My experience at Dr Brown's office was awesome. The staff is very friendly and personable. Dr Brown is excellent at his craft. I have had no problems or issues. Would highly recommend for any oral surgery needs!

All office personnel are very courteous and professional. Dr. Brown explained the complete procedure several times. He even called me that evening after hours to ensure that I was where I needed to be in the healing process. Exceptional experience all the way around.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I was very nervous about having my wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Brown took his time to explain the whole process to me and put me at ease with the procedure. Everything went very smoothly, and I was quite surprised that the recovery was much less painful that I had imagined. I am very thankful that I was in good hands with Dr. Brown and his staff.

Dr. Brown is a prime example of surgeons being rude, egotistical, or just plain jerks. Normally they are at least competent, but he has no clue how to run and staff a friendly practice. Personal accounts below: A month ago while in the waiting room for my sibling's visit, Dr. Brown confronted the front desk workers and receptionists, yelling at them in anger over his own mistake (he said so afterwards still in earshot)... RIGHT IN FRONT OF PATIENTS IN THE WAITING ROOM. And it's not just him; almost every time I went there, the older ladies in the front office were extremely rude to not only their own staff, but often rude to patients as well. I haven't seen a private practice THIS unprofessional and toxic in my decades of living in Slidell. My advice: go to any other oral surgeon. I guarantee that any other place on the Northshore will have a better environment than that horrendous place. Takeaway: If your doctor is a bad person, you don't have to put up with it! There are plenty of them to choose from. Hopefully this review serves to inform the patients about what their money is supporting, and serve as a warning of caution for future patients.. If they are this unprofessional in the front, I can't imagine how bad things must behind the scenes, where unprofessionalism can lead to serious problems for the patients.

I love my dentist, but some things require a surgeon. Based on a recommendation from my girlfriend, who is a hygienist, I went to see Dr. Brown for a routine tooth extraction after a back tooth split down the middle. The staff is professional and caring. Dr. Brown was cordial and informative during the consultation and highly skilled during the surgery. I chose not to go under during the procedure and recovered with minimal discomfort. I'm returning in several weeks to continue the process toward replacing the tooth. Overall, a great experience.

Dr. Brown and the entire staff are amazing. I had to have my wisdom teeth extracted surgically, and was pretty nervous about the situation. They were wonderful at making me feel at ease every step of the way. I was given very clear instructions for before & after surgery and they took the time to address all of my concerns. I was even sent videos to watch that explained everything as well. I had my procedure on a Friday and Dr. Brown called to check on me that evening and made sure I had contact info in case I needed anything over the week end. The recovery was smooth and very little pain given it was a pretty difficult surgery. I've never in 38 years had a dental experience be as personable, caring, and thorough. I would hightly recommend using them.

Each time we've had procedures done at Northlake Oral and Facial Surgery, the experience has been top-notch. Dr. Brown sets clear expectations on the procedure, so the patient knows how to prepare, what will happen during the procedure, and all post-op directions are clear as well. Additionally, the staff is fantastic - very friendly, efficient, and comforting. I also appreciate the fact that you know where you stand financially before your procedure which helps with decision-making. I was a patient in November 2021 and my daughter was a patient this past January and both experiences were great. I would recommend Dr. Brown to anyone in need of oral surgery.

After more than a decade of living with at times, completely debilitating mouth/jaw pain and receiving different medical reports, proposed solutions or worse, lack of them, enter Northlake surgery and in what felt like one fell swoop all of my fears about the oral surgery I needed were completely laid to rest by Dr. Brown. He is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also notably compassionate and patient. After being given the run around by dentists and oral surgeons alike, for more than a decade and across four different states, in one short visit, this doctor not only quelled my fears that kept me from receiving the surgery I needed, but even prioritized it during the holiday season so that I wouldn't have to stay in pain one moment longer than necessary. Not only was my surgery scheduled and completed in less than a week from my initial visit, but the Doctor himself personally reached out to me following the surgery to make sure that all was well and to answer any questions I had about my recovery and healing process. I'm beyond grateful to FINALLY have this (very literally) painful chapter of my life behind me. I highly recommend this practice to anyone in search of an oral surgeon with not only the knowledge of exactly what needs to be done, but also the willingness to bring that personalized solution to pass in a timely fashion. Truly, I can't say enough good things about this practice, so please, do yourself a favor & just stop reading and call already!!!! You will not be disappointed!

Dr. Brown and his staff were wonderful! Dr. Brown explained everything in detail about my procedure so there were no surprises. On the day of the procedure, everyone put me at ease. The doctor called at the end of the day to check on me. Top notch office!

Dr. Brown was absolutely amazing. I have a genetic disorder, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which can make procedures of any kind much more dangerous and precarious for the doctor performing them. I had many concerns about my jaw coming out of place due to chronic dislocations, or possible issues with bleeding or not healing properly, and if this surgery went wrong I would have dealt with my jaw dislocating and being too loose for the rest of my life. Dr. Brown listened to all of my concerns and reassured me that he would be incredibly gentle and careful about my joints and was very open about any questions and was not stuck up or dismissive like the closer oral surgeon I spoke to before going to Dr. Brown. He said that he was always gentle but made sure to keep it in mind that I am extra fragile. After getting this done, I haven't had any jaw issues or jaw pain, the healing process has been good, and my TMJ has improved. I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed, and I tend to be extra sensitive when it comes to mouth pain, but it did not hurt as bad as I expected. It hurt for about a week but after that it got better quickly and the healing process has been great. The staff were friendly and the environment felt comfortable and safe. If anyone feels nervous about getting their teeth removed and want someone who will listen and make sure to take care of your needs, definitely go here and see Dr. Brown.

My name is Peggy. I had to have oral surgery at Northlake Oral and Facial Surgical Center. Dr J. Brown did my surgery. He tried to reassure prior to the the surgery that I would have very little discomfort. I am a wuss when it comes to anything dealing with teeth. I have been fortunate to find doctors who are experts in handling patients with very little pain afterwards. I would recommend him to anyone.

First, everyone here is so friendly and accommodating! Second, I had to have 2 wisdom teeth and a molar removed at once. The procedure went swiftly and efficiently enough for me to not have any pain the days following! I highly recommend Dr. Brown for anyone who may need something done!
