Dr. John Joseph Garza, DDS, MSD was born and raised in the Richmond/Rosenberg area of Texas. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Houston, majoring in business. As a native Texan, Dr. Garza chose to pursue his dental education at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. While in school, Dr. Garza not only focused on clinical dentistry, but also enjoyed academics and research. Dr. Garza has given presentations at the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) and Star of the South Dental Meeting. Dr. Garza completed dental school graduating in the top ten percent of his class and was honored with induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. Following dental school, Dr. Garza completed a residency program graduating with a certificate in Advance Education in General Dentistry from the University of Texas School of Dentistry. He went on to serve as a clinical assistant professor in the Restorative and Prosthodontics Department at UT School of Dentistry.
Subsequently, Dr. Garza returned to his alma mater to complete a residency in Orthodontics and earn his master's degree. Dr. Garza has also become certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Currently, Dr. Garza is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Orthodontics at UT School of Dentistry.
When Dr. Garza is away from the office he enjoys spending time with his wife, two young sons, and two dogs. In his free time, Dr. Garza can often be found tinkering under the hood of his vintage Mustang.
Dr. Tina Minh Garza has lived in the Spring/Cypress area for over 18 years. After completing middle and high school in the Klein school district, Dr. Tina completed her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX (WHOOP!). To achieve her goal of becoming a dentist she then obtained her DDS degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. While in dental school, she met her future husband, Dr. John Garza! As a dental student, Dr. Tina was actively involved in community service and leadership roles such as volunteering at the Texas Mission of Mercy and serving as President of the Asian Student Dental Association. Dr. Tina also was involved in several research projects and presented her work at the Hinman Dental Convention.
I hate the dentist, like really hate the dentist. I developed a crazy tooth pain over the weekend and it got bad enough that I couldn't sleep last night. I tried calling several emergency dentists, but none of them answer. I called Northpointe at 701am (they opened at 7) and they told me to come on down. Keep in mind I'm a new patient, so I had to do all the paperwork and stuff, but they had me back by 8 and got me squared away. Absolutely will make this our new permanent dentist. - JT

Northpointe Family Dentistry is the best dentist office I have ever been to. The entire staff from the start to finish are friendly and extremely professional. They made sure I knew exactly what they would be doing and was comfortable during the entire process. The office is extremely clean and well maintained. I would recommend them to anyone!

Had to change dentist, found Northpointe Family Dentist, gave them a try and did not regret it. Friendly and professional service, if you need something out of the ordinary you will get all the options without "upselling".

My family and I have been going to this practice for 3 years and have been satisfied with the care. Recently, I have started having severe dry mouth. I have been tested by a rheumatologist and have some abnormal labs. I wanted to have the dentist review my medications and assess how bad the dry mouth is. My optometrist feels that I could have Sjorgrens Syndrome because I also have dry eyes. I called to make an appointment and the person who answered the phone told me that the dentist would tell me to use Biotene. I told her I knew what to do for dry mouth and I wanted to discuss etiology with the dentist. She said, " you can have an appointment, but she's just going to tell you to use biotene." I couldn't get an appointment for over a month away. I told her never mind. A couple weeks later, I called the office to file a complaint and spoke with the office manager. She listened to my complaint and said she would tell the dentist. She DID NOT offer me an appointment. I have heard nothing from the dentist's office. So, I guess these guys are ok if you just have basic stuff, but if it involves anything more than that, these folks will do absolutely nothing for you. They have lost my business.

I'm new to the area So glad I found Northpointe. I had cleaning and checkup. Carol the hygienest was special because she discussed with me what she was finding tooth by tooth. Very personal and very educational. Dr. Wong is all business and I know I will never be more than a hole with teeth to her. But that's ok so long as Phillis is there caring for our needs as people.

Everyone here is so kind. They do their best to make appointment times work for you. I like that everything is explained ahead of time. I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

Came here with my 9yo. dr garza is so helpful! he was talking to my daughter making her laugh so shes not scared. shared stories about his kids so she can relate to the problem they had in past. he explained thorougly. we had a consultation and him and his staff were so nice. im moving all my kids to same clinic!
