Thanks to research by Dr. Muecke and Dr. Leever, as well as our partnership with Georgia Tech Research Institute, Northgate Station Dentistry was the first general dentistry practice in the country to have a CT scanner on-site. This technology allows us to utilize low radiation, 3-D imaging, which enhances our ability to create effective treatment plans for our patients.
When it comes to treating our patients, our philosophy has always been to provide patient-centred and patient-directed care. We have learned that when patients are properly informed, they are able to make the right decisions with regard to their dental health. Before creating a treatment plan, we gather as much information as possible, explain the issue and all treatment options to our patients in easy-to-understand terms, and empower the patient to make the final decision regarding their own treatment. Dr. Randy Muecke is the founder of Northgate Station Comprehensive Dentistry. He has been providing preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry services to the people of the Atlanta metropolitan area throughout his distinguished career. Dr. Muecke is known for his ability to explain to his patients the nature of the problem in a way thats easy to understand, as he specializes in patient-centered and patient-directed dentistry. After explaining all possible treatment options to his patients, he allows them to make an informed decision regarding their treatment.
Dr. Muecke was born in Sanford, Florida and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from the Emory University School of Dentistry, where he served as Student Body President. After serving as a dentist in the U.S. Air Force for three years, Dr. Muecke returned to the Atlanta area and opened his own practice in Sandy Springs, offering his patients comprehensive and attentive dental care.
In 1999, Dr. Muecke and his business partner, David Leever, D.D.S., formed a partnership with George Tech Research Institute on a patent that involves using CT data to simplify complex dental procedures. As a result, Dr. Muecke became the first general dentistry practitioner in the U.S. to have a CT scanner in his office. This allowed him to take 3-D X-ray images of his patients teeth and jaw, establishing his comprehensive dental practice as one of the most cutting edge in the country.
Today, Dr. Muecke and the staff at Northgate Station Comprehensive Dentistry continue their commitment to using the latest technological advances to provide the highest level of care possible for all their patients.
Dr. Leever was born in South Haven, Michigan. While he was growing up, he and his family moved to Tampa, Florida, where he attended Woodrow Wilson Junior High school and H.B. Plant Senior High School. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida, earned his D.D.S. from Emory University School of Dentistry, and completed his residency in orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania.
In 2000, Dr. Leever became a certified Invisalign provider. Since then, he has treated hundreds of satisfied patients, helping to correct a variety of orthodontic concerns. Dr. Leever has utilized Invisalign as a treatment option during its journey to becoming one of the most effective ways of correcting orthodontic issues.
Dr. Leever is a member of several renown organizations, including the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, and Hillsborough County Dental Association. He also holds membership in the American Association of Orthodontists, Florida Society of Orthodontics, World Federation of Orthodontists, and Societe Francaise dOrthopedie Dento-Faciale.
Dr. Leever is also a published author and respected lecturer. He also holds both domestic and international patents for a dental device and technique that improves the accuracy of dental restoration construction, orthodontic tooth movement, and jaw surgery corrections.
Kate was raised in Ohio and moved to Georgia in 2012. She currently resides in Big Canoe with her husband Chris and their two furry felines. You can find Kate at the Big Canoe Fitness Center teaching her Zumba class or lifting weights. Outside of work she enjoys being with family, traveling, photography, dancing, hiking, and cooking. Kates friends would describe her as Outgoing, Funny, and Kind-hearted. In 2006, Kate received her degree in Dental Assisting in Cleveland Ohio, where she was employed with Cleveland Clinic Hospital. She is very knowledgeable in the following Dental Specialties- Orthodontics, Pediatrics, Oral Surgery, Prosthodontics, and Periodontics. She enjoys a little bit of everything when it comes to Dentistry. She expanded her knowledge and became an EFDA, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in Georgia, and got trained with Dental Administrative. Kate is now the manager of Northgate Station Comprehensive Dentistry and is glad to call it her second home.
Our Dental Hygienist, Lana, is originally from a southern city of Russia, Rostov- on-Don. Lana studied business and planning at Rostov State University of Economics. Despite her promising career in the business world, her heart was always in dentistry. In 1992 she had an opportunity to come to the United States and build a future here. Her family settled in West Hartford, Connecticut. Lana found herself a job in a large dental practice as a sterilization room supervisor. She was a quick learner and soon began assisting, as well as attending UCONN for English classes. In 1996, she came to Atlanta and fell in love with southern hospitality. Right before the Summer Olympics Atlanta was growing and offering numerous business opportunities. Lana started working as a lead dental assistant in a busy dental practice in Sandy Springs that specialized in treating challenging, apprehensive patients. Years of experience working with true dental cowards taught Lana how to turn patients fears and anxieties into joy, comfort, and confidence. Academically, Lana transferred to Georgia State University, where she took pre-dental hygiene courses. She was accepted to Fortis Dental Hygiene Program in Smyrna, GA, and graduated in 2012 with numerous clinical and academic awards. Over the years, Lana and her husband visited Big Canoe for short weekend getaways and special occasions. It didnt take long for the family to fall in love with North Georgia nature and get involved with the community. The couple is the parents of four children and has one grandchild. They also have an adorable rescue dog, Pike. Lana enjoys all outdoor sports, hiking, and traveling. She is a proud supporter of clean eating, healthy lifestyles, and daily exercising.
Certified Dental Assistant for Northgate Station Dentistry. She lives in Dawsonville with her husband and her daughter. Kayla loves to help people with their dental needs. She is very comforting to the patients and has a gentle touch.
Madison is our Certified Dental Assistant. She is our OSHA officer and her main duty is to implement the infection control protocols and procedures as well as quality control of every instrument and material to be used by the Dentist, Hygienist, or any personnel in the operatory, laboratory or sterilization areas. We are so grateful to have Madi on our team.
