Migrated from the Philippines in 1973, Dr. Joseph M. Arzadon, an Oral, Maxillofacial and Facial Cosmetic Surgeon, was raised in Alexandria, Virginia, where he attended local schools. He received his undergraduate degree in Zoology from the George Washington University, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maryland School Of Dentistry, and received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School Of Medicine. He completed his internship in General Surgery and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Connecticut Health Center, where he became Chief Resident from 1995-1996.
Starting out as an associate in 1996, Dr. Arzadon quickly gained the trust and confidenceof his colleagues and patients. In October 1997, he founded Northern Virginia Surgical Arts with the opening of the first office in Arlington. In December 2000, the second office was established in Gainesville. In June 2002, the cosmetic practice was expanded with the opening of The Spa Clinic in Gainesville. In September 2006, the third office was opened in Manassas Park.Dr. Arzadon has privileges at the Washington Hospital Center. His special interests are facial cosmetic, dental implant, and reconstructive surgery. Since he first opened his practice, Dr. Arzadon has performed over a thousand facial cosmetic procedures and placed thousands of dental implants along with major bone grafting as well as routine oral surgery and maxillofacial surgeries.In his spare time, Dr. Arzadon volunteers as Chief Medical Officer of the Medical Mission of Mercy, USA (also known as the Philippine-American Medical Mission of the Metro-Washington DC, Inc.). This is a non-profit health organization, which provides free medical and dental care to poverty stricken people in the Philippines. To date, they have treated over 60,000 patients. Dr. Arzadon has been an active volunteer to the medical missions in the Philippines, providing cleft lip and palate surgery since 1997, and has personally treated over 300 patients with cleft lip and palate.
He met his wife, Catherine Panlilio, M.D., during a medical mission. They are blessed with three very young children, Christopher, Robertand Lauren Marie. They live in Falls Church, Virginia, where he enjoys gardening and keeping koi ponds.Dr. Arzadon remains current with the newer techniques in the field of maxillofacial and cosmetic surgery through continuing education. He believes in treating patients in the same way he would his family, and that listening is the key to a successful outcome.

Like many patients, I normally do not post comments, good or bad about any organization. However Dr. Liang and his staff have been excellent and accommodating with the procedures that I have had. Essentially an extraction and implant. Can't say it was completely "painless" actually just a sore jaw. The support staff are extremely nice and professional from the assistants in the procedure as well as the reception, and billing coordinators. While no one truly enjoys dental work, it is a necessity, and I could not recommend another practice as the team at NoVA Surgical Arts is beyond exceptional.

I usually do not leave reviews, regardless if the place were a positive or negative experience, but this practice is definitely an exception that I had to write a review. If you are looking for a place to have your wisdom teeth extracted, I would highly recommend NOVA surgical arts! I have a bit of dental phobia, due to past bad experiences with other dentist, but this practice did not add to further dental phobia. In fact, it sort of eased it. If you are worried about which doctor to choose, I would definitely recommend Dr. Blais since he made the entire process a breeze! Dr. Blais and his surgical assistants were so professional and reacted quickly in my distress during the extraction and after everything was settled, made the entire process a cakewalk. Before I knew it, the extraction was over. The team is open to answer any wisdom teeth related questions, offer post-op care advice, and even offered your preference of ice cream flavor to enjoy after the extraction! The front office staff (Jaida and Jen) also added to the pleasant experience of this practice in scheduling and rescheduling the extraction appointments. The overall office is clean and calming when waiting in the lobby. Overall, I would 11/10 recommend NOVA surgical arts if you are looking to have your wisdom teeth pulled.

I cannot recommend this practice enough! The staff was efficient, friendly, and very professional. I felt very comfortable throughout my visit and I was seen right on time. The staff was thorough and courteous. Dr Arazadon took his time and explained all of my treatment options until I felt confident. The practice exceeded all of my expectations.

From start to finish, the entire staff and Dr. Arzadon are welcoming, professional, knowledgeable and comforting! I just had my main chewing back molar removed, in preparation for an implant, late afternoon yesterday and never thought I would say that it was a pleasurable experience. It was! I am so impressed!!!!

Extraction of three teeth including one wisdom tooth was flawless as far as I can tell. My surgeon was experienced and highly skilled. Each tooth took about 3 minutes under general anesthetics.

My son had his 4 wisdom teeth plus 2 extra teeth removed from Northern Virginia Surgical Arts. There were 4 locations and we picked the one in Warrenton. We were impressed by how friendly the doctor and staff were since our consultation. They were all very nice and helpful. On New Years Eve, Dr. Blais had spent time with us and made my son feel relaxed and comfortable until the Anesthesia took effect. The procedure went very smoothly. He didn't even know that his 6 teeth had been removed after he woke up. He didn't feel pain at all even after the numbness went away. After the surgery, Dr. Blais and the nurse came in and explained the post-surgery home care very clearly. My son and I felt we were taken care of very well. Today is day 3 after his surgery, my son's recovered very well at home and no pain at all. He was able to enjoy some miso soup I cooked for him:) I plan to cook some spicy chicken green curry for Dr. Blais and the staff there. Thank you so much for a great experience!

Very efficient and organized. Dr. Kenneth A Blais was great and polite and so was his assistant, i think her name was Stacy, very caring. Loved the instructions detailing how to take care after was great help. Even though they told verbally do(s)and don't after the procedure that little paper came out very handy. also bill was printed out, outlined and all in a bag with other essential items!!! thank you all the team of Dr Blais.

My wife had three teeth extracted - needless to say she was quite nervous. The team in the Warrenton office were amazing! Dr. Blais explained the procedure and process to her during the consult and made her feel relaxed and confident. On the day of the procedure he was quick and efficient and even made time to sit with her during recovery to ensure she was feeling well. Excellent customer focus. Michelle, Stacy, Sydney, Jen and Kristi made the entire experience seamless - from check-in, insurance billing, pre-op and post-op, everything was professional, efficient, and patient focused. We highly recommend Dr. Blais and the team NVA Surgical Arts, Warrenton. All things considered (i.e., COVID) don't know how things could have been better.

I was so impressed by Jen, Kristi, Jen,Stacie, Michelle, Sydney, and of course Dr.A. For something that should have been I pleasurable, the staff made the experience very pleasurable. The work that was done was excellent. It was well described and the procedure was very efficient. I had more trouble getting a haircut than I did getting an implant for the Warrenton Office.

I am pleased with my decision on choosing this surgical center. The healthcare team at this facility are beyond professional. Everyone on staff are welcoming and make you feel more comfortable than you would back at home. I had earlobe repair surgery performed by Dr. Arzadon, and he did a fantastic job. The team that helped with my surgery, Jen, Stacie, Michelle and Syd, were all very helpful throughout the procedure. They all made sure I was taken care of and comfortable the whole time. It was a pain-free procedure and I was in-and-out within an hour. It was like a fun Sunday afternoon at the beach! I can't express enough gratitude for everyone working at the front desk, the patient coordinators, the surgical assistants and the surgeon. I am immensely appreciative for everyone that works here. Thank you Michelle, Stacie, Jen, Syd and Dr. Arzadon!
