his big family, including his ortho staff. Dr. Joseph and his team strive to provide a fun, caring family-like environment with the top priority being giving their patients the best result possible.
Dr. Keith Street has provided high-quality orthodontic care for children and adults in upstate SC since 1990. He received his DMD from MUSC in Charleston. Following dental school, he completed a one-year fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia with a primary focus on advanced restorative techniques in the periodontal-involved patient. Dr. Street then completed a two-year Orthodontic residency program and received his Orthodontic specialty degree at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Street is board eligible with the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Anderson Dental Society.
Dr. Lang Foster graduated with a BS degree from Wofford College in 1990. While at the Medical University of South Carolina, College of Dental Medicine, he received an HPSP scholarship from the United States Navy, and following graduation, entered the Navy and completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. After serving in the Navy for seven years as a general dentist, Dr. Foster was selected for the TriService Orthodontic Residency Program at Wilford Hall Medical Center on Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. There, Dr. Foster earned his certificate in orthodontics in 2004 and served as staff orthodontist at the United States Naval Hospital Yokosuka, Japan from 2004-2007.
Dr. Foster is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists. He enjoys keeping up with current trends and technology in orthodontics and routinely earns more than thirty credit hours of continuing education a year. Dr. Foster calls Anderson, SC home and has had a thriving practice there since 2009.
Dr. Diane Piccioni grew up in upstate New York and moved to South Carolina in the summer of 2018 to begin her orthodontic career. She attended dental school at SUNY at Buffalo and completed her orthodontic training in New York City. Her hospital-based residency program afforded her the opportunity to treat several complex multidisciplinary and orthognathic cases over the course of three years. She focuses on proper diagnosis and meticulous treatment planning prior to beginning treatment in order to achieve the best outcomes possible.
In her spare time, Diane enjoys running, hiking, reading, traveling, and playing guitar. She is an avid sports fan, rooting for the Buffalo Bills, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Syracuse Orange basketball team. While a piece of her heart will always live in NYC, she is excited to make South Carolina her home!

The worst Dentist in the world! Dr. Street has no clue what he is doing, he is the most negative human being and gives off terrible energy. Save your child from going to this practice. He is very creepy!

Street Ortho always done an incredible job. They go above and beyond to make every person feel welcomed and taken care of. The little extra fun promotions (i.e. fill out the crossword and be entered to win a prize) are an awesome plus! They always have everything decorated nicely per the season, as well. We love them!

Dr. Street and his entire team are wonderful! We have only been with them for a couple of months, but have thoroughly enjoyed and liked our time there. Dr. Street and his assistants explain what they are doing each time and also listen to their patients. Office staff is superb as well. We are happy thus far, and we feel and know that all will work out with my daughter's orthodontics. If you are needing to get braces, go and consult with Dr. Street and his team. You won't be disappointed!

Hands down the BEST Orthodontist!! He has a wonderful sense of humor, very compassionate! You can tell Dr. Keith enjoys his job and 100% wants you to look good and feel good. He's truly not in it just for the money like most out there! His staff is AMAZING!! From the front desk to behind the scenes, they are so welcoming and friendly!! This is my second visit here and I have only just started so I have many more coming, but I'm excited to see what Dr. Keith is doing for me. I highly recommend this office!!

I went to Dr Keith Street to get a free consultation just to see if he could help me have a beautiful smile and he was so nice and I was so happy when he told me that he could help me!! I got my braces on June 18,2021.. just went today for my second appointment and the staff and Dr Keith are so nice I look forward to my visits each month! I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs any orthodontic work!! I know I have a long way to go but I'm looking forward to the end result!!
