All of our Doctors are members of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, Saint Paul District Dental Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry and the University of Minnesota Alumni Association.
Dr. Norsted founded Northview Dental in 1980 after receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota. With over 25 years of service, Dr. Norsted has been a leader in both the dental community and in public service. In 2006 and 2007 he joined Mission Jamaica to provide critically needed dentistry and supplies to hundreds whom otherwise have no access. His more than 1,000 hours of continuing education have spanned all areas of general and cosmetic dentistry, including completion of the Las Vegas Institute 's esthetics continuum. Named a 'Top Dentist' by his peers, Dr. Norsted provides comprehensive care in all areas of dentistry.
Dr. Peter Swenson achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery with honors in 1996 from the University of Minnesota Dental School. He joined Northview Dental later that same year. Dr. Swenson has received extensive postgraduate education in all areas care including the intensive esthetic smile design and reconstruction program from the NYU School of Dentistry. He has been named a 'Top Dentist' and 'Top Cosmetic Dentist' by his peers and enjoys comprehensive patient treatment in all areas with a specialty for cosmetics and working to alleviate patient fears (anxiolysis). Dr. Swenson is an Invisalign Certified Provider and experienced Cerec Cad/Cam user .
A 2006 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of dentistry and obtained his undergraduate from St. Olaf College. He enjoys comprehensive family dentistry including cosmetics. He has attended various continuing education programs involving treatment planning and full mouth restoration at the Dawson Academy and the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry in Arizona.

The dentists and staff at Northview Dental are very professional, respectful, kind, and mindful of good pandemic practices - with just the right amount of friendliness and humor. I went in for a routine cleaning and to have a lost-filling in my wisdom tooth replaced. Very difficult to reach and fill, but mission accomplished in no time. I have confidence in the Northview dentists and dental team and I will soon have some restorative work done by Dr Norsted.. Northview Dental was recommended to me by a neighbor and I will happily recommend them to others.

Very clean and pleasant office. Staff is friendly and very professional. Billing is transparent and they advise you on the procedure schedules with detailed cost breakdown to save you the most money. Recommending them without any hesitation.

Phenomenal place. Had a tooth issue and called at 12:30 pm and they, even though they were over booked, were able to get me in first thing the next morning. The team here is second to none and you cannot find a better place whether it be patient interaction or their abilities.
