Always great! I've been a customer for more than 5 yrs. Jon is my hygienist and he is always a pleasure to be with. He's professional, knowledgeable and oh my goodness funny! The staff is great and Dr. Robinson is a little newer to the staff and she was also a pleasure. She checked out Jon's work on my teeth and she was really nice and very good with my teeth. Check them out! Northside Dentistry is the BEST!

I came in yesterday morning to have my FIRST ever cavity filling procedure, Dr Robinson and my hygienist were very gentle and comforting in taking care of me. I wish I could remember the name of my hygienist because she was very sweet. I have been coming to Northside for a couple of years now and I have never had any problems or complaints. Besides my childhood dentist, Dr Raymond Kassis, Dr Robinson and Dr Vicente are my favorite dentists. They are first rate. Thank you all for being the wonderful practice that you are.

The staff were friendly but wasted my time. When I called in to book the appointment I informed them I was 18 weeks pregnant. The receptionist originally told me I may have to call my doctor but double checked with another Co worker before making me a same day appointment. When I arrived my name was called within 10 minutes and they took x-rays of my teeth on the side causing me pain. I saw the dentist about 15 minutes after xrays and she informed me that I would have to have one tooth extracted and the other needed a root canal. No surprise to me! She then consulted with another dentist who informed her that I needed both teeth extracted (one tooth was just a cavity) but being in so much pain I didn't care at the time so I said ok. When both dentist left the room to talk about my situation in the hallway I heard them mention my insurance and how it doesn't cover extractions and root canals. They also kept mentioning my being 18 weeks pregnant. Finally the initial dentist I saw informed me that they were recommending that I go to an oral surgeon who is better equipped for my situation. So I had to make a co payment for no reason whatsoever and wasted my time. They didn't even prescribe me pain meds. My tooth wasn't hurting when I went in but after all the poking and prodding it was hurting when I left. Such a waste of time and gas!

ISSUES: No bedside manners, poor filling job, and messed up billing so my insurance wouldn't cover My initial cleaning appointment was ok. I was told I have some cavities to fill. I scheduled the appointment and asked which side they were going to fill. The hygienist said left side. I sat in the chair, and the hygienist about to numb me went to the right side. I stopped her and asked again what side they were doing. The hygienist was wrong. I proceeded even though I wanted my left side done instead. The filling process was awful. They shot water and air up my nose 3 times where I felt like I was choking. The doctor and hygienist had no "bedside manners". I was never asked if I was comfortable or hurting during the procedure. Doctor finished, and I have immense pain in one of my teeth that they filled. I waited 1 week and went back in to see the issue. The hygienist said that maybe the filling got too close to my nerve so now I'll need a root canal to fix the pain. The x-ray never showed any issues that would warrant a root canal. It was a poor job drilling that made the extra nerve pain. She filed down my tooth without letting me rinse or spit out the chunks of filling left in my mouth. There is also chunks of filling between my teeth that was left there because they did such a poor job filling. Finally, I prepaid for the fillings like they asked. Then 2 weeks later, I received a bill in the mail for a couple hundred dollars. They had messed up the date with insurance, so when they originally told me insurance would cover the procedures, my insurance did not. So now I have hurting teeth and had to pay extra because they poorly managed my account. There are a lot of dentists in Charleston, go somewhere else or at-least double check what they say about your insurance.

Wonderful dental office! They fit me in for a cleaning after my previous dentist couldn't set up an appt for another 6 months. Alexandria, my hygienist, was very knowledgeable and friendly. Also, Dr. Vicente had a positive demeanor that makes you feel at ease. I plan to continue going here for my dental care.
