Dr. Paape graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2006. After practicing in public health for a year, out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he and his wife moved to Alaska, where he was an associate for 2 years. In 2009, Dr. Paape realized his professional goal of starting and owning his own dental practice.
Dr. Paape continues to be committed to dentistry though continuing education and belongs to the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Far North Surgical Study Club, the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Alaska Dental Society.

Dr.Pappe have been seeing my Grand Children, My Daughter, & myself for 3 yrs. But I myself have had the experience with him these last couple of weeks, & I want to say that this man has giving my life back to me. Dr Paape truly cares about his patients . He is the best dentist I have ever had. His staff is also very pleasant and courteous. I recommend him to anybody who is looking for a good dentist.

I have been going to Northstar Dental for the past 10 years. Dr. Paape is a professional, caring dentist. His office staff is superior! Everybody was really nice , the main thing is , I really scared pulling my teeth out but this one was really safe and I didn't even feel pain. I am waiting for my denture now and I know it will come up really good. I personally recommend Northstar dental to everyone.I will bring my daughter next time.

In addition to my previous post, I must say that Mary the Dental Hygienist is hands down the best I've ever had in Alaska! Mary pays attention to detail and makes the experience not feel like a dreaded appt. Mary engages in conversation and strives to make the patient relaxed and comfortable! I love having her do my cleanings! I also tend to have a sore jaw from the constant opening wide mouth, but Mary uses a comforting oral biting block that keeps my mouth open without tiring my jaw! Renae also is both personal and professional in all her capacities! I absolutely love the practice and would encourage anyone needing a dentist to go here!
