Dr. Jonathan Yang grew up in Portland, Oregon and attended Oregon State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. He went on to attend Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2000.
Remembering the beauty of Central Oregon from childhood family vacations, Dr. Yang (Or, as he prefers, Dr. Jonathan) embraced the opportunity and accepted a position with Redmond Dental Group to begin his dental career. Soon, he knew he wanted to plant roots in Central Oregon. In 2004, Dr. Jonathan acquired his current practice and continues to enjoy being a practice owner.
Why La Pine? is a question Dr. Jonathan is often asked. He enjoys the very personal connections that a small town offers, and feels that he can make a positive and lasting impact within the community. This small (but growing!) town also reminded him of the farming community in Vietnam where he was born and the privilege of serving here in La Pine has kept him humble. Dr. Jonathan grew up in modest circumstances, and he believes this has aided his perspective in understanding the needs of patients from varying social and economic backgrounds.
In 2003, Dr. Jonathan married Julie and together they have two young children, Alexa and Griffin. Their family is completed by two dogs, a Chihuahua (Kenzie) and a Labradoodle (Murphy) who often accompany them on their adventures. As a family, they find joy in biking, hiking, skiing, swimming, kayaking or just relaxing at home. They also enjoy RVing and riding ATVs along the coast, or exploring National Parks during the summer. When not in the office or with his family, Dr. Jonathan can be found golfing and fishing with friends.
Dr. Jonathan is known for his gentle and caring approach to dentistry, as well as his excellent clinical skills. He believes the highest compliment is the confidence his patients place in his practice by the high volume of patient referrals he receives. The success of his practice is a direct result of these referrals, and Dr. Jonathan is honored and grateful for the privilege to not only provide high-quality care to his existing patients, but to their family and friends as well. To maintain your trust in him and for his own personal and professional growth, Dr. Jonathan will always strive to remain current in his field, passionately pursue advanced dental technique training, and stay informed of the latest dental research.
Bridging modern technology and his 21 plus years of experience, Dr. Jonathan continues to be enthusiastic about restoring and helping his patients maintain their beautiful smiles. He looks forward to serving the amazing people of La Pine and Central Oregon for many years to come, and hopes to continue exceeding expectations in his practice.

Having to reschedule appointments a few times due to life circumstances such as illness, work related trips, a PANDEMIC, etc will have you removed completely from services. I am very disappointed in the lack of understanding and respect. We have spent $1000's of dollars here and to receive a letter in the mail stating we are now longer "accepted" as patients, was very disheartening. I understand that rescheduling can cause a disruption in the doctor's day but such is life. Dr. Wang clearly showed us he's only concerned about money and not the well being of my family. We are very happy to find a new dentist.

First off they play Fox News in the waiting room. Big Red flag! Makes me not trust their judgement and overall intelligence. Dr. Yang doesn't have a cool personality at all. Actually leaning towards mean. On the positive side, they seem to have a nice budget for equipment. It didn't feel dirty inside.

Awesome customer service! The ladies in the front office are SO nice! I really like my dental technician, she's super sweet and always making sure I'm comfortable. The dentist is amazing! All around super happy! THANK YOU!!

Dr. Yang and his staff are the absolute best! Everyone in my family is a patient of theirs. My children since age three, refuse to see anyone but them. I absolutely recommend this office. Hands down the best place with the most amazing and gentle staff. Thank you Dr. Yang for providing the care that you do!

I just had my Bottom Wisdom teeth removed this morning by Dr. Yang! It was as pain free and gentle as is possible I'm my opinion! I don't like pain and Dr.Yang and his staff did a great job! Very happy Lapine has such a good Dentist available as such good prices!

Very busy office, can seem like an uncomfortably long wait to get an appointment. Once in: straight-up info, skillful work, up to date techniques, lots of attention to comfort. Three of my aging crowns & fillings had disintegrated. They did a great job building up a front tooth. It's nice that friends no longer ask "what's up with your tooth" in conversation. They also rebuilt two molars that are important for eating stuff like meat and carrots. It's not an easy thing to restrict chomping to one side of my mouth!
