Dr. Anuja Kothari was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. She obtained her Bachelor of Science at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Dr. Kothari completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Illinois at Chicago. During dental school, she received several awards including the American Institute of Orthodontic Research Award and the Illinois State Dental Society Award. Following dental school, Dr. Kothari completed a post-graduate residency program at Nova Southeastern University to obtain a combined Specialty Certificate and Masters Degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Kothari served as the Chief Resident during her time at Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Kothari is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society. Through these organizations, she keeps up-to-date with technological advances and contemporary orthodontic treatment techniques.
Dr. Kothari understands that parents and patients want to know what to expect during treatment and knows that it is her responsibility to be an educator. A focus on great oral hygiene is a big part of our patient care system. A great smile after orthodontic treatment is only great if the teeth remain healthy and beautiful. Dr. Kothari appreciates that it can be challenging to maintain great oral hygiene and works with each patient to keep their teeth healthy. Additionally, she understands the importance of great communication with your general dental provider and works hard to keep everyone on the same page.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

Just recently got my braces off and I am in loveee with the results!! Sue was very accommodating with appointments & Dr. Kothari, Sandra, Lori and Blanca are all extremely kind, knowledgeable & professional! The entire staff is welcoming and makes you feel comfortable at every appointment. I 100% recommend Northwest for treatment, you won't regret it

Dr. Kothari and her staff are amazing! I had such a wonderful experience over the past two years. As an adult, I was quite apprehensive of going through the orthodontia process a second time. Everyone in the office put me at ease and I looked forward to going to my appointments. Highly recommend! 10 out of 10!

We had 2 of our children that had braces at the Franklin park location and the Dr and Staff where extremly professional and friendly . The before and after photos of there teeth where amazing . If you need braces this is the place to go ! You won't be disappointed ! Thanks you to all the Staff .

My treatment plan duration was 3 years and throughout that time Dr. Kothari and her team made my experience as a patient wonderful! The financial consult was done by Sue and she helped me understand the financial breakdown & find the best financial plan that met my needs. With every appointment the team at the office did there best to accommodate my schedule and were most kind even when I was tardy for an appointment. I appreciate that Dr. K was realistic with my treatment plan and expectations. With every appt I can honestly say her & her team of ladies are profession, genuine & warm! Not only does Dr. K offer scholarship grants but other fun goal incentives! My new smile has been life changing ! Big smiles here!!!

I was so insecure of my teeth growing up! I begged and begged my mom to get braces for the longest time. Every time we would go see a dentist or orthodontist they told us my teeth didn't meet the requirements to get braces. It was a cosmetic decision for me. My mom searched and searched which brought us here. This wonderful place, and the wonderful people who work here gave me a smile I will be forever grateful for. They were always so welcoming every appointment and always gentle while working on my teeth. 10/10 recommend coming here! Big shoutout to them! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

Both of my kids got their braces there...They explained everything to us in detail! Would definitely recommend! They have the most kind and accommodating staff, they are always smiling and very welcoming! And of course they did amazing work on my kids teeth and gave them a perfect smile :)

This office rocks! Everyone made you feel like family when walking in the door. Dr Anuja always made my young daughter comfortable and I always felt informed when leaving.
