Can't say enough good things about North Star Dental. Starting with Sara at the front desk. Mary has always done a fantastic job as our dental hygienist. Dr. Carlson is very caring and knowledgeable. They have been there when both my husband and I have had unique challenges. We would highly recommend this dental office to anyone.

Fantastic, thorough, skilled dentistry! Dr. Carlson and the entire team made my reentry in going back to the dentist a very positive experience. Specific examples included step by step guidance and support during the procedures, all work explained prior to beginning, constant pain monitoring, comfort level also addressed with music choice, sunglasses (shade from bright dental lights), and even a blanket during a recent hot summer day when the air conditioning was on in the office. These little perks make a dentist visit so much more enjoyable. I had a front tooth veneer replaced and am still in awe at the craftsmanship and match to the other natural front tooth. Ditto for the work down on a crown and for the cleaning services. I had heard from a friend that his bite was off after crown work at his dentist. Not me! I am so pleased I chose to go back to Northstar Dental. Highly recommend. Thank you, Dr. Carlson, Sarah, Mary, Matt, and Alicia.

The support staff is absolutely first rate (especially the ever-so gentle Mary), and Sarah Carlson is an excellent professional whose main priority is making sure her patients are supremely comfortable. Dr. Sarah Carlson and staff are incredible. Dr. Carlson, along with the entire staff, is so caring, so professional, and more importantly so very kind. I cannot recommend them enough! They are truly caring about their patients and always go the extra mile to ensure you are healthy and happy. I'm so thankful I found them and will continue recommending them. My teeth have never looked better! :)

I just had to share my latest experience at Northstar Dental with everyone. I have been going to Northstar Dental for many years and they have been very professional while being caring and sensitive to my needs and financial situations over time. I have recently started smiling and showing teeth when pictures are being taken for the first time in almost 30 years! I have long been ashamed and embarrassed of the appearance of my teeth due to the graying effects of long term tetracycline antibiotic usage in my young adult years. I had tried all types of over the counter whitening systems with little to no results. I basically felt the only answer was to replace my perfectly good teeth with crowns or have veneers put over them, which I had tried in the past and now had to have them removed due to age. Both options were way out of my financial limits. After loosing my Dental Insurance, I hadn't seen Dr. Carlson in about a year. Her office began using a very reasonable program for people without dental insurance, so I joined that and went back. In this visit, she told me about a new option for teeth whitening called KOR. It was reasonable in price, done mostly by me at home and it produced amazing results! I can hardly believe it and it has, literally changed my life. It has given me a boost in confidence and I feel like smiling all the time. In addition to the excellent care and up-to-date knowledge that Dr. Carlson has, her staff is also wonderful. Alicia who assists her in procedures, is an artist in her own right! She has done several tedious procedures on me and was always concerned with my comfort and didn't finish the job until the results were perfect. When Dr. Carlson and Alicia work together, it seems like they are one person and compliment each other wonderfully. They also seem to enjoy what they are doing! I have to say how much I love Mary my dental hygienist. I have literally been seeing only her for over 30 years. Mary is the nicest, most gentle, caring person I have every met. In my younger years when I didn't take good care of my teeth and even smoked (!) she always encouraged me and never scolded me. I never felt bad when I saw her and always came out with teeth feeling great and a new commitment to do better. Sarah, who is the smiling face when you walk in the door , always seems to remember me and makes me feel welcome. I highly recommend Northstar Dental to everyone and especially if you are frustrated with a lack of options or find them too expensive or just hate the idea of going to the dentist. I think you will feel better after you give them a try.

I have been bringing my family here for a little over a year. With each one of my three kids I have paid my balance as I visit. After switching insurance it was suggested to bill out. Apparently they had the wrong address. I NEVER received a bill and they put me into collections after one quarter. She even mentioned that I should try paying my bills if I don't want to be in collections. This is terrible as I am not in collections for anything else. Very poor customer service I would NEVER go here as they have been rude. In addition both my wife and I had to be sent to other dentists for extractions as they were not skilled enough to do the procedure.
