Dr. Laggan formed Northwest Florida OMS with Dr. Morris in 2010. He began his surgical career with a four year residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. During his residency, he received special training in complex head and neck trauma and reconstruction at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. Dr. Laggan previously served as the head of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Naval Hospital Pensacola for four years. During this time, he also deployed to U.S. Military Hospital Kuwait in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dr. Laggans additional naval experience includes tours on USS John F. Kennedy and USS Gunston Hall with deployments to the Persian Gulf, the Mediterranean Sea, South America and Africa.
Dr. Laggans training and experience in the Navy allows him the ability to provide a wide range of services to his patients. His clinical interests include complex oral reconstruction, dental implant surgery, treatment of facial deformities, and dentoalveolar surgery. In tandem with private practice, he is also on staff with the Cleft-Craniofacial Surgical Team at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Dr. Laggan lives in Pensacola with his wife Christy and their children, Riley and Sam. Outside of the office, he enjoys training and competing in swimming, cycling, and running as well as supporting his boys sports, hobbies, and school activities.
Dr. Larry Morris is board certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and a fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He received his undergraduate degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham, Alabama. He did an internship and residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana, finishing in 1973. He has been in private practice in Pensacola since that time. Dr. Brett Laggan joined the practice in 2010 as a partner, forming Northwest Florida Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, P.A.
Dr. Morris is a member of the Florida Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association and the Escambia-Santa Rosa Dental Association. His hospital affiliations include Baptist Hospital, Sacred Heart Hospital and the North Florida Surgery Center.
Dr. Morris was an adjunct instructor for Pensacola State College for many years in the oral hygiene program teaching head and neck anatomy. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support.
Dr. Morris and his wife Beth have two married children-Mason and Merry Beth. They lost their third child Melanie to breast cancer, She had three children, Emma Rae, and Elizabeth and Allen that live close. He enjoys tennis, traveling, and spoiling the grandchildren.

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Laggan. I have severe dental anxiety and have been dreading having my wisdom teeth removed for at least 10 years, but Dr. Laggan and the entire staff were phenomenal. Every single person I had an interaction with was kind and caring, from the front desk to the surgical staff. I was massively anxious on the day of my procedure, and nearly in tears multiple times but Maddie was so kind and didn't make me feel silly at all. No issues after the procedure, and I've been healing nicely!

I went there today with the fear of a 40 year old jaw injury. It was a pleasant surprise when they saw me the next day. With an impressive 3D X-ray machine professional images were taken followed by a thorough examination. All the staff and especially Dr Laggan were professional, friendly, and most helpful. The cost was reasonable, and I left with a great feeling of relief. Thank YU

My mom needed all her teeth removed to get dentures EVERY single visit from the first to the last was the best care I have literally even seen from any one the office staff is AMAZING friendly courteous helpful the assistants were AWESOME they took great care of mom helped her in every way made her comfortable answered ALL our questions every time and the dentist I have no words if I had him when I was younger I never would've been scared of the dentist ABSOLUTELY AMAZING start to finish!!!!!!!!

After 6 months of leaving voice mails, in person messages, emails, and phone calls, my dental insurance company still has not received an invoice from this practice. Now my Carecredit no interest promotional period is over and I will be paying 6 months of back interest because of this office and their ineptness. They are not motivated to bill my insurance company, because they have already received their money from Carecredit. So therefore, I do not recommend using this facility or their services. I am very disappointed in their lack of concern, lack of follow through and general lack of care.

Let me start off by saying if I could remove the one star I would.....Got referred here for an emergency procedure and after having issues with my insurance I was told an hour later that the cost was $430 no payment plan, no assistance other than to reschedule if you don't have monet upfront.....went ahead and paid for my procedure and then was unable to have it due to Blood pressure being shot up through the roof behind these people. Was told to come back today....went back today and blood pressure was fine before going, but I have White coat syndrome with coming in there it was a little high due to the syndrome and asked to waot a sec and let me rest and calm down and she did got bp to 139/107 and was not only refused to be treated but was refused to be rescheduled without clearance from my doc...I left called my doc and got clearance, was told my doc has to call them so she can talk to them but still refuse to reschedule my appt while expecting not to refund me my money......I think the hell not, refunded me now and I will go elsewhere....Dr. Smoot is very rude and so was management.

I've had great customer service up until I talk to dr. laggon. I had a question his number was the one I was given. He was so rude to me, he was litterally yelling at me threw the phone. I would not let him do any surgery on my mouth for sure. Very unprofessional shame on you .

This was horrible experience I went in at 10:52 I was out at 11:29 the first two teeth went fine the last tooth I was not sedated I was wide awake and not numb at all I started cussing in pain as doctor laggen got the tooth out 5 mins after he got it out they pulled my monitor off pulled my Iv out put me in wheel chair and out the back door I wasnt allowed any time to regain my self I was litterly shuttled out the back door in wheel chair for the amount of money I paid I expected better service on top of that they didn't even pack my jaw properly with gauze it was gushing blood all in the car and all over my shirt you would think they would want to treat people better day after shards of teeth and bone are coming up through my skin I called and asked why did procedure go this way after I was told I would have 45 min surgery and about hour recovery she just got rude and said I wasn't in there I'll have assistances call you then she said the shards of bone and teeth are normal and I may have to come back to have rest removed no way I'm ever coming back and I suggest anyone reading this please avoid them at all cost

The doctors and staff are making my dreams come true with every visit! Been missing my right front incisor for 20 years and thanks to this establishment I'll have a tooth pretty soon! I was a difficult case to begin with but Dr. Laggan has been very informative and realistic throughout every step of the way. Not getting my hopes up, yet unwilling to give up when the situation seems arduous. Even though I have a long way still to go, I will FOREVER be grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff at Northwest Florida and Maxillofacial surgery.
