Andrew Atchison, DDS is a native of Fergus Falls, MN. He graduated from Concordia College and then graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota. He was previously employed with Metro Dental care in Coon Rapids, MN. Dr. Atchison enjoys every facet of general dentistry, and he looks forward to establishing relationships with all of his clients.
Dr. Atchison is a member of one of the most highly recognized comprehensive continuing education programs, Spear Education and Study Club, where he meets regularly with colleagues for collaboration in treating complex dental cases
Along with his wife and two daughters, Dr. Atchison enjoys practicing in the Fargo-Moorhead community. Dr. Atchison is a big sports fan and also enjoys reading, running, and spending time at the lake.
Taylor started in the dental field in 2017 and became part of the Northland Dental team in 2019. She enjoys making personal connections, getting to know her patients, and helping them feel comfortable and confident in their smiles.
Tracy attended Minnesota State Community and Technical College Moorhead and joined Northland Dental in 2020 as a hygienist. She enjoys celebrating improvements in a patients oral health, teaching them the tricks they need to maintain their oral health, and forming new relationships along the way.
As a dental hygienist, Tracy provides services such as patient education, routine preventive dental cleanings, periodontal therapy with local anesthesia, sealants, and x-rays. Through it all, she focuses on forming fun and trusting relationships with her patients so they can always look forward to the best possible care with a sense of humor.
Alyssa attended Minnesota State Community and Technical College Moorhead for dental assisting. In 2016 she worked as a summer intern at Northland Dental and was hired as a dental assistant shortly after.
Alyssas role as an assistant is to support Dr. Atchison and make sure the workday runs smoothly. She enjoys getting to know patients and helping them improve their oral health and loves the variety of procedures with dental assisting. Alyssa also assists with taking x-rays and impressions, shade matching, and making temporary crowns.
Kylah enjoys the diversity of dental assisting, including seating and dismissing patients, assisting the doctor during procedures, taking x-rays, and educating patients on their treatment. She also enjoys creating personal relationships to help patients feel comfortable and ensure they have a positive experience.
As a dental hygienist, Janets goal is to positively impact the oral health of every patient that comes to our office. She enjoys meeting and connecting with the patients and educating them on how to take care of their teeth. Janets role is to take x-rays, remove plaque and tartar, perform scaling and root planing, apply sealants and fluoride, and take impressions.
Brittany attended Minnesota State Community and Technical College Moorhead for dental assisting. She graduated in 2014 and joined Northland Dental shortly after. Her job as finance manager is to make the insurance and collecting process easy for patients.
As a scheduling coordinator, Annas job is to help patients feel welcome and show them that their dental health is in great hands when they come in to get their dental needs taken care of. She enjoys greeting our patients when they first walk through our doors and ensuring that all their dental needs are scheduled in a timely fashion.

Dr. Andrew Atchison has been a God send. I first came to him with quite a mess in my mouth, after lack of dental insurance kept me from necessary routine maintenance for almost a decade. He took me on as a patient & set up an affordable plan, to get me to where I needed to be. He is straightforward and puts his patients' well being above all else. Not only is he a fellow Fergus Falls Otter, but he exudes a kindness on a level that restores your faith in mankind. He has demonstrated; people who simply want to help other people, do exist.

I absolutely HATE going to the dentist. I have had some super traumatic experiences in the past so when we moved to the area finding a new dentist was a stressful process and discovering I not only needed a root canal but also and extraction was so terrible. I was beyond nervous but honestly it was not that bad of an experience. Neither was a walk in the park but the staff is AMAZING and made sure everything was as painless as possible. I would definitely recommend and will be going back in the future.

I think this is the first dental company I have been with that I actually felt 100 percent comfortable being at. Super friendly staff that seemed to go above and beyond to make sure my teeth were heathy, got many compliments about what I was doing right, and left feeling very positive. I am very glad I found this place, especially since I really had no idea which place to turn to after moving. 12/10 would recommend!

We had a great experience at Northland Dental. My daughter's tooth had cracked and it needed to come out immediately. They were able to get us in on short notice. Dr. Atchison was very informative and positive and walked us through what was going to happen and what needed to be done. We will be coming back!
