Dr. Heggen was raised in Austin, TX and attended Anderson High School. She received her BA in biology at Texas Christian University, graduating with Honors. Dr. Heggen then completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, graduating Cum Laude with Honors in Research in 2005. While in dental training in San Antonio, she was very active in her roles as Vice President, Historian, and Dental Class Secretary. Additionally, Dr. Heggen received an Academic Achievement Scholarship, was a finalist for the James P. Vernetti Award for Excellence in Operative Dentistry, and was recognized for her research in pain perception, receiving awards in Hawaii, Baltimore and San Antonio. Dr. Heggen is a member of several organizations which include: American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Capital Area Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Impact Austin Study Club.
Dr. Heggen worked as a dentist near Dallas, TX for 5 years and then San Diego, CA for 1 year prior to moving back to Austin in 2012. She loves being back home in Austin and enjoys sharing, discovering and experiencing all the old and new Austin treasures with her husband, Hilton and their two children, Chance and Ella.

I was nervous about going to the dentist because I have not been keeping up with my cleanings, but Ashley & Dr. Tossi were so nice and gentle, they put me at ease. I would definitely recommend them!

Wow, what an amazing dental clinic. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I felt well informed about my dental health upon leaving and generally had a good time! Also, almost all women staff!!! Stellar

Jackie Vo and her team are, hands down, the BEST dentist team in Austin. This recommendation comes from me, my mom, my grandparents, my aunts, my dad -- everyone in our family goes to Jackie because her team are just, simply, the BEST you can get. Lightning fast, unbelievable customer service, super comforting, incredibly friendly -- I literally cannot say enough positive things about this place. I am at the point where, if I lived in another state, I would fly in to Austin just so that I could go to Northwest Hills Smiles. That's how good they are. Do your mouth a favor and trust the team here. They're the BEST you can get.

Love this dental practice. I have been coming here for years. The staff is wonderful. Dr. Atassi and Cathy the dental hygienist that I see but Sashaa and Kori are so very pleasant also. I've not interacted with the others but I'm pretty certain this office hires outstanding personnel.

Great team here. My family goes so we've seen several of their hygienists and Dr. Atassi. My family and I just went for a cleaning today and their enhanced procedures made me feel comfortable. We all scheduled to go at the same time and they accommodated us. My daughter has been going for 5 years, they always make her feel safe and happy to go to the dentist.

I'm 74 and have been to many dentists over the years. When I first went here I thought it was a dental factory. I have so changed my opinion. They are so current in dental science which made my experience very pleasant if you can say that about being at the dentist! Loved the staff from the front office to the dentist and her assistant. I strongly recommend this office.

I've been a patient at NW Hills Smiles for over a decade. Dr. Atassi is my dentist and she's awesome along with the staff. Especially Claudia. She gets my teeth sparkling clean. I feel cared for each time I visit and Dr. Atassi is a very knowledgeable and experienced dentist. In a city where dentists are plentiful, I'm grateful to have found (in my opinion) the best one. Highly recommend.
