Steven P. Best, DMD, received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Upon graduation, he was awarded Outstanding Student in Implant Dentistry. Dr. Best completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Broward General Medical Center and Memorial Regional Hospital, both Level I Trauma Centers in South Florida. Prior to residency, he completed a one-year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Christiana Care Health System in Wilmington, Delaware.
Dr. Bests major focus and experience have been in pathology, dental implants, soft and hard tissue reconstruction, facial trauma, and dental extractions. He has lectured on the local and national level, and has published an array of scientific and clinical journal articles on trauma, pathology, reconstruction, dental implants, and emerging technologies.
Dr. Best co-authored a chapter on ear reconstruction in the textbook,Current Therapy in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.Dr. Bests practice philosophy combines thoughtful treatment planning with careful attention to detail, which allows patients to confidently make informed treatment decisions. He is dedicated to providing meticulous surgical skill with compassionate care, in a comfortable environment. For patients who have apprehension about their surgery, Dr. Best provides IV sedation with a fully trained staff, and the most up-to-date equipment.

Dr. Best & his entire team is nothing short of amazing. I would highly recommend them to anyone . Him and his team goes beyond any measures to make sure you are comfortable as a patient. From the moment I walked in the door of his office, I could feel the compassion his team has for each and every patient down to the phone calls to check up on you after surgery.

Had all four of my wisdom teeth removed today and one molar! Dr.Best and staff made me feel so comfortable from the beginning. No pain at all, barely any bleeding and no swelling as of now. This doctor is compassionate about his job and cares about his patients! Would highly recommend to anyone.

I have had a phobia of dentists since 2006. I had to be referred because of a recurring abscess. Not only did they fit me in the very next day, they were absolutely wonderful and what was supposed to be only a consultation, ended up being able to take the tooth the same day. They really make you feel at ease. Even without being able to have sedation, the entire process was amazing. I was shaking when I went in and smiling as I left. I never felt like I was treated any differently because I had medicaid. The office is very modern and clean. The staff is amazing! I very highly recommend.

Had all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out today and had the best experience. Dr Best and his staff were wonderful and very professional. Sarah, his assistant is so sweet! Dr Best even called to check in with me several hours later! Pain is very minimal even with surgery just being done today and feel like im on a great path to recovery! Definitely recommend you go here for your oral surgery needs!

Dr. Best and his staff were kind enough to see me as a result of surgical issues and complications from another surgeon. The entire staff are the most compassionate, caring, thorough oral surgeon staff I have been treated by. In hindsight, I would have given all I possess to have had him do my extraction rather than who I chose, which turned into the worst medical experience in my life. I saw within minutes Dr. Best and his staff have been doing this for a very long time, and the results show they are perfectionists. Do yourself a favor and go to Dr. Best first.

I got my wisdom teeth out here on Friday and honestly it is no where near as bad as I thought it would be. I have TMJ and was really nervous about my jaw being dislocated or something of the sort while under anesthesia but so far so good and while some soreness is to be expected it is definitely not painful and my swelling is really minimal. I had a question today and even though it is Saturday, Dr.Best still got back to me and answered my questions. The nurses were all so nice and helped me relax, I believe one in particulars name was Sarah, and she was THE BEST! I was treated really well here and would definitely recommend. Everyone made me feel very comfortable and laughed at all my incoherent jokes I made after waking up from the anesthesia which is a bonus lol.

I got my wisdom teeth pulled February 18th and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was. I think my fear was getting put under. Dr. Best and his staff assured me that I was going to be fine and they was going to take care of me. Later on that night, Dr. Best called me checking on me. Overall, I wasn't really in pain just uncomfortable at times. Dr. Best and his whole staff was so professional and friendly. I will refer anybody to them..

I would like to thank Dr. Best and his staff taking such great care of me during my surgery. I was a nervous wreck but him and his staff was so understanding and helpful. i immediately felt a calmness and security when I walked through the door. I have never had any dr in my life call and check on me after surgery and Dr. Best personally himself called and checked on me and told me not to hesitate to call if I need or had any concerns. thank you so very much for taking such good care of me. The staff and physician are absolutely phenomenal! So professional, compassionate, knowledgeable in this field. Such caring individuals that work in unit as a team. I had the absolute best experience today at Dr.Best's office. The office is state of the art and beautiful. Very clean and calm. The staff from the front to the back are very kind! Dr. Best did an amazing job. He made sure to answer any questions I had and he made me feel important. I didn't feel anything during the procedure. I was completely numb. He was so gentle with me! He made me feel like he cared about making sure I was comfortable. I am normally very very nervous at the dentist but this office and staff help you feel calm. Phenomenal experience . I will recommend everyone to him. Thank you Dr. Best and Sarah for an amazing experience today.

This is the best oral surgeon I've ever been to. The office is beautiful and well kept. They don't let you leave this place without understanding everything that's going to happen to you. I'm a visual person he sits down with you and talks you through what he's going to do and before and after care. I'm glad I found this place along with a surgeon that actually cares about you instead of just taking your money, pushing you out the door and barely answering questions.
