I have been to Northgate two times now and I am less than impressed to put it mildly. My first appointment, I trusted their judgement and ended up spending money on dental care I probably did not need and told me it would cost less than what they charged me. When I called about it, it took them over a week to get back to me and I still don't understand why I was charged more. They also kept pushing Invisalign, which I am not going to get but my trusted dentist for years (in my hometown) has never mentioned that once. Definitely seems like a money grab on top of all the other things. The second time, I went in for two fillings and waited over 45 minutes passed my dental appointment, so I left. The front desk lady said they were a few minutes behind, and I know it's not her fault but that is more than a few minutes. My previous dentist is no longer in my network unfortunately, but I would drive 3 hours to them just to have person-centered dental care.

When I first became a patient at Northgate, my mouth was in bad shape. I had seen a dentist maybe twice in 20 years or so. They didn't have a lot to work with. Yet they never judged or made me feel awkward about my poor dental hygiene. I knew that getting my mouth in better shape ( good shape is very doubtful at this point) would be a long, painful process. But Northgate made it suck a lot less. They are very patient and understanding. The pain was a lot less that I was expecting, and the prices seem reasonable.

I tried Northgate Dental twice and was disappointed. Their staff is friendly but the dentist tries too hard to sell add-on products to their clients. The dentist first told me I needed Invisalign (I had braces for 5 years), that I needed special fluoride toothpaste (at an additional cost of course, and told me I needed 3 fillings. I second-guessed the dentist and tried another dentist in the Peoria-area, and the new dentist did not recommend any of the above. Please take Northgate's advice with a grain of salt before agreeing to any charges.

Hygienist was rude and cut my sons tongue and tore up his gums. I'm fairly confident they are scamming people too. They said that my son had sealant on 2 teeth in his records, but she showed me that he didn't have them..... he has only ever gone to this office and I know that I paid for sealant and had discussed it with them in the past and his teeth should've had them.

My first visit was very pleasant. Everyone is very friendly and made me feel at ease. As a healthcare professional myself, I tend to hold other healthcare professionals at a higher standard. I was very impressed with the knowledge of my hygienist and and everyone. I look forward to the goal of my treatment plan!

Love the staff at Northgate. They were able to get me fit in on quick notice because a dental issue arose quickly. They found a way to get my cleaning done same day while addressing all my needs. Dr Z is amazing, she caught a dental issues I didn't even know were present and got it treated quickly so it didn't cost me thousands in the long run. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. I would highly recommend this office.

Money hungry, patients are not the first priority. Cancelled my appointment, no notice. Lost my phone Sunday before the 4th of July. They must of texted me on Tuesday bc of the holiday. Go in on Wednesday my appointment had been cancelled no email or anything. Was my last week of dental insurance. Before I start a new job and have to go without of insurance for a few months. Hope I don't end up needing a crown because of this. Just be cautious of working with them. Some staff are little rough with your mouth too.

I had new partial made last November after having alot of work done. I received the partial and after a month or two it cracked. Northgate sent them to the lab and supposedly they repaired them. Same day I picked them up I got a subway sandwich for lunch and they cracked again biting into a sandwich! Forward to today 3/21/22 I had an appointment for them to fit a wax tempory to see if the fit was right before they remade the new partial. One hour before my appointment the receptionist called and said they would have to reschedule because they didn't receive the wax model. I expressed I wasn't happy because I paid for new partial in November and for the last 4 or 5 months I have been wearing my old 20 year old partial that is worn out and the reason I went there to begin with. The receptionist on the phone had an attitude and I guess she didn't want to handle a complaint. After the phone call I decided to go over and see about getting my money back for the partial I still don't have! When I arrived at the office she still had an attitude and when I asked about a refund she pulled out the drawer on her desk and said " do you see any money in this drawer?" I never asked for money just a refund for something that I haven't received so I could go elsewhere to get a partial made! They didn't like that there were customers in the office that could hear that I wasn't happy. Not my fault that is how there office is laid out! She could have offered to go to a room if they didn't want patients to hear a complaint. I finally got the number for corporate and after several calls and speaking with several people they are supposed to refund my money for the partial. They said it could take 30 days to show up in my account. Didn't take that long to take it out!!! I want to thank Scott for his help and he actually sounded like he was understanding. Dr. Z. Was great and most everyone is nice but the receptionist has an attitude if you have a complaint. I told corporate what happened and nobody seemed concerned that they were losing a customer who had spent alot of money there. Here's the best part when I was making all the calls trying to find out about a refund, the receptionist said that they approved my refund and they were dismissing me as a patient! Lol. Hopefully I will get my refund soon so I can go elsewhere to get a new partial made. I would definitely go elsewhere if you want partials made. Horrible service for a partial. And I feel most of the problem is the lab they use. There were no problems at anytime with all the work in had done but when it came to a new partial it has been a ongoing problem since the start. UPDATE: I ended up going to BRIMFIELD FAMILY DENTAL and I received excellent treatment and everyone's super nice! I had a new partial made and it fits great no problems with it breaking! I am so glad I left Northgate and went to Brimfield Family Dental! I live in Peoria and it is well worth the drive! No problems at all! I highly recommend Brimfield Family Dental!

After my treatments for cancer in 2020 I was very worried about my oral health. I was very nervous because I heard a lot of horror stories that other cancer patients had lost all their teeth. At my first appointment I met Kyle who was very good at putting my mind at ease. He was very thorough and answered all my questions about my care. He even scanned my teeth for Invisalign when I had told him about my concern that my teeth had shifted back after my puppy ate my retainer. I never realized how many options of care there were. Dr. Z has done 2 fillings so far on teeth I thought couldn't be saved. I didn't even feel the injection which for me is another scary part. I don't usually write reviews but I can't stop bragging about this office. They have put my fears at ease. Thanks Dr. Z for such a great experience.

Horrible service paid for a fully smile makeover and didn't get to finish. I looked before I started the process. My caps kept falling they keep switch the dates of when my teeth will be in. No consideration that they messed up my smile more then fixed and now they denied my service

My first visit was a little iffy due to confusion about my appointment and that i wanted to have them as my new dentist, but I did go back for my cleaning today (getting back to exam/cleaning same appt). It was great! I did have about a 15 minute wait, which isn't too bad. I received excellent care from everyone I came in contact with today. I'm now getting previous dental work fixed, so I'll be there for a few more visits. I'm confident in my dentist and her team!

Zero complaints. I had great interactions with everyone I had contact with. My Hygentist, Kyle was great, he was incredibly knowledgeable and just a nice guy. Dr.Z was very nice for the brief interaction I had with her this go around. Thank you all!
