Notice how all of the reviews for this place are at least a year old? I would not recommend this dentist. I went to Dr. Deakins in April, ended up getting a tooth pulled (a three-hour process), and the tooth next to the extraction site has been throbbing painfully ever since. I mentioned this in the follow-up visit a week after the extraction and both the assistant and Dr. Deakins ignored my concern. I would not trust this dentist!

Best place to go hands down!!! All staff was friendly and Dr. Deakins was amazing. I had an emergency and they got me right in both times this week!!

Dr. Deakins was hands down the best dentist I have ever been too. Besides feeling the shots everything else was painless. I highly recommend him to anyone needing work done. I definitely am going to bring my daughters here as well. This was the best experience I have ever had at the dentist! Oh and his staff were awesome too!!

I don't normally leave reviews but he is a great dentist! Any dentist I have gone to is very judgemental and disrespectful. But this office is the complete opposite! They are very kind! They treat you with nothing but respect! Highly recommend!!

Its fair to say I have some dental anxiety after years of having teeth that aren't in great shape. This was my first pleasant, and comfortable experience with a dentist that I can ever remember. John was kind, understanding, and refreshingly non-judgemental. He went above and beyond to explain what was currently happening with my teeth and what steps needed to be taken to continue getting my teeth and gums where they should be. He took care to make sure I was comfortable and enjoyed my visit. I have finally found the dentist I will be sticking with. I highly recommend Northland Family Dentistry. Thank you to John and his staff for showing me a dental visit doesn't have to be miserable and high stress!

This was possibly my best experience at a dentist ever. Dr. Deakins is a straight shooter. Spent quality time with me answering all my questions and asked me questions to ensure he was giving me the information I was looking for. I ended up getting 3 fillings. He was so efficient and did an amazing job. His office staff was accomodating and helpful. I can not say enough good things about this office. I would give 10 stars.

First time there. Hoped it went well after taking a blind leap from reviews and it did. Very welcoming and pleasant. Informative staff, able to communicate via text about cancellations and the opportunity to move up my appointment time. Quick and painless cleaning. I will be going back. Thanks!

Both times I've been to this office, staff has been out on lunch when we arrived. Why schedule us during or at the end of lunch if they aren't going to be there? They ignored the preferred method of contact for my partner and gave no notice of procedure pricing when discussing it, booking it, or during any reminders. Blamed us for the rate our insurance would let them charge, which we were told after arriving for the scheduled appointment thinking it was fully covered, since nothing else had been stated over the month and a half leading up to the appointment, then wouldn't accept our method of payment because the cleaning didn't cost enough for them to run it. So we missed a day of work for an appointment we walked out on due to an extreme lack of communication and what feels like very underhanded business practices. I won't recommend this place to anyone because of this. If you don't ask for specific info, they won't provide it and will blame you for not knowing ahead of time.
