Eric Hansen, LD, of Northwest Dental, along with his late father, worked hard to develop his skills as a licensed denturist and to pass laws that recognized and regulated his profession in the state of Washington. Ron Hansen started his career proudly serving his country in the Air Force. Once he finished serving, he returned to Whatcom County and, with help from the G.I. Bill, he was able to begin his training at Precision Dental Lab in Bellingham, Washington.
At the time, denturism was not recognized as a profession by the state of Washington, and denturists had to work alongside dentists in order to make dentures. Despite this setback, Ron wanted to work in his own lab and after his training was over he succeeded in starting his own dental lab. It wasnt long before it had grown enough that he was able to service dentists in both Whatcom and Skagit Counties. After his son, Eric, graduated high school and showed interest in dentures, the two of them set out to change the denture world.
Eric Hansen began his career as a denturist at a very young age, playing with wax in his fathers dental lab. After he graduated high school, he put the playing aside and worked alongside his dad in his new dental lab. The two of them attended Idaho State University and the Oregon Denturist College. They both became licensed denturists in 1988 after successfully passing their exams at the Oregon Denturist College and receiving their Denturist Licenses.
Soon after they achieved their licensing, Eric and Ron owned and operated a small denture clinic in Deming, Washington on the Nooksack Indian Reservation, as denturism was not yet recognized in the state of Washington. This became Eric and Rons next mission: to get denturism to be a recognized profession by the state. Teaming up with other denturists across the state, they worked together and successfully passed Initiative 607, which formally recognized and regulated the denturist profession.
Rodney Ron Hansen peacefully left us in January 2010 and will be remembered through his wife Michaele and his two sons, Eric and Jeff. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

The only person I dealt with was Melissa Brulotte, L.D. I am 68 years old and have never encountered a dentist as nasty as she was. There was no kindness, empathy, politeness, professionalism, or sense that she cared at all about what she was doing to me. I have passed on my experience with this person to every doctor, dentist or person I come in contact with, especially the Dentist that recommended her. At the last appointment I had with her, I had a new dentist ready to see me & help me immediately after I left with my tooth problem. I haven't been in pain since leaving her practice. Please, check everyone out before going to them, this experience was a nightmare!

Told me over the phone a price to come in and get a tooth extracted came in they did an exam and told me to keep the tooth and come back in June for a cleaning....charged me over $100 waisted my time and poked at my tooth letting me leave in more pain than I came in with...

I had a major extraction surgery and dentures. I am very impressed with how nice everyone is. My Denture teeth turned out great! Smiles!!

First let me say that Cody is great. He has been really willing to work with my husband's schedule, he's patient and kind. His reception staff however is where they get 1 star. One receptionist in particular has treated my husband horribly from the very beginning of his denture adventure. She has been unwilling to be kind, helpful and has been extremely rude to my husband. Going so far as to lie to him even when he had proof to show she lied. After this experience and abuse from this receptionist, once his treatment is done, we will never return to this business. My husband should not come home shaking from a confrontation with reception staff. Especially when he has a diagnosed mental illness. In this day in age you'd think he would be treated better.

I had a large amount of work to be done. I went in for an appointment and saw Dr Ra and Cody Carson. They went over all my options, and answered all my questions. I had A LOT of questions. After the first appointment Kathleen up front went over the amounts I would owe. She was so kind and suggested care credit. I had all my work completed and was able to pay payments with care credit. The two assistants (I forgot their names) were also awesome. I am never going anywhere else. I am so happy I found this place!!!!!
