I earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2002. I also received training at the prestigious Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Studies, where I studied under a large faculty of senior practicing dentists from around the world. I am a dedicated professional and regularly pursue continuing education. I am currently working on my postgraduate degree in aesthetic dentistry from the University of Minnesota.

On a more personal note, I am married and have two daughters.I met my wife in Philadelphia, but Northern Virginia was her home and now mine.I treasure my time with my family.I also enjoy playing soccer, tennis, reading and I am an avid sports fan.
I am an Associate General Dentist here at Nova Dental Partners working alongside Dr. Kamran Tavakkoli, Dr. Kambiz Tavakkoliand Dr. Pashmini. I studied at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and received the degree of Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2016.
I am an Invisalign certified provider and have had rigorous and comprehensive care training and experience. I have completed numerous continuing education courses and I was also awarded #1 Office Main Clinical Director in the State of Indiana for 2016-2017.
I practice conservative dentistry backed up by the latest clinical research and proven dental diagnostics, techniques, and philosophies. I am all about practicing dentistry that is gentle and comfortable and Im excited to provide the most high quality dental treatment to my patients.
I am a Korean American who moved to the United States at the age of 8. I grew up in Ohio, but also moved around between Kentucky and Indiana. My hobbies include basketball, golf, snowboarding, and any other indoor/outdoor activities.

By far the best dental office! They have a few locations and each has exceeded my expectations. Dr. Kamran Tavakkoli and Dr. Maur are very knowledgeable, professional, and they deliver the best care. The staff and front desk are extremely friendly and provide the best customer service. Meg at the King Street Location provides quick service and over delivers. I can't say enough great things about Nova Dental!

I was extremely frustrated when I called today. Meg the office manager handled it and provided an explanation that I clearly understood. The offices are clean, and when they make referrals they try to make them for those what are already in your network. They are patient... I had to get my x-rays done multiple times. They are CCN for veterans who are seen at the Dept of Veterans Affairs. They are the top provider for care in the community for veterans. Thanks for being patient with me.

I came here about two years ago as a new patient, in terrible pain. I had scan done and a filling (by Dr. Choi) which left a filling in my gap that lead to a root canal and extensive pain. I originally went in for my pain in my mouth and sensitivity that Dr. Pashmini did an x-ray scan which she said everything was fine. The next day I got another dentist's evaluation that scheduled me for an emergency wisdom teeth removal since it was impacting my jaw and teeth, and this was not picked up after Dr. Pashmini's x-ray. Needless to say I will not be back and the prices were exceptionally high for mediocre service.

Great experience, seamless registration process, I didn't have to wait long to roomed. Everyone was great from pre-cleaning, hygienist to seeing a dentist. Glad I chose this location and Nova Dental Partners

Dr. Pashmini is amazing! I visited Nova Dental on Monday after my 4 year old bond (from a different location) popped off of my tooth over the weekend. I already had a crown appointment scheduled for a week later, so we just moved the date up and decided it was best to put the temporary crown on that day. I am terrible with needles, and the drilling is obviously terrifying, but the team was incredible! They made me feel completely comfortable during the entire process. Also, for a temporary tooth, I am very impressed with how realistic it looks! It makes me even more excited to come back for the real thing! I highly recommend coming to see Dr. Pashmini!!

Really impressed with Nova Dental Partners. Teeth cleanings have been supurb. The one area I wanted to highlight were the COVID precautions the staff takes. Temperature check when you walk in to start. I then was asked to gargle with peroxide before the cleaning began. After the cleaning, I recieved X-Rays. I immediately thought of the lead jacket and its cleanliness when it was placed on me. Well, as soon as X-Rays were completed, the hygenist wiped the entire jacket, X-Ray machine, closet, and handles she touched to open the closet down with alcohol wipes. Kudos to this dentist office for taking the extra steps to ensure everyone is comfortable, safe and healthy. Very impressed for sure.
