Novi Dentists PLLC has been at its current location since January 1998. Dr. Elfring and Dr. Andress initially met as associate dentists working for a group Dental Practice in 1986. Dr. Elfring went on to open his practice in Novi at the corner of 10 mile and Meadowbrook in December of 1986. Dr. Andress opened his own office in Livonia on the corner of 8 mile and Gill in September 1987. Both doctors stayed in touch over the years and consolidated their practices at the current location.
The three doctors and the staff alternate their hours in order to provide convenient hours for their patients. The practice is open Monday through Thursday from 8am-8pm, Friday 8am-5pm, and Saturday 8am-12pm.
I really enjoy the profession that I have chosen to pursue since the age of six. There are always new products or techniques to learn about in the field of dentistry. I like working with my hands incorporating the latest proven techniques to help my patients to the best of my abilities. The thing that I have enjoyed the most over the years has been the relationships I have had with our patients and staff. It is great to see a young patient grow up in our practice and then bring their family in with their young children.
During the past 30 years, I have accumulated more than 1,000 hours of continuing education work, including courses in cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, root canals, orthodontics, crown and bridge, and implant dentistry.
I met my wife Linda while studying at Michigan State University. We have been married for more than 30 years and have four grown children. We enjoy traveling or spending time in Elk Rapids whenever possible. During my time away from the office, I enjoy biking, running, hiking, and doing yoga.
Every day, I come to work excited about the variety in my job, both with the procedures I perform and the personalities of people I meet. I love changing my patients quality of life for the better, whether they need emergency dental work or want a cosmetic change to their smile. I have found a passion for cosmetic cases that can change a persons self-esteem, as well as their smile. The ability to have this level of variety is what I enjoy most about being a part of the dental profession.
When it comes to continuing education, I tend to focus on things that interest me as well as help my patients. I like to concentrate on restorative rehabilitation, such as endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, cone beam computerized tomography, and dental implants. I feel it is my responsibility to be well versed in all the different techniques involved in rebuilding and restoring my patients mouths and smiles.
I grew up in Clinton Township, MI and after a spell in Chicago, my wife and I moved back to southeastern Michigan in 2013. My wife and I are high school sweethearts and have been married since 2010. Our family is beginning to grow more with time. Back in March 2018, we welcomed our son Baden to the world, and he is growing up faster than we had expected!
When I am not at work, you can find me with my family. We enjoy walking our dogs around the city, exercising, and going to sporting events like Michigan football and Red Wings hockey. You can also find me participating in community events. During the summer months, we have a cottage south of Traverse City on Lake Michigan where we love to vacation.
I love practicing dentistrybecause it allows me to develop relationships with my patients and their families. I believe that every patient is different and deserves treatment tailored to them. I have a passion for providing the most advanced, high quality treatment to my patients, using both classic and cutting-edge techniques.
After completing dental school and working in private practice in Metro Detroit, I returned to school and completed a three-year training program in the dental specialty of prosthodontics. During this program, I received advanced training in full mouth rehabilitation, cosmetic dentistry, implant placement and restoration, management of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, and partial and complete dentures.
I grew up in metro Detroit, graduating from Brother Rice High School, and now live in Ann Arbor with my wife, Sabrina, and our pug, Mick. Sabrina and I met during our specialty program at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where we now serve as prosthodontics faculty members.
When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my growing family. My wife and I enjoy traveling and cooking together and spending time in Detroit. We are big fans of local sports teams, especially the Wolverines and Tigers.
