Loren J. Taple, DDS graduated from the University Of Minnesota School Of Dentistry in 1989. He then completed a residency in Advanced General Dentistry at the University of Minnesota in 1990. In 1991 he and Dr. Todd Thomas founded Eagan Dental Associates, now Northwood Dental. Dr. Taple has served as an adjunct faculty to the University of Minnesotas school of dentistry and has been involved in leadership positions of several dental organizations. He maintains membership in the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, St. Paul District Dental Society, and the International College of Dentists. He is a past president of several groups including the University Of Minnesota School Of Dentistry Alumni Society, the St Paul District Dental Society, and the Minnesota chapter of the International College of Dentists. In 2004 he was awarded the Humanitarian of the Year award by the Minnesota Dental Association for his involvement with charitable dentistry here in Minnesota and abroad, for which Dr. Taple continues to be involved. He has been repeatedly chosen by his peers as a Top Dentist in Minnesota (see Minnesota Monthly and Mpls-St. Paul magazines). Most recently the Minnesota Dental Association presented Dr. Taple with the Presidents Award for his many contributions to the association and the dental profession. Currently he is a member of their scientific sessions committee. Dr. Taple and his wife Susan reside in Mendota Heights.
Todd M. Thomas, DDS graduated from the University Of Minnesota School Of Dentistry in 1989. He then completed a General Practice at the University of Minnesota in 1990. In 1991 he and Dr. Loren Taple founded Eagan Dental Associates, now Northwood Dental. He has dedicated his practice to providing the very best in state-of-the-art dental care. Dr. Thomas is an avid outdoorsman; he and his wife and their three children reside in Webster.

My family has been getting care at Northwood Dental for several years now. It can take me a couple years to settle into a new dentist before I feel I'm in the right hands. Northwood has done a consistent quality job for us, do only what is necessary (integrity), are friendly, and provide a great facility and setting. Billing/scheduling is managed well too.

I'm fairly new to Northwood Dental. I drove by it for years and finally made the switch and I'm so glad I did. The office staff, hygienists and Dr Taple are so good at what they do. The office staff and hygienists are so nice and friendly. The office itself is beautiful. I'm very happy with Northwood Dental.

Have been going to Northwood for over 15 years. Always thorough and friendly and they do a great job cleaning teeth. Dr. Taple is excellent and his diagnosis spot on. They really do treat their patients like family. Great office - right off a beautiful pond. Can't do an better than Northwood Dental.

The clinic itself is the nicest I've ever seen. It is beautiful and serene and helps to relieve any "dental anxiety". The staff there----all of them----are so nice and friendly. They made my experience as good as a dental appointment can get! The providers and support staff are very knowledgeable and professional. I can't say enough good things about them.

my wife retired recently and when we discussed dental care needs we bought the simplified dental plan from Northwood Dental. They continue to be excellent in providing dental care and their facilities are top notch. Dr Thomas also refers you to excellent specialists if you need specialists to help you with a dental issue. In my judgment Northwood Dental is the best dental clinic in the world. They provide a safe hygienic and excellent service.
