Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.

An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.

Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

Just want to say to everyone who left feedback...Thank You very much! This place sounds dreadful and is not the sort of place I want to go for dental work!

"Smiles" Dentistry is a FRANCHISE that charged me thousands of dollars to ruin my teeth. I never saw the same dentist twice & they were primarily minimally-qualified Central Americans (e.g., not qualified for root canals). When I discovered this office went "out of business", I made appointments with two other "SMILES" offices to get my screwed-up teeth realigned & my exposed, collapsed $1,100 root canal repaired - as promised IN WRITING! Both offices quickly said NO DEAL - and ushered me out the door!

They abandoned their practice and left their patients without a dentist or access to their medical records. Completely unethical. Should have their license revoked. No excuse for this kind of behavior.

Consistently inconsistent staff (in three years I've had 3+ dentists), endless rotating staff, varying levels of professionalism, frequent scheduling issues and cancellations, honestly not quite sure why I've been torturing myself with this place for 4 years. Dr. Neil Patel is down the street, professional, and seeing patients. Don't bother with this place. I gave two stars because I am feeling generous this morning.

I had a problem with an old implant. Dr C went far beyond what might have been expected to help me resolve this problem. His ability and ingenuity helped me avoid a major surgery to remove the old implant. I highly recommend him. Update, after 3 months the replacement failed and Dr. C failed to correct the problem. Not good.

Worst dental experience. I came in 2 years ago for a cleaning. The first assistant was sweet and took my xrays and set me up in a room. She then disappeared and I sat for 15 minutes. Two other assistants come in and test my gums. They read out numbers and then tell me I have bad gums and need a deep cleaning (I was 21 and had never had a gum issue before). The dentist then comes in and tells me we can hold off on the deep clean and instead do a laser gum treatment (to the tune of ~150). I am also told I have 4 cavities on 2 teeth. I hadnt had a cavity in years. I was trying to get this done before returning to college and the only appointment they had available happened to be an hour before a doctors appointment at Novato Kaiser. I asked if that was enough time and they assured me that yes, of course. I came back for the fillings and they again assured me that I would be out with time to make it over to kaiser. An assistant takes me back to the room. I waited to be seen. They then put all the stuff in my mouth for doing the fillings. And then said we are going to leave you to rest! And left for another 15 minutes. Then, they came and gave me the numbing shot before again leaving me to rest for 20 minutes. At this point I was getting very close to my other appointment time. They finally did the fillings. By the time they were getting to the end of it the anesthesia had started to wear off (not surprising after they left me for so long before starting) so I could feel the drilling. They then briefly checked and had me leave. At this point I had missed my appointment by an hour after they had assured me I would be fine. I was in so much pain after my appointment. I couldnt brush around the teeth for a week. I tried flossing 2 weeks in and it made me cry. 2 years later and I still have pain associated with flossing around their filling and the material is rough and gets caught on floss. I have a new dentist who I love who has since done fillings on me where the pain subsided in hours. I would not recommend this dentist to my worst enemy. They clearly try to get you to do unnecessary procedures. The amount of time they make you wait is obscene.

Twice I have called into the office to arrange and appointment. The first time the phone kept ringing and ringing all day, no answer. I finally tried emailing them twice to get a response. The second time, recently, I had to make an appointment and all day long the line was busy. I even had my wife try them and it was the same result both times. So I drove over there to make an appointment in person. The girl was nice and asked if I wanted to see the Dentist right now, and I said yes. I waited for 25 minutes only to be sent into a room and I sat in the chair for another 10-15 minutes. We are getting a new Dentist.

Made my first appointment and had to wait 2 months for it. They called me before telling me that the dentist that I was booked with is not there anymore and had reschedule. So I did. I waited again for 3 months then they called me AGAIN the day before saying the same thing. I have waited 5 months now for an appointment. This place is HORRIBLE. Like who waits till the last minute to call a patient like that who has been waiting so long. I have a filling that fell out and now it is probably so much worse than it was going to be. This place needs to be shut down.

Came here about 6 months ago to get a crown on a tooth I had a root canal on. And it was one of the worst experiences I've had. 1) it took them a while to come see me 2) dentist does not know how to do a basic metal crown, was trying to force me to pay the full amount for a porcelain crown which I didn't want but they reduced the price for me (which was nice) 3) while in the middle of making the crown the machine turned off and nobody was watching the machine so for about 45 mins it was unattended 4) dentist told me she had to leave because she had somewhere to be at 5pm, which was not my problem as I had something to do two hours prior because they left the machine unattended for so long.. So once the crown was complete she was in such a hurry to put the crown in my mouth that she didn't even take time to make sure the crown the properly placed and didn't measure my bite correctly. So recently I had to go back to get the tooth looked at since it was causing so much pain and I was sick of it. I was hesitant only because of my previous experience. The dentist is nice but I wouldn't come back here... Update: Crown issue not fixed. I've been having some pain again lately and couldn't realize what. I noticed that the crown was not shaved down on one side.. Thank God I will be seen by a new dentist! Hope to be pain free soon!!
