An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

Went here today (3rd visit) for a root canal in preparation for getting a cap. The doctor, who from what I understand is a specialist, is only there one day a week. No big deal. He introduced himself as Gabriel. Don't know if that's his last name or first name, doesn't matter. After taking some x-rays, he explained that he would get me numb and get to work. That's when I got just a little worried because he didn't have the usual swabs with the topical stuff in his hand, just two syringes. I'm no hero, but I have had dental procedures just last week without anisthesia involving replacing a dislodged filling. But a root canal is different and when I saw he was going to do the injections without using the topical first, I was more than a little nervous. So I opened wide, and braced for the pain. Then, nothing! Well not nothing, but his "little pinch" was hardly even that! The guys needle skills are awesome! Anyway, I just thought Northwest Reno Smiles and Gabriel in particular really deserve a great review. Like I said, this is my 3rd visit and it won't be my last unfortunately (my teeth need more work). Highly recommended!

First time here. Thought I was having issues with a procedure I had at their Sparks office. They got me in next day. The dentist was very helpful and calmed my concerns. Turns out I was not having problems. Hey, better safe than sorry. I do have another appointment soon for cleaning. Not sure why the Sparks office is closed until September but it is. This office is a bit of a drive for me but if the next visit goes as well as my last, I'm ok with that.

Had 2 appointments 1pm & 1:30pm so I showed up to the earlier one at 1:00. Arrived early and wasn't even seen until 2pm and was out at 3. Spent over 2 hours here and the costumer service was terrible. Even when I checked in at 12:50 at the front desk no one gave me information my actual appointment time was at 1:30. Do not want to come back

They advertise same day emergency dental services. In reality they don't offer this service. I called with a dental emergency and was offered an appointment 38 days in the future. Seriously??! On my last visit there, it was just get you in and get you out, no explanations. I tried to make an appointment for a cleaning online- no response. Complete lack of understanding and or compassion. It's just a business and clients are just revenue source I would recommend going elsewhere, there are many choices in town

I've been going to NW for over 4 years. Dr. Sherastoni basically saved my teeth. I have a beautiful smile because of him and his staff. Dr. Abood is my dentist that has been in charge of my maintenance and is equally as attentive. My entire family goes there and is happy with the dentistry.

Customer service was excellent and explain everything well ( getting my bottom wisdom teeth taking out). The helped me feel comfortable for being 25 years old and first time getting wisdom teeth taking out

The price is rite. $59 first appointment, $130+ for cleaning exam and exrays after... until you realize it's a scam! I booked a cleaning and after the exam was told a hygienist wasn't available. They wanted me to come back to pay again. The dentist told me i need to start coming in every three months for cleanings. I took off work and drove 75 miles and still need to have my teeth cleaned.

Very professional staff, an excellent dental office with new equipment and the latest technology. I went in for a crown and it was handled in a single visit, took less than 15 minutes for the dental work and the crown itself was created on-site (not at a 3rd party lab) in just half an hour. I highly recommend this office for their efficiency and superlative work. Best dental office I've been to in Reno, I'm switching to this dental group based on my positive experience.

I was scheduled for extractions. I came in for my appointment and asked questions about my treatment plan. They double booked the oral surgeon and told me "since you wasted your appointment time asking consultation questions we need to cancel" I was not able to speak to the doctor or the oral surgeon. Asked for any leaderships contact information and was given the general business card to call back next week.

Will never return. Went for teeth cleaning. The xray staff did not seem qualified. Then dentist came and tried to sell me a very deep clean very expensive. At my age 77 this is not reommended.
