The practice first opened its doors as Rudd Family Dentistry under Dr. Rudd in our original location in the 1970's. For 30 years, Dr. Rudd successfully ran the practice as a staple in the Spokane Community until he decided to retire. Dr. Leale purchased the practice in 2011 and renamed it NorthView Family Dental. Since then hes expanded the practice to 11 rooms, including 2 surgical suites, and 3 doctors.
When you visit, our first goal is to establish a feeling of trust. Our job is to listen to you, respect your feelings and concerns, and educate you. We understand that you may be anxious about the process of receiving dental care; therefore, we make a point to carefully explain your proposed treatment plan and we take the time to answer all of your questions. Only then will we take you through your treatment with the utmost care. We have many techniques, local anesthetics, and relaxation methods to increase your comfort. The more involved you are in making your dental health decisions, the less room there is for fear and uncertainty.
Our top priority is to treat each patient as an individual, to get to know them personally, and not merely treat them as a chart number or 'the next patient.' We promise all our patients the same things: a caring and attentive staff, an enthusiastic manner, and dental care delivered with exceptional comfort in a friendly atmosphere.
Dr. Leale has 10 years of experience in the dental industry and purchased NorthView Family Dental from Dr. Rudd in 2011. Dr. Leale has treated patients throughout eastern Washington and northern Idaho.

Absolutely wonderful place!! I had to get a crown on my front tooth and i was very nervous about it, Monica talked me through all of it she did wonderful helping me get comfortable before we started the procedure, it was awesome!!!

Dr Leale did an amazing job placing 3 implants on me and worked with me until it was perfect even though I'm a paranoid AND a karen. He really wanted me to like it and everyone goes the extra mile here to make patients comfortable. Since Dr Leale is so good at cosmetic procedures, lots of us olds hang out at his office and everyone is happy as a clam with smiles as nice as mine. Thank you Dr Leale. BirdieGirlFlying :) My hygienist Vanessa, has helped me to heal my broken gums. I just saw her today, my mouth is fresh again, she gave me goodies and a sticker. Vanessa is my Tooth Guru and I adore her work. Thanks to The Tooth Guru Favorite Assistant - Monica. She just gets me, or at least she fakes it well. Monica has been doing this a long time, she knows what she's doing, and I trust her completely. Dr Leale seems to trust her a lot also. She is really attentive to both myself and Dr Leale. This office deserves more than five stars, truly the best place you could go to for all your dental needs. The staff is extremely nice and always makes sure that you're comfortable. I just recently had to get some cavities removed, I almost fell asleep in the chair while Char & Dr Leale worked on them. Thanks NorthView Family Dental

I was so impressed by all the latest technology. Their care team went above and beyond any care I have ever experienced at other dental offices. Dr Martin, his assistant Monica and the Hygenist Kabao were extreamly informative in all posible options towards of my care plan without pushing the most expensive options. They actually care about you as a person and how they can meet your indavidual needs. I don't leave reviews very often, but in this case I felt the need to share my experience if its helpful to anyone else looking for a new dental office.

I would highly recommend this office...I am now a patient...a great big thanks to Maria and Dr Leale for taking great care of me! Update I'm still a patient and so happy to have them! I wanted to give a shout out to Filbert! He is the best at what he does! Thanks to Dr. Leale again I appreciate you! Update #2 - I just can not say enough good thing about this practice! Everyone is amazing and I was having a dental emergency and they squeezed me in and literally saved my sanity from the pain. Thank you a million times is not enough!

I was told 4 years ago I would need sedation for any work done. Careful discussion with Dr. Martin, plus reviewing my dental records, indicated I probably didn't need sedation at all! But I was understandably scared about pain for my first procedure. Dr. Martin was kind, patient, and took all the time needed for me to feel comfortable before moving on to each next step. Filbert assisted, and also helped greatly in managing my anxiety. No pain! I was thoroughly numbed, and everything went smoothly. It takes a long time for me to build trust in a dentist, and I feel confident I've found the dentist and practice I need!

Rachel G. was fantastic! My appointment was scheduled last minute, but she had me in early, got my teeth excellently cleaned, and had me out in time to start my shift that began right after my appointment. 10/10, will be returning here for more cleanings!

Each time I come in for a check up and cleaning, Nicole has been pleasant and helpful. This past visit a cavity was found under a crown and Dr. Leale took it upon himself to squeeze me in for the following day. He did what he could so that I wouldn't need a root canal along with his assistant,Filbert.

I have PTSD with dentist in general. Northview was phenomenal with dealing with people like me. They also have high tech equipment and very friendly staff. Dan the man & Dr Starter are awesome people. I will whiling be returning. Love the complimentary services and goody bag. Will recommend!

I came in on 9/28/22 to visit Monica and Dr.Martin, I had to get 2 crowns done. They were so kind and they talked me through the procedure. So professional and knowledgeable. Dr.Martin cares and made sure I was comfortable. He did an amazing job !! Monica is my advocate when it comes to knowing what I can do to make my smile look better. She helps me understand my insurance. Honestly Monica is my Dental Family. She always makes me feel important. If you want people to work on your teeth that have the knowledge and care about what they do, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!!

Had a great visit at the dentist today! Monica and Dr. Startin work very well together. Their chair-side manners are excellent and I recommend them both! They took care of a scheduled tooth and a tooth that wasn't on the books! Afterwards, Monica took the time to educate me about my teeth clenching problem. By taking a few quick pictures of my teeth, she was able to easily show me what was happening and offer a solution. I was cared for and I really appreciated my dental visit. North View Family Dental is Top of the Line. It's facility is filled with high tech dental equipment and services, with highly trained professional staffing and personnel that care. I was extremely impressed by the care that I received by Dr. Martin and Monica, (amazing teamwork), and by Kabao and Julia. The reception area was equally impressive being filled by a warm caring staff. They all truly rate the five stars that I have given them.

I love Northview Family Dental. As a new patient, I was nervous about getting some cavities filled, but Monica and Dr. Startin made sure it was an easy and miraculously painless process. Unfortunately I can't rate these people 6 stars so 5 will have to do. I am a fairly new (and highly dental phobic) patient who actually may have dozed off during a 3 hour procedure yesterday. I give some credit to the nitrous but mostly the kind, caring staff. If you have teeth, this is the place for you!
