I recently had an emergency tooth extraction performed at the Elgin office. I was pleasantly surprised how quick the procedure was completed. Relatively pain free except for a couple of pinches for the Novocain. Bleeding of the area stopped in a couple hours and the next day it was like, what infected tooth? Dr. Gauthier is very personable and the whole staff is friendly and professional. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

They push a consent form without letting you read it. Soon as I do there are a lot of boxes they did not check off. No verbal communication on any of the possible side effects or procedures. Asked me to sign without reading, and after reading asked if I was going to sign first before asking or answering any questions. Outdated office made for a very uncomfortable environment. Will be seeking a more professional oral surgeon.

Dr. Colby was wonderful and top notch dental surgeon. However, I would NOT recommend their clinic to anyone. I had one broken wisdom tooth which cost me $600 out of pocket even though I have TWO premium dental insurance's! They are not in ANY of the dental networks. They do tell you very nonchalant that they will submit the claim to the insurance, but they do not mention that you probably won't get covered for anything. I never expected to get $16 back from the insurance and this is at the time where basically everyone is unemployed. I literally paid 3 years of two premium dental insurance for nothing. I blame 100% the clinic for being shady. There are hardly any clinics around here who do oral surgery and they are shamelessly using it to their advantage. It is my biggest regret going to them and trusting them. I will advise everyone I know not to use their services. Just horrible!!!

Unfortunately I have to give 2 stars due to zero transparency of the final billing process. I was told they accept my insurance but later found out after my surgery that they are out-of-network with all insurances. They call up the providers to see they get covered (may not be exactly the process since I didn't understand completely). In any case, 0% of my surgery was covered and I ended up paying the total bill. The doctor did a great job and the staff are super friendly but if you end up going here please do your research and make sure it will be covered.

Dr. Jensen was amazing and professional with us. Their staff was wonderful. My son's surgery was seamless. As far as price and billing they were transparent from the start about being out of network. They do submit insurance as a courtesy to patients. I have heard great things about the other surgeons as well. We are going to see Dr. Chemello now since Dr. Jensen retired.
