Dr. Nagel was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of a dentist. He attended Indiana University of PA and obtained a BS in Biology in 1988 along with being an All-American swimmer and captain of the team. From there Dr. Nagel attended dental school at the University of Pittsburgh and graduated in 1993 with a DMD degree. After working in his fathers practice, he opened two practices of his own, one in 1997 and another in 2004. He sold his two practices in 2008 and decided to move to North Carolina where his two brothers live.
Dr. Nagel worked in the University and Cornelius area from 2008-2009. He started work for Friendly Dental in 2009 in the Mooresville location and continues to work there Monday, Tuesday and Fridays. He opened the Northlake office location in 2012. He has over 20 years of experience as a dentist and has amassed extensive skill and knowledge in all aspects of dentistry over that time. Dr. Nagel emphasizes cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry and has exceptional skill in implant restoration. He is also a member of the prestigious Seattle Study Club and attends many continuing education seminars to acquire the knowledge to institute the latest techniques in dentistry.
Dr. Nagel lives in Denver, NC with his wife Susan, son, daughter and 3 dogs. In addition Dr. Nagel and Susan are expecting identical triplet boys in June 2014. He enjoys spending time on the water, mountain biking, watching his beloved Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers on TV, and working on his yard.
Dr. Elyse Maiorini grew up in Farmington, CT with her parents and grandmother. She completed her undergraduate work at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 2008.
After college, she spent a year performing research in childrens oral health at Columbia University in New York City. Dr. Maiorini received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2013 and went on to complete a two-year general practice residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, during which she served as chief resident in her second year.
As a general dentist, Dr. Maiorini enjoys all areas of comprehensive dental care, including preventive treatment, crown and bridgework, root canals, and tooth replacement options. She is a certified Invisalign provider and a member of the American Dental Association and South Carolina Dental Association.
When she is not taking care of patients, Dr. Maiorini loves spending time with family and friends, playing tennis, going to Orangetheory, running, traveling, gardening, playing the violin, and eating Italian food.

At the last minute I found out that I needed a root canal and Dr. Nagle was able to complete it with short notice . Not only was the staff friendly and professional but the prices are reasonable. Dr. Nagle and his staff have wonderful bedside manner and made what would typically be an unpleasant experience simple. I would definitely recommend this dental office

Precious the DA was excellent explained thoroughly every single thing they did. Her personality was awesome. I felt so relaxed and right at home. The dentist was super as well and did a tremendous job. My overall experience from 1-10 was a 10plus and I was very satisfied today

I would give 0 stars if I could. I scheduled an appointment in late March and they gave me a date for April, things came up so I had to reschedule, I went in that second time whoever "scheduled" me DIDNT!!! Then they asked if I wanted to stay another 10 minutes to see if the next appointment (which should have been me) would show up. I declined and asked to get ANOTHER appointment and she said they couldn't see me until September which is 5 months away!!!! They are understaffed as well, DO NOT GO HERE

On May 9th I was scheduled and upon arrival everything was fine. Once I was taken in the back that's when I experienced extreme discomfort and treatment was poor. I have anxiety at the dentist due to past experiences. I told each person who touched my mouth that I was nervous and pain was very high. But This one particular employee was very rude and she began to question me about my anxiety and telling me need to take medicine prior to coming for next appointments. I feel extremely attacked because I don't take medicine. She was completely out of line. I walked out in tears. I'm never coming back and if you have anxiety that's not the place to go to. I treated everyone in there with respect and it saddens me that Ms. precious was very insensitive and very disrespectful.

Nice dentist. Been here three times, so far so good. They worked with me on a payment plan which is the only way I can afford to go to the dentist. I bet much appreciated that. Dr. Nagel is funny, humourous.

I have been here twice and each experience was wonderful!! The whole staff is friendly and answers your questions down to a T!! They make sure you're comfortable and they are very attentive and fast....I would definitely recommend!!

They are awesome. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. They can do everything from cleanings to brace's. I loved being able to go to one office for all my families needs. Awesome people highly recommend.
