Dr. Kris Johnson was raised in Fridley, Minnesota and attended college at the University of Minnesota-Duluth where he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Chemistry. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota in 1990. Upon completion of his dental training he accepted a commission as an officer in the United States Navy Dental Corps. He gained a special interest in endodontics while serving at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina and Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. Upon completion of his Naval service Dr. Johnson entered into his specialty training at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University. He returned to private practice in the Twin Cities following completion of his specialty training in 1997.
Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Association of Endodontists, the Minnesota Dental Association, and the Minneapolis District Dental Society.
Dr. Johnson and his wife, Lynn, reside in Wyoming and have three children, Cassie, Savannah, and Max. Interests include hunting, fishing, skiing, cooking, and travel. He is also active in his church in a number of capacities, including serving as a mentor to the middle school youth.

We had a last minute appointment for our 17 year old. The place we were referred to couldn't get us in for almost a month. But Northland got us in within a couple days. They were AMAZING! Dr. Johnson was impeccable and the staff has incredible customer service. I definitely recommend them and will go back if there is ever a need. Thank you Northland Endodontics!!

Dr. Kris Johnson is the best! Bar none! If there were an award for professionalism, "chairside" manner, proficiency & excellence he would surely receive it. Procedure was painless! Not so much as a slight discomfort. His manner is relaxing, friendly and reassuring. His staff? Five stars! All very professional, kind and upbeat! I highly recommend!

No mask requirement in the middle of a raging pandemic. I had called beforehand to double-check that everyone wore masks at this endodontist's office & was assured that they all did. When I arrived the receptionist was maskless along with another patient in the reception area. I left.

Doctor Kris was amazing , taking time , explained what to do ! I was suffering with my tooth ache for a week and need root canal ASAP ! He did root canal painless and he is amazing , he knows what he is doing He is gentle , as well as the staff on the clinic they all nice and friendly . Highly recommended if Someone need root canal . Emely Patient .

Had the "dreaded" root canal done today. Best experience ever!!!!! The anxiety I felt before the procedure was a complete waist of time. My expectations were surpassed. Thanks for such a wonderful experience.

It is never fun to have tooth & mouth pain! I can tell you that Dr. Kris Johnson is an amazing dentist! He makes you feel extremely comfortable. He has a way of calming you. And most importantly, he is second to none with his soft touch, knowledge and dentistry work! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. KRIS JOHNSON!! Sure is nice to be pain free.

Its not often in today's environment that you find someone that stands behind their work. Had to have some additional clean up done several months after a root canal and the follow up work was performed without charge. All work was done painlessly and professionally. Highly recommend.

I am a self employed plumber out of North Metro area. The owner of Drip Drop Plumbing. I know outstanding craftsmanship and coustermer service. They kept the procedure calm and peaceful. Even when confirming the bad tooth for the root canal.

One of dare I say most enjoyable root canals I've ever had. Perfectly pain free. Easier than a normal filling. And friendly providers to boot. Praying my other teeth stay healthy, but in the event I need another root canal, this will be the first place I go.
