After receiving his undergraduate degree from the Catholic University of America in 1969, Dr. Snayd attended the University of Maryland's School of Dentistry, graduating in the class of 1974. Subsequently, Dr. Snayd participated in a two-year program within the United States Navy from 1974-1976. He established his practice in Norwich, Connecticut in 1976 where he is still in practice.
Dr. Fischer is a 1985 graduate from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Upon receiving his dental degree he completed a general practice residency program at the Medical College of Georgia. He then spent two years as a commission officer in the U.S. Public Health service stationed on the Pine Ridge Indian reservation in South Dakota. Dr. Fischer has been in practice at Norwich Family Dental Associates since 1988. While serving with the Public Health Service in South Dakota he met his wife Dalonne. Dr. Fischer his family have been residents of the town of Lebanon since 1962.
Dr. Amaro was born and raised in Norwich, CT, attending high school at the Norwich Free Academy. He received his undergraduate degree from Providence College and graduated from the Temple University School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Following graduation, Dr. Amaro did his general practice residency at Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania. Dr. Amaro has returned to Norwich and has been in practice since July of 2000.
Dr. Dunne was raised in Lebanon, CT and graduated from Lyman Memorial High School. He attended Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, earning his undergraduate degree in psychology. After completing his undergraduate education, he attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine graduating in 2004. Following graduation, Dr. Dunne completed his advanced education in general dentistry residency at the University of Connecticut.
Norwich Family Dental Associates is happy to introduce the newest member of our team, Dr. Yamini Patel. Dr. Patel graduated from SRM Dental College in her native India, she has completed two residency programs at Berkshire Medical Center Pittsfield, MA. and St. Marys Hospital Waterbury, CT. Over the last three years, Dr. Patel has spent her time as a Clinical Instructor for the General Practice Residency program at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine as well as General Dental Services at the Community Health and Wellness Center in Torrington, CT.
Dr. Patel is fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Malayalam, and Tamil. Dr. Patel resides in Westbrook with her husband and newborn son. We are pleased that Dr. Patel shares our philosophy and passion for dentistry.

Love the dentist and hygienists. However, while waiting in the waiting room (my mother and I were the only ones), the receptionists were having a rude conversation about the gender identity of the patient that just exited, out loud in front of us. The conversation included rude inappropriate remarks and jokes. Unable to listen to the petty giggling, I left and waited in the car.

Every time I come in Yolanda cleans my teeth. She does an amazing job. She is humble, kind and gentile. DR. Dunn is my dentist and I have had nothing but amazing experiences every time I have had to have work done by him. I chipped my front tooth years ago and it's still holding strong and you can't even tell I did it. I genuinely appreciate everyone here, even the front desk staff are always so friendly and helpful. I've been going here for years and wouldn't think about leaving!

Everybody dance very polite professional and very nice down to earth the dentist there and a cleaning stop and then secretaries there are fantastic the best dental office in the state of Connecticut

Took my 2 brothers here from NH.for birthdays. They thought the food and view were both terrific. A great place to celebrate all good happenings!!

Great dentists and hygienists; no complaints there. Would definitely recommend this place (and have!). Only criticism would be the way they bill patients. For major procedures (crowns, root canals, etc.) they have patients pay up front what they estimate the charges after insurance will be, instead of simply billing insurance first and then having the patient pay the remainder after (as just about every other place does). That wouldn't be so bad except that sometimes you overpay based on their estimate, and they never tell you that you overpaid. They just hang on to your money in a little "savings account" at the dentist that you might not find out about until months later. I found out I had $200 in credit with them many months after I had a procedure done, and even then they tried to encourage me to not ask for a refund and to leave it with them. If they are going to force patients to pay upfront based off an estimate, the very least they can do is auto refund any overpayment, or even simply alert patients of the overpayment, but they don't.

So no offense, I love the dentists but the receptionists are so rude for no reason. I understand the rescheduling/cancellation fee if it's the day before your appointment. I know what I signed up for. BUT there is no reason to talk down to anyone because of it. Mistakes happen. I don't care how rough your day is going but you're not getting paid to be rude to people. Didn't even say have a good day back to me, she just hung up.
