Dr. Metwally earned his undergraduate degree from UNC-Wilmington where he graduated with honors. He went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh where he graduated with his DMD degree in 2016. Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Metwally moved back to North Carolina where he has been providing high-quality dentistry ever since. In his spare time he enjoys playing soccer, going to the gym, and spending time with his wife and family.
Liana began her advanced education when she graduated with a degree in chemistry engineering from a university in Europe. She worked as a dental assistant (RDA) for six years before earning her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from Middlesex Community College in 2008. She has been with Northside Dental since 2016 where she enjoys educating her patients about the dental world and providing thorough, yet gentle dental care. In her spare time, Liana likes going to the beach and mountains and spending time with her family.

Dr. Metwally and his staff are friendly, personable, and professional!! I live 40 mins away but make the drive because the care is so worth it!!! Highly recommend for your dental needs!!!

Excellent dentist. Dr. Metwally is awesome. Excellent customer service. Front desk girl (I wish I knew her name) is awesome. I needed an emergency appointment, they were kind enough to squeeze me in the next. Been going here for years. Couldn't imagine going anywhere else.

I have been coming here for a few years now and it's always been great. The Dentist there now is fantastic. The staff in the back works really hard along with the Dentist to make sure we are comfortable and also understand what they are going to do. The front office had its issues with hiring after the calming of Corona like every other business but now there is a steady solid front desk system and they are GREAT. My insurance is not the easiest to deal with and Ashly has kept up contact with me durring this process. My husband loves it there Andy dad is most likely going to try them soon And we moved to Winston-Salem and still love it here.

I'm super happy to choose this place I came with an emergency and they helped me and explained the whole procedure in detail. The assistant was a sweetheart. Usually I am afraid of dental work but the doctor and the assistant were very patient with me and helped me calm down. I felt very comfortable and confident. Crown came out 2 times in less then 6mo.The crown they replaced lasted 15yrs. Front staff charged me $100 for a visit they told me was covered under my ins. The old staff was 5stars, the new people (less then a yr) are bad with no customer service skills. After I tried to explain why I should not be charged over there scheduling mistake I was told by front desk lady, she is not going to argue with me and to have a good day. Just plan rude.

As someone who's very anxious with dental visits, I really appreciated how considerate and kind the staff and Dr. Metwally were throughout the entire process. The actual procedure was also quick and efficient -- I'd definitely recommend Dr. Metwally and his practice to my friends and family!

Everyone at Northside is wonderful. Every staff member is thoughtful kind and cheerful. They make going to the dentist pleasant!! The Dr. Metwally is very pleasant and very thoughtful about his patients comfort. My favorite dentist. Never thought I would have a favorite dentist, but now I do.

Had never had this experience before at this place. First of all the hygienist that examined me and did my cleaning had nothing but negative comments about the dental office and towards myself as well. She spoke about my delay like she did jot care and spoke about my children comparing them to dogs. This is a temp employee and stated that all the employees there were also temp employee's .
