I absolutely love what I do! I couldnt imagine doing anything else. My daughter, Olivia, calls me a mommy dentist. Building relationships with my patients and their families, watching them grow, and seeing how their personalities and smiles unfold over time is what I enjoy most. It is a true pleasure to serve this community.
I was born and raised in the metropolitan Washington, DC area and received my undergraduate biology degree with honors from the University of Maryland, College Park. Being the youngest of three and very close with my family, I never thought I would leave the area. However, I decided to venture off and move to Boston for dental school when I was given the opportunity to attend Harvard School of Dental Medicine. I received my Doctorate of Dental Medicine, cum laude, in 2003 and completed my pediatric dental residency at Childrens Hospital, Boston in 2005. I loved my time in Boston with my husband, Mike, and it was an amazing experience to live in a city so rich in history, as well as a great sports town. I was there to witness the Patriots win three Super Bowls and saw the Boston Red Sox finally break the curse by winning the World Series in 2004!
When it was time to settle down, start a family, and build my practice, I was ready to return to the nest. My parents had moved to Loudoun County while I was in Boston to be closer to my brother and his growing family and they encouraged me to do the same. We found it refreshing to be in an area that was new and developing but still close to the city. We finally found the space to build the practice in Ashburn and to establish our roots in Leesburg.
Together, Mike and I are raising four active kids Olivia, Gavin, Grayson, and Asher, and two dogs Willow and Paisley. I enjoy running and can often be seen on the W&OD Trail and participating in area races ranging from a 5k to a marathon. I also enjoy dining at new local restaurants, interior design, listening to live music, learning about wine, and wine tasting. As a family, we enjoy traveling, all activities outdoors, supporting local businesses, and giving back to our community.
My work is more fulfilling than I could have ever imagined. The transformation of smiles and self-confidence as a result of orthodontic treatment reminds me every day of the positive impact my team has on the lives of others. I cant imagine a more rewarding profession; I love what I do!
It took a while, and quite of bit of training, to get to where I am today. I graduated magna cum laude with a degree in biology from Dickinson College where I was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa society. I received my Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. After my four years in Philadelphia, I moved to Boston to attend the Brigham and Womens Hospital/Harvard School of Dental Medicine general practice residency. Surviving only one New England winter, I moved to New York and completed my orthodontic residency as chief resident at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
I am originally from Northwestern Pennsylvania. My love for the outdoors and desire for a more temperate climate led me to Northern Virginia. I spend my free time running, hiking, biking, reading, and enjoying good food with family and friends.
My favorite part of my job is working alongside families and developing relationships with them. Providing compassionate care and making every child feel as safe and comfortable as possible is my number one priority.
My husband and I were born and raised in the DMV area. I attended the University of Virginia where I majored in Biology. I went on to Yale School of Public Health to receive my Master of Public Health in Epidemiology of Microbial Disease. After a few years of working in public health research, my desire to work more directly with patients led me to dentistry. I received my Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and returned to DC for my residency at Childrens National Medical Center, where I served at chief resident. I am a board certified pediatric dentist and active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Having worked at NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics for my gap year prior to dental school, I am thrilled to return to such a warm environment and work alongside such dedicated clinicians. My free time is spent mostly with my large extended family that resides in the DMV area. When not spending time with my nieces or nephews, you can find me trying out a new recipe in the kitchen or going on a long walk with my husband.
Dr. Faqeeri is a Board Certified pediatric dentist. Certification involves a written Qualifying Examination and an Oral Clinical Examination covering all areas on which a pediatric dentist should be knowledgeable. Dr. Faqeeri was the candidate who achieved the highest score on the qualifying examination and thus earned the James R. Roche Award of Excellence. This honor is awarded by The Foundation of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPB). Dr. Faqeeri was raised in Gainesville, Florida, and earned two degrees from the University of Florida (UF): a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Following this, she completed her postdoctoral dental residency in the NYU Langone Dental Medicine Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry Program. Having graduated in the top three percent of her class, she received the Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award. Residents who complete this program gain real-world experience as well as a sense of certainty and confidence in how to treat a full spectrum of patients, including those with unique oral medical challenges.
Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Faqeeri found her passion and calling while providing dental care to under-served children in the public health sector. She has helped launch three school-based dental sealant programs and played a pivotal role in providing much needed dental care to rural migrant families. Additionally, she has participated in multiple outreach events, including Floridas Mission of Mercy, which helps provide dental services to low-income populations.
Dr. Faqeeris young-at-heart, friendly, and reassuring personality makes her patients feel at ease with her. Her juggling skills are known to work magic on even the most nervous and tense young patients. In her spare time (when shes not juggling), she enjoys working out, learning about new cultures, traveling, exploring the outdoors, and entertaining friends and family while cooking Persian food.
